Title: Fish and Ghosts (Hellsinger #1)
Author Name & Publisher: Rhys Ford (Dreamspinner Press)
Publication Date & Length: December 30, 2013 – 240 pgs

Synopsis

When his Uncle Mortimer died and left him Hoxne Grange, the family’s Gilded Age estate, Tristan Pryce knew he wasn’t going to have an easy time of it. He was to be the second generation of Pryces to serve as a caretaker for the estate, a way station for spirits on their final steps to the afterlife. The ghosts were the simple part. He’d been seeing boo-wigglies since he was a child. No, the difficult part was his own family. Determined to establish Tristan’s insanity, his loving relatives hire Dr. Wolf Kincaid and his paranormal researchers, Hellsinger Investigations, to prove the Grange is not haunted.

Skeptic Wolf Kincaid has made it his life’s work to debunk the supernatural. After years of cons and fakes, he can’t wait to reveal the Grange’s ghostly activity is just badly leveled floorboards and a drafty old house. The Grange has more than a few surprises for him, including its prickly, reclusive owner. Tristan Pryce is much less insane and much more attractive than Wolf wants to admit and when his Hellsinger team unwittingly release a ghostly serial killer on the Grange, Wolf is torn between his skepticism and protecting the man he’d been sent to discredit.

This book was so good!
It was funny while at the same time it was spooky, kept you on the edge of your seat. I have to say I loved Wolf and Tristan’s characters. You get Wolf who goes around debunking hauntings and Tristan who is snarky but so funny. He sees ghosts and the hotel he owns is where they come when they are ready to pass on and their time is done on earth.
Well the assistants who come with Wolf to debunk the hotel as fake and Tristan as crazy end up causing a serial killer ghost to come after them.
There was so much going on with this ghost and the attraction between these two MC’s I loved it! They way the author wrote these characters had me laughing but also hoping for the best for them because you could really feel the attraction between these two from the start. You also meet different characters like Wolf’s mom and the ghost dog.

All together I loved this book!

I would definitely recommend this book!

Title: Spirit (Gothika #4)
Author Name & Publisher: Eli Easton, Jamie Fessenden, Kim Felding, & B. G. Thomas — Dreamspinner Press
Publication Date & Length: October 19, 2015 — 260 pages

Synopsis

Seeing dead people. Haunting and being haunted. Ghosts and those trying to deal with them add a supernatural flair to these four tales of romance.

In Among the Dead, Neil Gaven sees dead people. A gentle ghost guides him to Trist, who needs his help. But Trist is tormented by spirits, so maybe together they can find a way to live among the dead.

Dei Ex Machina is the story of Sabbio, a Roman slave who was killed 1700 years ago. He’s been alone until he meets landscaper Mason. But because they’re separated by centuries, it will take a miracle to make love work.

The Mill brings a supernatural challenge to Frank Carter and his team of paranormal investigators. The owner’s personal psychic, Toby Reese, is supposed to help. Frank doesn’t have much respect for psychics, but when the dangers of the old mill threaten his team, he realizes he and Toby will have to work together to survive.

Mike Ellsworth finds himself suddenly deceased. Now he’s a ghost with lots left undone in Unfinished Business. He’s never been able to be honest with his wife. He’s never been able to tell the man he loves how he feels. He’s barely been able to admit he’s gay. If only there were a way he could make up for all he’s failed to do….

The Mill by Jamie Fessenden~ Rating: 5 Stars
So I made the mistake of reading this after dark, alone and now I am seriously freaked out lol. This story was so scary at the same time so sad when you find out what really happened to these poor souls. I loved Frank and Toby together. You get your scary ghosts that go bump in the night in this story. You also meet different characters like Frank’s brother and the rest of his team plus a few other characters. So I will leave this review with I loved this story.

Dei ex Machina by Kim Fielding` Rating: 5 Stars
I thought this story was so beautiful but at the same time so painful for everything Mason and Sabbio had to go through. Mason lost someone he loved not almost a year ago when he goes on a trip with his brother and their friends. Well when he is there he meets a older lady who offers to help him say goodbye to his past love. But he ends up sensing Sabbio instead. Poor Sabbio who was a slave and died so young has fallen for Mason but knows their is no way for them to be together. Until he finds two someone’s who are willing to help. I don’t want to give anymore away. So I will leave this review of this story with this story was equal parts beautiful and painful and I loved this story!

Among the Dead by Eli Easton ~ Rating: 5 Stars
Wow talk about a twist I did not see coming at all… This story was so good! Neil was in a accident when he was hit in the head he received a concussion that was when he starts seeing dead people. He sees Edward who was also a medium when he died but he can not communicate with him. Eventually Edwards finds a way to let Neil know that a man named Trist needs his help. So Neil helps him but what happens after that I did not see coming at all! This story was just wow I have no words for how much I loved this story.

Unfinished Business by B.G. Thomas ~ Rating: 4 Stars
So I want to start this review by saying there was something in this story that is one of my no’s I just don’t like reading stories with this in it because once I find out that was going on it always brings the story down for me. So the way it was told in this story and to know it was going on while the other person just yea I cant even say without spoiling this story but I thought the author handled it perfectly.. So Mike was texting while driving which is a huge no no and was hit running a red light. Well he was ghost who could see the people he left behind and other ghosts who were dead. He helped the ghosts move on and tried to talk the ones he left behind through a detective who could hear him. The ending I thought was perfect and once I understood were the author was going with this story and the way the author handled everything that happened even though at first I almost stopped reading because of what I mentioned before I am glad I kept reading because I ended up really liking this story.

All together I thought this stories were perfect for Halloween and I loved these stories!
I would definitely recommend this book!

The spirits are back with their story this time. Stefan was mentally challenged in his real life and he was hurt by someone that caused his death.  He meets Jordan and Gideon In the spirit world. It’s entertaining how they figure out how to be a spirit and learn to live as spirits.

It’s a very entertaining and fun story of Spirits. Bailey Bradford does a great job writing this cute story.

I would suggest you definitely read these books in order to understand the whole story.

I really liked this one…
There were some things that seemed to just pop out of nowhere and some parts that really did not make a lot of sense to me but otherwise this was a good book.
Terrance and Alex are still together in this one but even stronger now..
What Terrance goes through scares Alex a lot, then he too starts seeing things that are evil spirits.  Terrance is still hearing voices and seeing ghosts but this time it is a child, later on you find out how important this child is to Terrance.
All together I really loved the paranormal aspect to this book and Terrance and Alex together… There were just some parts that were confusing to me.
I would recommend this book!

This book was a really good start to this series!
This book starts out with Billy the ghost who was hurt tragically and can’t move on because of it..
You find out there are more like Billy who can’t move on for the very same reason.  They find Terrance “AKA” Dark who can communicate with the dead and wow!!! This book was so good! Alex and Terrence  hunt down a serial killer and at the same time they are growing closer to each other.
This had the prefect amount of paranormal, angst and action.
Terence feels like he is going crazy because the ghosts and the voices come to him all the time..
Alex is trying to find his friend Wes who was takin from the club by the killer.
I do not want to go into much more and give away any spoilers..
All together I really liked this book and thought it was the perfect start to this series!
I would recommend this book!

Okay I now have a new favorite character in this series and it is Ian.
The way he came into town looking for Darren and was so protective of him from the start. You could definitely feel the sparks between these two.  Ian is looking for Darren so he can find out what happened to his brother and when you do find out it was so sad what happened to Stefan.  Darren’s character I liked a lot too.  He was sweet but caring and the beginning reserved because he was so afraid of being hurt.
Together they try to find out what happened with a little help from beyond.  As the time goes on they grow closer together and there is steam in this book also.  You also get to see a lot of the characters from past books which I loved! Have to say I love Connor the ghost too in this series.  All the pranks he plays are just too funny.
All together I loved this book!
I would definitely recommend this book!

I loved this book, all the books in the series have been good but something about this story just got to me. I love the rooster that’s been in the last couple books, just adds some humor to the story.

Darren was lost emotionally but Virginia took him under her wing and looked out for him.  Lee came to town looking for Darren he was Stefan’s  brother who was Darren’s friend.

I thought Darren and Lee falling for each other was sweet.  They made a perfect couple and fight well with each other. I love how they worked together to find what happened to Stefan.

The ending was fantastic, just like all the books so far the story gets wrapped up beautifully.  Such a wonderful series, I definitely recommend it.

I started this book liking it a lot…. Then you get to 80% and yes I know it is a paranormal and of course what is happening in this book is all made up but it goes so far I can’t even wrap my mind around it.  First as a parent there was a part that  was completely wrong and unbelievable to me.  I can’t say without giving away huge spoilers but for a parent to make that decision and think it was ok.. I just could not stretch my head around that at all.  Then you get a bunch of things put into the last part of the book that honestly I could not even figure out was happening because honestly it was so confusing and none of it even made sense to me at all.  So I want to give it 3 stars because I really did like the first 80% then everything got so confusing and the part where Terrance made a decision  I could not even.. I can’t even put into words how mad that made me, dropped this down for me.

Synopsis

Werewolves don’t have a how-to manual—nor do men embarking on a new life together.

It’s been a few weeks since Dylan Warner wolfed out and killed Andy, the crazed werewolf who originally turned him and later tried to murder Chris Nock. Architect Dylan and handyman Chris are still refurbishing Dylan’s old house as they work out the structure of their relationship. They come from very different backgrounds, and neither has had a long-term lover before, so negotiating their connections would be challenge enough even if Dylan didn’t turn into a beast once a month.

To make matters worse, Dylan’s house is haunted, and events from both men’s pasts are catching up with them. Dylan has to cope with the aftermath of killing Andy, and Chris continues to suffer the effects of a difficult childhood.

In his quest to get rid of the ghost, Dylan rekindles old friendships and faces new dangers. At the same time, Chris’s father makes a sudden reappearance, stirring up old emotions. If Dylan and Chris want to build a lasting relationship, they’ll have to meet these challenges head-on.

Another really good book in this series.
You find Dylan and Chris as a couple still renovating the house.  But this time you get a ghost that is haunting them, causing a lot of problems. Dylan also goes exploring Alex’s past were he finds some not good people.
What can I say about this book other then I loved being able to see them as a couple.  I feel like they are perfect for each and watching their love grow is so sweet.
Chris is still trying to get used to Dylan’s wolf and at the same time dealing with someone from his past who comes back wanting forgiveness.
Dylan is still a architect working at home while dealing with a ghost that is trying to tell him something, but Dylan can not figure out who it is.
This book has mystery, angst but also sweet parts too.
I really loved this book!
I would definitely recommend this book!

This is a horror story. It’s spooky and haunting, and its protagonist, Hunter Beamont, faces these terrors with panic, bravery, strength, and desparation. His journey is compelling. He’s a young man facing tremendous loss. Determined not to lose even more, he hangs onto the wrong things, unwilling to let go and hurt again. Or feel again. His journey becomes a harrowing coming-of-age story.
Rick’s tales always keep me reading right up until the end. The horror scenes are compelling, though not too scary for me, in text. If this was a movie I’d be screaming my lungs off.
There’s one scorching sex scene, but the overall romance of the book didn’t work for me. Just no chemistry. It’s something I’ve encountered in Reed’s other books. The scenario seems implausible. A Demon Inside won’t make you fall in love, but it’s an excellent thriller.

ThreeandHalfStars

I had really high hopes for this story because I love ghost stories. However, it fell a bit flat for me, probably because it was focused a bit more on the romance than I was expecting, which shouldn’t surprise me actually.

This story takes us from the beginning of a relationship or friendship to the end, which is always beautiful to see. I loved see all different aspects of Rose and Elise. However, I had a lot of issues with the transitioning between the timeline. It was abrupt and awkward for me. I kept thinking I would get used to it, but I just couldn’t and it made me stop and start and have to rethink a lot about what was going on in the story as a whole.

This was a good short story aside from that and lack of explanation to how Elise did things. It was a quick read that took me maybe an hour to complete. And honestly, the Megan’s bio could really be my bio. Kansans unite!
