Title: Tricking Chase (Devils Pride MC #1)
Author Name: Jessie G
Publication Date: May 8, 2015

Synopsis

As Sergeant At Arms for Devils Pride MC, Tyler “Trick” Malone’s take no prisoners reputation make him one of the most feared and respected members of the club. Unbeknownst to the MC, Trick indulges his most dangerous secret, traveling out of state twice a year to trade his cut for the whip he expertly wields at a gay dungeon.

Trick’s well organized life takes a turn when he saves bar back, and terrified submissive, Chase Ward in a Georgia dungeon. With his protector and dungeon owner dead, Chase is no longer safe in the place he once called home. With the new dungeon owners circling like sharks, he desperately begs for sanctuary in the arms of his savior.

A year later, the MC is still none the wiser that Trick’s houseboy is anything more than a grateful servant. Chase knows, if the club finds out their secret, they will kill Trick—the man he’s come to rely on for everything from the food he eats to the pleasure he feels to the security he craves. Even when gratitude turns to love, Chase never expects reciprocation from his ruthless Master. After all, the only way for them to survive is if Trick remains the heartless bastard the MC knows.

Trick is positive he has it under control and having Chase around has definitely made his life easier. There doesn’t seem to be any harm in letting Chase take a part-time job at Velvet Ropes, especially after meeting privately with the owners. That is until a bomb explodes at the club, leaving Chase fighting for his life and forcing Trick to face his long hidden feelings.

Even if Chase survives, that bomb has done more than rock the foundation of the popular leather club. It’s blown Trick and Chase’s well-guarded secret out of hiding, putting their lifestyle and their lives at risk. Now there is only one thing Trick needs to do before the club gets them and that’s to get revenge on the person who dared to hurt his precious boy.

Authors Note: Tricking Chase is a direct spin-off of The Protector, which is book 3 in my Sizzling Miami series. Though I tried to provide enough details that it isn’t necessary to have read that book, I cannot really call this a standalone. Tricking Chase contains an established D/s relationship, hot guys on motorcycles, an undercover DEA agent named Snake and a few visits from fan favorite Sizzling Miami characters.

I just love Jessie G’s books. They all always blow me away. And this book being the start of the Devils Pride series and spinoff of the sizzling Miami series has lived up to the standards that I have come to expect from Jessie G.

Chase and Trick have got to be my favorite characters this far though. They have this amazing relationship in and out of bed. Trick is a Dom thru and thru and Chase is his perfect sub. It is as if these two was made for each other. Even through all of the rough patches that they go through and the drama they have to face they do it with each other. They give each other strength to make it through all of the hard things that face whether tramatic or not.

This book is much like all of Jessie G’s other books…..it is full of surprises, twists, and turns you never seen coming and I found myself constantly through the whole book cheering on Chase and Trick on and their relationship. I was routing for them to win all the obstacles that they faced and prayed that chase pulled through the harm that came his way at the hands of Tricks evil crazy sister.

I cannot wait to read book 2 in this series and see what Jessie G comes up with next. This is definitely a book that you do not want to miss out on. I could not put it down from page one all the way to the last page.

If you like a book with action, adventure, mystery, friendship, love, back stabbing, and BDSM…, this is the book for you.

Excerpt

The fact that Ty found Chase’s worry endearing was a glaring reminder that he was still thinking with his dick a year later. It was irrelevant that he warned Chase how dangerous staying with him would be. The boy had nowhere else to go and was riding high on hero worship and multiple orgasms. Not doing more to push Chase away was the only regret he had in life. Regretting it didn’t change anything he’d done after. In the end, nothing else mattered except seeing his collar around that slender neck and losing himself in Chase’s willing submission.

“Five minutes,” Ty agreed. Chase didn’t need further clarification. His boy scrambled up and Ty barely had time to brace before Chase was wrapped around him. Embracing didn’t come naturally to him, but then boldly asking for such an embrace didn’t come naturally to Chase. The boy found it comforting and maybe he enjoyed it, but he didn’t have to say so aloud. And maybe he didn’t look at the clock either, but then Chase’s OCD wouldn’t let him go too far over the requested time. And just maybe he would take the opportunity to nuzzle the collar he painstakingly crafted. Though he was used to welding bike frames, once they had reached their agreement, Ty knew exactly what kind of collar Chase would wear. One made from his own hands, with pieces of him carefully woven through. Every time he saw it resting around Chase’s neck there was such a sense of rightness that it overrode all common sense.

This book was just wow… So good! So much makes more since to me from the Sizzling Miami series now.

So Chase’s old Dom dies and leaves him alone with the Dom’s sons who are cruel to Chase. He asks Ty for help and Ty then agrees to take him on after talking with him for awhile.
Then you jump ahead a little bit and see a lot of characters from the Sizzling Miami series which I loved! They slowly build up their relationship together which I thought was perfect and I could really feel the love between these two.
The Dom and Sub relationship this author portrayed was awesome! The whole storyline with the action, angst and the steam just damn so many scenes in this book were so hot!! I thought the way everything round out was perfect. The author grabbed me from the start of this book and I ended up staying up almost all night to finish this book! Then there was the ending which I will admit I teared up while reading it because I thought it was the perfect ending for this couple.

So altogether I really loved this book!

I would definitely recommend this book!

Tricking Chase takes off after the book The Protector.   A lot of the characters from The Protector are also a big part of this book. So I do suggest you read the protector first. This can be read as a standalone but you’d get a better background.

Ty’s love for Chase carried throughout the book.  He may be a badass biker but when their alone he was always so caring for Chase.  Their relationship was amazing, they were strong for each other and left nothing come between them.

A lot of twists and turns makes this a very good suspenseful read.
The book was a little long winded.  But was worth reading, I’m looking forward to reading more in this series.

I really like how Jessie G’s series combined and flowed in to this first book.  The characters from the previous series were both prominent and necessary to create this new series.

Chase is a character that I loved in the previous series and he did not disappoint in this book either.  You get to see that the relationship between Ty and Chase is one of respect, love and compassion.  Despite his knowledge of why his partner is a biker, Chase is able to see Ty for who he is, not the persona that Ty wants people to see.

I really liked how he dove right in to solving the mystery that is Ty’s sister.  He was always willing and able to do what was necessary to who Ty what he felt about him by trying to find Alicia.

Ty was somewhat of an enigma.  Although I loved his biker persona, I also really liked his “softer” side that he only showed Chase.  Ty was admirable and wanting to do what was right in all aspects of his life.  He loved Chase so much, but was not in to heartfelt sentiments.

The story was a little long sometimes – I am not sure if it needed to be so detailed throughout.  However, despite it being a little long winded in some areas, this story gripped me from the beginning.  The characters all swirled around each other, creating this perfect maelstrom of hotness, control, danger and savior mentality.  Each character had a definite area of expertise in this story and the author did a great job of everything coming together.

Despite the ending being a little predictable, there was definitely some twists and turns that caught me off guard, which I loved.

Overall, this was a great beginning to the series.  Not sure who is going to come next, but I can be sure that I will enjoy whichever character is chosen.

Having read the books in Sizzling Miami series, I was excited to get to know more about Chase and Trick’s relationship and the Motorcycle club in general.
While I really enjoyed the book, I felt like at times it just dragged on and there were unnecessary scenes (since they were in the other books already), but since this is a standalone I can see why they were covered, although I felt they could’ve been cut down drastically and still given the desired impact.
There were still a few unforeseen twists at the very end (one that made me tear up), but for the most part if you’ve read the other series, you know what is going to happen. We already know they are going to be hunting Trick’s sister, which we don’t get closure on until the end, which had me feeling a bit like the book wasn’t all that necessary.
I think if the story had focused more on the time before ‘the situation’ came into play it would’ve been better, learned more about how Trick got Chase to warm up to him and how they created the bond they had.
The scenes between the MC were good, but I felt like if they were so bad and Trick really was so worried about Chase and his relationship being discovered, he wouldn’t have shared the way he did and then everyone’s reactions felt unrealistic.
Overall though, I think it was a good book, but it’s hard to bridge between two series since so much has to be covered, especially when the situation starts in one and is resolved in another. I’m hoping the next book in this series isn’t quite as drawn out, which I’m sure it won’t be as the other series books weren’t.

Like masculine books? Like alphas? This is the book for you. It’s hot, it’s BDSM in the best way, all pain and glory and motorcycles. I definitely loved reading it. I think it should be required reading for some of the shifter writers I’ve reviewed in the past, who confuse alpha with rape, and submissive for helpless. The relationship is very well done.
Very.
Tyler “Trick” Malone, he of the awesome name, is Dominant in life and in bedroom. He rescues Chase from a bad situation, and discovers a potential life partner. Did I mention the sex is hot?
There’s a lot of plot involving motorcyle gangs, and much of it is probably tied into the Sizzling Miami series, which I didn’t read. There are secondary chacters, all as developed as the leads, and action and angst.
My major quibble is that there’s only one female character, and she’s… spoiler. But she’s not representative. For most of my reading, though, that didn’t matter. I was awash in boys. Sometimes that’s just what I need.

FiveStarsI love this series, of course I love anything to do with bikers. Each story gets better and better.  I enjoyed how this book really got into depth regarding the kidnapping of all the women. The tension between Cade and Draven was great it added so much to the story instead of being all great between the two men.  I thought Dove was a very strong woman to have survived what she went through and still come out strong. The relationship that developed between the three I thought was amazing. They went through many struggles and still came out stronger and more closer.  But I have to say I was surprised at the twist of who was responsible for the kidnapping.  I am looking forward to reading the next book!!

At first, this book seemed much like the previous two. The girl in trouble who is rescued and falls immediately in love with her saviors, but after about a quarter of the book, things really started to change and the plot got thicker and more interesting.
I really liked watching the way thing evolved between the men who started out hating each other, but caring for the same woman. Once again there were lots of secrets and things unexpected.
The naughty scenes in this book were the best so far in my opinion. They really added in sensuality with emotions and feelings. I could do without the ‘in and out, in and out’ parts as I think ‘thrusting’ or ‘pumping’ gives enough of that.
Renee

Dove is such a strong character right from the start.  She escapes this horrible shed, wants to live.  She never gives up.  I love that about her character.
Then you have Cade and Draven.  While their relationship is far more complicated, they start to work together to solve the mystery that is, who is trafficking the women?
The sex between the three of them is scorching and while they are still trying to solve the mystery, both men are so protective.
While I guessed who the “bad guy” was early on, it did not stop me from enjoying the book.  Because I read the previous story, this one just added to the mystery and awesomeness of the series.
I would love to continue to read Carter books!

I like writing about the very ordinary girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances, so my heroines will probably never be lawyers, doctors or corporate highrollers. I try to write characters who aren’t cookie cutters and push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box. I love writing characters who are real, complex and full of flaws, heroes and heroines who find redemption through love.

I’ve been pretty fortunate in life to experience some amazing things. I’ve lived in France, traveled throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand. I am a mom to an amazing little boy. I live in Los Angeles, surrounded by friends and family. I hate washing dishes but I love cooking. I hate washing clothes but I love wearing them. Writing my bio is difficult because I never know what to say so I hope you like this one. My favorite color is red but I look best in black (it’s slimming). I hate people who don’t pick up their dog’s crap in public places, people who don’t use turn signals, and I really hate people who are rude and condescending. I especially hate discrimination in all and every form. And although I love holding a book in my hand, I absolutely adore my ereader, whom I’ve named Ruby.
