On the run, with only a psychic’s second sight and his own instinct to help him, Lyle has nowhere to go but home. The only question is, will they have him when he shows up.

FiveStarsI have to say that I honestly likes this book better then the first. There is just something special about Lyle that I liked in the first book and now that the second book is primarily about him and I was able to get to know his character better, he is still my favorite.

I think that as far as Lyle is concerned, he has always felt inferior to his father the alpha of their pack. I think that he did not feel that he measured up to his father and his fathers expectations and so he was always questioning himself. That made it extremely difficult to not make the wrong choices in his life. And some of those choices including getting mixed up with a crazy vampire that played him and almost cost him everything.

But I believe that Lyle has to take all these paths to lead him to the path that was right. It led him to his future and to the one he was destined to be with all along. I also believe that if he has not taken the oath that he had he would not have realized his self worth and that he is his fathers son so therefore he is strong and capable and worthy. I also believe that by him taking the hard oath he learned some valuable lessons along the way and in return taught his father and family some also.

Very good book and I know that this is not the end. I for one cannot wait to read the next book in thee series to see how everything turns out.

4 Star Review for Wolf, WY (Wolf #1) by A.F. Henley #MM #Paranormal @LT3Press

1.5

Title: Wolf, WY (Wolf #1)
Author Name & Publisher: A.F. Henley (Less Than Three Press)
Publication Date: October 21, 2015

Synopsis

There’s nothing like a fresh start, and for Randy, still nursing wounds left by a cheating ex and harboring a deep mistrust for all things corporate, Wolf, Wyoming seems like the perfect place to start over. Secluded, quiet, and self-sufficient, Wolf is bound to not only inspire, but to bring Randy the peace he needs. The view’s not bad, either.

Vaughn O’Connell and his family are Randy’s only neighbors for miles, and while Randy knows it’s somewhat unlikely that a man with three kids is gay, it doesn’t hurt to look. When a misunderstanding brings Randy face to face with both Vaughn and his eighteen year old son, Lyle, Randy’s not sure what to feel about either of them.

But things are not what they appear in Wolf, and the closer Randy gets, the stranger the O’Connell family seems…

Review
FourStarsThis was an interesting book, I felt like I got to read this book from not only Randy’s point of view but also from the wolfs point of view on some parts.

I felt that even though Randy was not aware of the differences that he and Vaughn had that he was still drawn to him and could not shake that they was meant to be together. I also felt that even though Randy had no clue what so ever who the wolf was, he was drawn to him and knew that the wolf would not hurt him.

As far as Vaughn is concerned I felt that even though he had such an extreme pull to be with Randy he was trying to not only protect Randy but also his family at the same time and that was the reason for constantly trying to push Randy away.

Even when the truth came out about all the secrets, I don’t feel it was enough to make Randy leave for good because if he was so determined to not see Vaughn and his family again he would have sold the place instead of constantly questioning if it was the right thing to do. I think he knew that deep down that they was meant to be a family and no matter what they could get through anything.

In my opinion this book is about the fact that even though we have secrets that sometimes might be better kept as secrets, secrets have a way of coming out and if you love someone it is better to be honest about them before they find out another way and it ruins what is building between the two of you.

I enjoyed this read and cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

So with this book you get Lieutenant Lucas who is in command of his unit which is mixed with humans and werewolves.
Noah comes to his unit a true alpha which causes Lucas to insert is power.
This book was just so good!! Between the feelings these two men were slowly building for each other during the war which could not have been easy, to the way these two men were so protective of one another.
There was steam with this book along with some angst and a lot of action. I thought the way this author wrote these characters and this story was really awesome!
The moment I picked up this book I could not put it down! Now I can not wait to read the rest of the books in this series. This book and the take on shifters being in the army was such a change from anything I have read in awhile and I really did love what this author did with this story.

So all together I 100% loved this book!
I would definitely recommend this book!

I will admit this one took me awhile to get into and sometimes Armand’s over the top possessive attitude would get on my nerves. It was just a little to much sometimes but other then that I thought this book was really good.
So Seth comes running out of Alley after almost being killed. Well he runs right up to Arman’s limo and starts pounding on the door for help. Well as soon as Armand scents his mate is Seth let me say he did not let him out of his sight again after that.
You get danger in this book and steam which was really good. But I am not sure how I feel about Seth’s character after this book because the way he just accepted everything so quickly was hard for me to wrap my head around to be honest.
So all together I did like this book even though some parts were a little annoying with Armand over possessive attitude and Seth’s easy acceptance of everything. I also did really like the way this author built this shifter world in this book.

What drew me to this book was werewolves in Manhattan. I usually read about them out west in or near the forest. So the idea of werewolves in a big city like Manhattan was very intriguing.

The plot line is incredible. Reminds me of a fairy tale of the Prince falling in love with a commoner. This time, though it’s a poor homeless young man who was kicked to the curb by his father being rescued by the Alpha.

The beginning of this book was a little difficult to read because of Armond being so 19th century formal in his speech and Sean being very quick to accept everything. Once you get into the middle of the book and after the wedding then everything just falls into place. The book greatly improves, the typos and such diminishes and the plot line accelerates and becomes really great. I love the ending as there was a lot of action and suspense and you never knew what was going to happen.

I would recommend this book as long as you can stick with it and know that it will get better and ignore the editorial mistakes. The plot line is really great and you won’t be disappointed.

I enjoyed this book and also enjoyed the writing style of the author. To me the writing style can make or break a book. I really enjoyed how Randy found out about shapeshifter/werewolves and really loved his sense of humor. However, I didn’t like Vaughn, he came off pompous. I did like that Vaughn was a man that took his responsibilities seriously and it was clear that he was doing everything he could to keep his family together and under the radar. I did love Vaughn’s younger children and how they just accepted everything that came their way.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves’ shapeshifter stories.

Well while I absolutely loved the paranormal aspect to this book and the action this author wrote. I just honestly did not feel the romance between these two at all…
You get so little of them together that by the end everything between the two of them makes really no sense at all to me.
For me to believe a couple I just need to feel like they are just not being thrown together and unfortunately with these two that is what I felt.
Now you do get plenty of paranormal beings in this book.  I did honestly love that element of the book and the authors pretense of this story.
Aaron was bitten in a attack awhile ago when he then finds himself being a werewolf but what he does not know he is so much more than that.
Tony is his new partner and honestly the way he treated him at first was kind of crappy and I really do not blame Aaron for not trusting him. It was just one of those times I really wished the MC would not have forgiven so easily.
So you get your action, angst and a little bit of steam which I really liked all of that. But the feeling like everything was just thrown together between the two of them and I really did not feel any connection between Aaron and Tony knocked this book down for me.
So I am sad to say this one was just not for me…

This book was just wow!!!
Randy moves into a new house out in the woods to get away from a past were his was hurt by his fiancé.  His neighbors at first were not so nice then when they start opening up with each other… Just wow!!
So much of this I was confused was it Lyle and Randy or was it Vaughn Lyle’s father and Randy. The way Lyle came after  Randy for a lack of better words was crazy!!!
Then the way Vaughn dealt with everything… Just wow this was a whole different side to werewolves for me and I really liked this book!  I thought everything was dealt with perfectly. Of course they are the secrets and the angst between Vaughn and Randy at first but once everything really starts going it was like they were meant for each other.  My only complaint would be I wished they had more time together but otherwise you get the steamy scenes.
I really loved how much Randy cared for Vaughn’s children.  Randy came across to me a shy nervous man who was so unsure on how to act around Vaughn at first but also went out and got what he wanted.  Someone who knows when to admit he made a mistake.
Vaughn you really don’t see a whole lot of him or learn that much about him but what you do learn made me really like his character!
All together this was a really good book!
I would definitely recommend this book!

Randy and Vaughn were a complex couple of guys.  You have Randy, who is running to figure out what he really wants in life – who he wants to surround himself with. Then you have Vaughn, who is trying to hold his family together.

Randy’s character was someone that I liked right away.  He was somewhat playful, polite, no-nonsense and reasonable.  I also really loved his family.  Despite his mom’s less than graceful way of phrasing things, she was a ball buster and I liked that.  Then you have his dad, whom I absolutely loved!  He was supportive, kind, gentle and able to see who his son truly was.

The dynamic between Randy and Vaughn was somewhat contentious when the story begins and I think that helped me to like their connection even more.  It was definitely not an insta-love story – but one full of getting to the bottom of what makes the other tick.

Vaughn is trying desperately to figure out how to keep his son alive, all the while trying not to be distracted by Randy.  Despite not having the best bedside manner, I ended up really liking Vaughn’s strong silent, stern dynamic a lot.  He was loving, stern, strong and soft all wrapped in to a yummy package.

Lyle worried me for a while, but I liked how Henley was able to incorporate some of what Lyle’s story was, without letting Lyle’s issues overrun the story.  I do hope that the next story is about Lyle, because I am incredibly curious about what happened to him during his time away.

I really enjoyed this story and what it represented.  Fight for what you want – don’t let life pass you by.
