TWO 5 Star Reviews for No Quarter (Bounty #1) by Christine d’Abo #MM #SciFi @Christine_dAbo

CoverTitle: No Quarter (Bounty #1)
Author Name & Publisher: Christine d’Abo (Riptide Publishing)
Publication Date & Length: April 25, 2016 – 240 pgs

When bounty hunter Gar Stitt is given a simple locate-and-retrieve mission, he’s convinced it’s a waste of his skills. His success rate is legendary, after all, and Captain Faolan Wolf isn’t hard to find. He’s the most notorious pirate in the galaxy, and when he shows up planetside to take his pleasures, he’s far from subtle.

Faolan never expected a hot but tightly wound hunter to walk into his private party and try to apprehend him single-handedly. And when an unexpected betrayal forces them to work together, Faolan’s even more surprised to find himself drawn to Gar personally—especially since neither of them do personal.

Gar had intended to put Faolan in prison. Instead he finds his solitary existence shaken by his desire for the pirate. And when the bounty hunter becomes the hunted, he must put his faith in Faolan and his pirate crew, or run the risk of ending up dead.

Christine d’Abo did such an amazing job in this book. I have never read anything by this particular author but I will be after reading this book. No Quarter Bounty was such an awesome read that I can not even find the right words to express the truth to just how much I enjoyed this book.

This is a book about bounty hunters (Gar), pirates (Faolan), missing sisters, crazy crew members, bosses that have a god complex, and traitors.

This book was so action packed that I never knew when an attack on ones ship was going to happen. There was so many twist and turns that I kept wondering who the traitor was and when we would find out what was the reason behind the hit put out on Gar.

As far as Gar and Faolan was concerned, these two are so opposite of the other that it is not even funny. Gar works in bringing criminals to justice and let’s face the facts, Faolan is the lord of criminals. But even with that between the two of them, they are so much alike in other ways. They both keep their feelings locked close to them. Neither man truly lets anyone in. But together they bring out all these emotions that neither wanted to feel and they give each other strength to live, to keep fighting, to keep lookin for answers, and most of all to love again. They are the perfect pair. They complete each other.

I cannot wait to read the next book in the series and I hope it is more on the two men or at leasts gives us a glimpse into what is happening with them.

No Quarter is an intense and sexy space adventure! I hadn’t read anything by Christine d’Abo before, and this just blew me away.
Gar and Faolan are well-developed and intriguing characters. It’s fascinating watching as each tries to come to terms with the inner turmoil that this new relationship causes. And their banter and push-pull for control is entertaining and hot as hell.
The story is immediately engaging and the pacing is perfect as it twists and turns. It’s a great blend of excitement, drama, and steamy romance. Even though this is the first book in the series, it is also a complete story that can stand alone quite well. No Quarter focuses on introducing the characters and their relationships and shows us a piece of their world(s). There are still lots of things to explore in the rest of the series, and I’m excited to keep going with the next book.
I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a strong Sci-Fi story with erotic romance, especially if you’re looking to jump into a new exciting series.

A romance novelist and short story writer, Christine has over thirty publications to her name. She loves to exercise and stops writing just long enough to keep her body in motion too. When she’s not pretending to be a ninja in her basement, she’s most likely spending time with her family and two dogs.

My thoughts on any of my Goodreads reviews are only my opinion as a reader. I don’t post anything here that I’d give less than three stars to.
