Title: Beautiful Boy
Author Name & Publisher: Grace R. Duncan (Dreamspinner Press)
Publication Date & Length: November 20, 2015 – 280 pgs

Synopsis

Malcolm Tate hung up his flogger when his submissive sought out another Dom and landed in the hands of a serial killer. Convinced his lack of dominance sent his sub away, Mal has spent two years blaming himself for what happened. But when his best friend finally convinces him to go back to the local dungeon, Mal’s grateful. Especially when he wins beautiful, submissive, firmly closeted Kyle Bingham in a charity slave auction.

College grad Kyle hasn’t earned enough to move out of the loft his conservative, homophobic parents bought, much less to buy any of the other things still in their name. When he’s won at auction by the hot, amazing Mal, he’s shocked that anyone would want him. No one else seemed to—not his parents, his former Doms, or any of his disastrous dates.

But Mal does want him and Kyle lets his guard down, only to be outed to his parents. With his world crashing down, he must find a way to trust Mal—and their developing relationship—or risk losing everything.

Review

FiveStarsIf I could give this book 10 stars I would. I loved this book! I mean LOVED!!! I was drawn in from the very first chapter and I couldn’t put this book down. The blurb of the book tells you what the book was about. What it can’t tell you is how well the characters are written, how much of a connection Kyle and Mal have and how you can feel it the entire time. It wasn’t forced, it didn’t seem fake, it felt so real. This was one of the best BDSM books I have ever read, you could see that both Master and boy wanted to be there, that they wanted to please each other and they knew when enough was enough and weren’t afraid to stop things. Master/Mal and boy/Kyle were so beautiful together no matter if they were Master/boy or Mal/Kyle either way you could feel the love and passion between them. I will always think of this book when I see a chess set and watch any of the Lord of the Rings movies. Fantastic book.

This book was so beautiful!
With this book you get Malcolm who lost his sub two years before when he was killed by a serial killer. After that he stopped being a Dom and going to the club because he felt like he had failed his Sub. It took his good friends to get him to go back and the night he does it just happens to be the same night there is a auction. That is the night he meets Kyle and the moment he lays eyes on him he knows that he wants Kyle to be his boy.
Kyle is firmly in the closet due to the way his family is and knowing if he tells them he is gay they will disown him. But he cant help yearning for a Dom who will give him what he needs.
I have to say I loved these two characters! The way they were together and how you could feel how much these two really cared for each other.
The way this author pulled you into this story and the way she wrote these characters and their BDSM relationship was honestly beautiful.
There was one part towards the end that I was unsure of how I would feel after reading it because I have never read anything like that in a BDSM book before but the way the author wrote it I felt like it was done perfectly. I do not want to give away any spoilers because this book was just so good you really need to read this for yourself.

So I will leave this review with I really loved this book!
I would 100% recommend this book!

FourandHalfStars

First let me say that this is the first book I’ve read by this author and she wins high marks from me. The writing was excellent and I really enjoyed reading this book. I had to deduct a half of star because I just could believe that Mal’s best friend took two years to explain how he felt that Mal was not responsible for his subs death. But I absolutely loved Kyle and the chemistry between Kyle and Mal was sizzling. I will definitely look for more books by this author.

I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story.  While it wasn’t one that I absolutely loved, it was well planned out, had deep and meaningful exchanges between characters and was emotional.
Mal, who lost his sub to a serial killer is somewhat lost.  He has avoided dominating anyone since he lost his submissive.  With the help of his friends, Mal attends an event at his old club and “wins” Kyle.  Emotions and feelings awaken in Mal that he thought were long gone.
Kyle is somewhat of a closed book.  I was a little hard pressed to figure out his character.  All you really know about him is that he craves being dominated and comes from an unforgiving family.  But, other than that, you don’t really know about his work, other friends, etc.
I wish that Kyle’s character had more background and that we were able to see more of his struggle in the middle of the story.  Also, I wished that we were able to see the struggle that Mal was going through too.  I felt that it was inferred, but we didn’t really know what they were feeling or thinking.
Overall, this was a great story of self discovery, developing love and being true to yourself.
