— Faking their own death was the easy part. —
After months of recovering from his injuries, Seth struggles with who he has become. Afloat in a reality he never planned, he tries to find the lost pieces of himself again. Find the purpose, motivation, and strength to get back into shape. He is sick and tired of being a burden for Domenico, who seems to have it all together. When Domenico’s jealousy pushes them into the spotlight of a biker gang with connections to their former mafia family, Seth decides to step up, and make his own decisions, no matter what risks they might entail.
Domenico Acerbi can’t trust anyone. Nightmares of Seth’s torture are still haunting his dreams, and if he and Seth are to leave the country quietly and disappear off the mafia’s radar, he needs to stay in charge and keep everyone under control. What he doesn’t need is Seth giving him attitude, keeping secrets, and distancing himself for no reason. And as if Domenico didn’t have enough on his plate already, Seth forces him to help some hooker. Being stuck in the swamp with a kid hunted by a bunch of bikers is not Domenico’s idea of laying low.

I loved this book so much! Another great addition to this series, I could not put it down once I started it. You get a lot of angst/violence with this book like the other books in the series. Can I say how much I love Seth’s character he is so sweet no matter what happens around him. Then you get Domenico who is still violent but loves Seth so much and is so protective of him. I will say I do not like Dana at all, she is so two faced and you see that a lot more with this book. Then we get introduced to a new character a teenager they help. I do not want to give too much away about him other then I felt so bad for him and I just wanted to hug him. In this book Seth is dealing with his injury’s he received in the pervious book and I just wanted to hug him too for everything he had been through. There was one part were something happened at the swamp that was shocking and the whole time it was happening I was so scared for Seth. Now I will tell you there was also some very hot scenes between Seth and Dom whew. There was a few times I had to fan myself after reading them. You could definitely feel Domenico and Seth’s love for each other through this whole book. I love them as a couple they are so perfect for each other. Every book I have read from these authors has grabbed me from the start and I am on the edge of my seat until the end. I can not wait for the next book in this series! So I will leave this review with I loved this book and I would definitely recommend this series!
Seth and Dom are back!!!! And is it exciting, I just love these two guys, their fierce, loving and downright scary. I love the addition of Mark to the story, it brings out the caring side of Dom and Seth. Then the added bonus of the Coffin Nails MC in the story, this one hit all my buttons. Awesome book!!!
The action, the love scenes, the helicopter and the Tank oh my!!! Ladies this is a remarkable series, can’t wait for more. If you haven’t read the first couple please do this is a fantastic series.
I love Dom and Seth.
At the start of this book, the former mafia hitman and The Family’s heir apparent are living a surprisingly domesticated American blue collar life.
Seth has put on weight while recovering from his injuries. Dom is keeping house and living on the American fast food he complained about for the duration of the first two books. They’ve even kinda got a child to care for- if you can count a sixteen-year-old rent boy/con-artist/runaway as a child. Add Dana, Dom’s sociopath apprentice hitwoman, and they could be any suburban American family.
But when Dom and Seth manage to annoy the local biker gang, it is only Dom’s unique skill set that can save them all.
While the authors sustain the series’ trademark combination of sex appeal, humour and action, this is quite different from the first two books. Much of the gore is missing, as is the actual mafia. Instead, Dom, Seth and the biker gang find themselves chasing human traffickers and rescuing teenage victims. They do wrestle an alligator, dump a couple of bodies and set off a series of explosives, but they are definitely growing up and they almost seem to be fighting for a good cause by the end.
The parental responsibility Dom and Seth take for Mark is comical until it becomes very sweet. The cold, detached hitman from the first book is doing an awfully good job of mentoring two people who might even be more messed up than he is.
Wounded, fat and coping without a proper kitchen, Seth’s confidence has deserted him by the start of this book. In between all the absurdly comical mishaps is the smaller, sweeter story of how Seth manages to get his confidence back and how Seth and Dom get their relationship back on track.
These books are wonderful. I think I still love the second one best, but Dom and Seth are fast becoming two of my all time favourite m/m pairings.
A fantastic book.
K. A. Merikan is the pen name for Kat and Agnes Merikan, a team of writers, who are taken for sisters with surprising regularity. Kat’s the mean sergeant and survival specialist of the duo, never hesitating to kick Agnes’s ass when she’s slacking off. Her memory works like an easy-access catalogue, which allows her to keep up with both book details and social media. Also works as the emergency GPS. Agnes is the Merikan nitpicker, usually found busy with formatting and research. Her attention tends to be scattered, and despite pushing thirty, she needs to apply makeup to buy alcohol. Self-proclaimed queen of the roads.
They love the weird and wonderful, stepping out of the box, and bending stereotypes both in life and books. When you pick up a Merikan book, there’s one thing you can be sure of – it will be full of surprises.
Inspiration never failed them so far, but they are ready to hunt down the exotic and unique. Kat and Agnes are pursuing their dream of becoming full fledged virtual nomads. Having gotten rid of their apartment and with most of their belongings put in storage, they are choosing their own path in life, ready to experience all the world has to offer while working on their books.
