Book six has to be the best thus far.

Rainey is the new detective in town so he is not the most established with such a tight knit group of people and to be thrown into an investigation around the murder of gays and addicts does not make his newness any better. He has not earned the trust of his team yet but as time goes on they realize that he is good at his job and takes it seriously. Almost so much so that he gets close to ruining the other important part of his life with Josh his long term partner.

Rainey and Josh have a strong relationship when Rainey moves to the KCPD and even though they have a few issues they become a stronger couple as the book goes on. The love they share is the true kind of love and it is hot inside of and outside of the bedroom.

Another great read.

I enjoyed reading about the 3 separate couples coming to the island to live out their fantasies. The book also highlights the 3 owners of the island, James, Guard and Damien. I’m a huge fan of BDSM and this

We read about Benji, the picture perfect model obsessed with body modifications, but too afraid to step foot into a tattoo/body piercing studio on his own. And Thor the badass Dom who’s looking for a full-time submissive, who happens to know a thing or two about tattoos and body piercings since he his own studio.

Then we come to Alan and Roman. Alan wants nothing more than to please his Master, Roman. So when Roman asks Alan to sub for other Doms who specialize in certain activities that Roman isn’t comfortable doing, Alan is only too eager to please. Only Alan isn’t prepared for the instant attraction he has to one of the Dom’s and it scares him so much he’s unable to finish the scene.

Finally, we have Quinn and Pierce. Quinn is afraid if Pierce finds out about his medical fetishes he won’t love him anymore. He wants to experience them on the island in the hopes of putting them in his past and leaving them there. What he isn’t prepared for, is for Pierce to be the one who was brought to the island to allow all the fantasies to come true. When Pierce discovers Quinn’s desires, it brings about a whole new set of desires from Pierce that both men are anxious to experience.

I can’t say that I’ve ever read any of Sean Michael’s books before so I’m very excited to read the next book in this series. I’m anxious to find out the conclusion between James, Guard and Damien. The author gives the reader snippets into the men’s past that has left James in a wheelchair and his 2 lover laden with guilt.

I have to say that I was complete surprised by just go much I really enjoyed this book. I knew that it would be an erotic book but I love that each of the three fantasies had a story line behind them and each story line was different from the last.

If I had to choose whose was my favorite it would have been Benji and Thor. I enjoyed the other two couples fantasies but Benji and Thor did not know one another before hand and they just clicked from the start. It was like they had always been together and because of the ability to have this fantasy two people came together and fell head over heals for each other.

But what I liked the most about this book was the story line behind Damien, Guard and James. You can tell there is a lot of hurt, guilt, love, passion, and pain between these three men and I cannot wait to see what exactly comes of the three of them in the next book in this series.

I have to say that Sean Michael did an amazing job on this book and has me on edge when it comes to reading the next book.

This book was great, but I’ve come to expect no less from Sean Michael. He writes primarily BDSM books (although he has written other types of books) but I do love his BDSM books. This book will definitely give you several different types of kink. I love how this author is able to eloquently write three total different types of stories of fantasy and combine it into one book. This book seems to have everything in it, from sweet to giving me my BDSM kinks. I have always loved Sean Michael’s writing style and in this book I was able to just read and enjoy and know that I was getting a great quality read. I don’t usually talk about the actual story as I like to review the author instead but I have to say that I can’t wait to read the second installment as I really need to find out the whole story between Guard, Damian and James. Overall this was another excellent story from an author I love to read as I can get my BDSM fix and still read about love.

FourandHalfStars

Let me start this review by saying that I enjoy Sean Michael’s books.  This was no exception.

I think that it lost 1/2 a star from me because we only were really given the three wishes, but at the beginning of the story, there was so much more hinted at.  Without more details or a resolution, I felt that this was a very incomplete story – and, yes, while I understand that this is going to be a series, I was still wishing to have more background information on James, Guard and Damien.

First wish:  Thor and Benji. These two were very opposite – personality wise, build wise and temperament.  However, because this fantasy was one of Benji wanting to be dominated, it worked well enough.  I thought that Michael did an amazing job at describing the artwork, as well as the emotions that Benji was going through.  I could really see their story unfolding.

Second wish:  Alan and Roman.  This was my least favorite of them all.  I thought that the premise was very intriguing, however, the delivery was less than stellar.  I didn’t really think there was a conflict, per say in this scenario.  It seemed that both parties wanted it to be exhibitionism and that this was the most tame of the wishes that the island provided.  I also didn’t really like how I was left feeling that this wish was somehow truncated – did they end up with a deeper connection?  Or just learn to avoid Alan being attracted?  This fantasy was not super successful for me.

Third wish:  Quinn and Pierce.  This was a great fantasy that developed from an existing desire.  I think that it was fairly successful because once you know their background, why they are there, everything seems to fall in to place.  And, while they are still learning how to cope with desires and reality, you get to join them on their adventure.  I liked the dynamic between these two characters a lot and felt that they had a great connection both while in scene and out of it.  They had the most communication regarding their relationship and it felt that they were truly able to grow while living out their fantasy.

Overall, I liked this book.  It was a quick read and even though I was disappointed that we were not given more on the main characters, I am hopeful that we will be given more in time.

So many things to like in this book. The sex scenes were hot. H. O. T. The kink was good, integrated within the story, integral to the plot, but not overwhelming. The emotions of all three characters made the relationship between them all. No, they don’t expect everything to be roses all the time. They expect problems and issues, but they all have a desire to work through them. A realistic viewpoint. The serial killer case upped the tension and anticipation, knowing that something was going to happen. I would say, though, that it was difficult swinging between the two extremes of the plot. The romance/erotica/relationship story had such a different feel from the police procedural/murder mystery/cop thriller, and sometimes the transition between the two was difficult to traverse. Both storylines were good, both kept my attention, but they evoked very different reactions, and I’m not sure those went together as well. Also, there was a lot of foreshadowing, enough that I felt confident in who the perp was, and how things would come to a head. That didn’t lessen my enjoyment at all. I liked the emphasis on the feelings of Julia, Garrison, and Keaton, and how they all worked through honest communication to get to a place where everybody was happy with the relationship. All in all, this was a very enjoyable read.

What did I just read? Brilliance is what that was! Plus look at that cover…oh freaking my, sexy, sexy. This story had a little bit of everything that crosses of the must have list. It had the suspense, it had the D/s, it had the love and emotions. It didn’t have that insta-love and fairytales, which for me is all the better. Garrison and Julia have amazing marriage and understand, trust, respect each other to help the other with what they need in life. The characters had to work for the relationship, yet the relationship felt real not forced or fake. I liked that Julia and Garrison knew Keaton in their own unique ways. It helps to show that the deep connection that was there and why the emotions bloomed so well. They felt real with real issues and fears, like they were your neighbors. Garrison and Julia may have been a strong couple, but with the addition of Keaton, the three are a powerhouse throuple and so dang sexy too, mmhmm.
The flow was smooth; the storyline was coherent. I enjoyed having the 3 POVs, so I could get to know each one and I did. Garrison was my favorite, he cracked me up, yet his love for his wife to let her do what she needs is amazing. Once I started reading, I could not set this book down.

I love Orman books.  This one did not disappoint.  The characters are well developed and the story flows easily.
Julia, Garrison and Keaton are all living their lives – doing what they love and trying to figure out how to be happy.
I love that Julia is both Domme and sub.  I think that it gives her a unique experience and with her skills, she is able to fulfill many desires.  I also really like that she keeps her client’s secret, even from Garrison.  I think that it makes her situation throughout the story much more real.  When she is faced with a situation, she handles herself with grace and strength.
Then you have Garrison, who is working hard to figure out who is hurting Domme’s in his town.  Not only does he not really have a clue who is doing this, but he has to figure out his feelings for DA Keaton.  While he loves his wife, he also knows that he enjoys being with men too.  Julia knows and accepts this about him, so he just needs to figure out if Keaton should be with them as a couple, him alone or not at all.
Finally, you have Keaton.  I loved his character.  He was strong, brave and unafraid of what he desires.  He knows that his lifestyle could put him in the hot seat, so he’s thankful that he found someone who will keep his secret.  When he figures out how everything is connected, he has to make the decision to leap and hope that nothing bad will happen.
The three of them have OK chemistry, but I do wish that we would have seen them more on a one and one basis.  I felt like we heard all about their relationship, but didn’t really get to see it develop.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story.  It had great chemistry and the mystery was intriguing.

Rachael Orman you completely and totally blew me away. I have not read any of Rachael Orman’s previous books but I can guarantee you that I will be doing so now. This is a book that is full of lust, respect, dommes, submissives, dominates, love, cravings, mystery, murder, BDSM, and so much more. What more can a girl ask for? Oh yeah I know, male/male/female relations. But guess what, it has that too.

This is one of those books that when you start reading it sucks you in immediately and does not let go till the very end and even then you are left wishing you had not finished the book yet because you want more. It is one of those books that even when it ismidnight you do not want to put the book down because you have to know what is going to happen next.

Garrison and Julia are happily married and if push came to shove, they are not missing anything in their relationship. They are truly a couple that most would love to base their own relationship off of but Julia is submissive to Garrison but is a Domme to others in her part time line of work. Garrison is also bisexual but they have never let those two things come between them. I honestly do not think that they ever would have either. But both of them being attracted to Keaton was a plus in their marriage because both was able to get to explore parts of themselves that they normally would not have.

In my opinion, it was inevitable for the three of these people to end up together. They each complimented one another in ways that made them all better people and happier in their lives. It is as if in my opinion, that they are made for one another. The three of them together is better all together then they ever could be apart.

With the murders happening around them, it throws an extra spin into the book that made it even more captivating. I really enjoyed reading this book so much and I cannot wait to read more books by Rachael Orman. She is a spectacular author and this book is proof of that. Amazing job!!!!

THREE 5 Stars, 4.5 Stars and 3 Stars for Live for Love (All Cocks #5) by T. M. Smith @TTCBooksandMore #MM #Erotic #Romance

30346839

Title: Live for Love (All Cocks #5)
Author Name & Publisher: T. M. Smith (TTC Publishing)
Publication Date & Length: July 1, 2016 – 200 Pages

Synopsis

Beauregard Boudreaux is a native of New Orleans Louisiana, born and raised there, he never thought he would ever stray far from home. The untimely death of his first love left Beau lost, adrift, looking for a place as far away from the pain as possible. Initially, he came to New York to visit a friend, the city growing on him, so he decided to stay. His law degree comes in handy at the LGBT Center he runs, but his bar is his baby.

William Richards grew up in Chicago, his family oddly normal and very accepting of his sexuality. Modeling paid the bills, gigs across the country as a model, male entertainer and a personal trainer giving him the opportunity to see the world. He hasn’t experienced loss or pain as Beau has, the common denominator between them is the loneliness. As All Cocks big, brooding bottom Connor, William has found friendship, family and an outlet for his craving to be more submissive than men of his size and stature usually are.

The two men are perfect for each other, their tastes and lives align and the writing seems to be on the wall. But Beau has a secret he shares with a choice few, a secret that not only threatens to keep them apart, it’s deadly. Determined to keep a wall between himself and William, Beau fights the attraction, pushes William away every time he steps closer. Can one man’s determination and strength be enough to tear down a wall that holds back decades of pain and darkness? And if he can, will either of them survive the flood?

Disclaimer: This book is the fictional story of a man living with HIV. I have put a lot of time and effort into presenting this story as true to fact as possible, without going into gory or gruesome detail. If this subject is a trigger for you, you may want to skip this read. But my hope is that you give Beau a chance to capture your heart as he has mine, and William’s.

I love this series and this book enforced my love for it. Beau lost the love of his life 15 years ago, hasn’t been with anyone since and he has a good reason. William is one of the All Cocks members and has wanted Beau for a while and has set his sights on him. These two are perfect for each other, they seem to balance each other out, calm each other and bring peace to each other. After finally wearing Beau down, William and Beau are together, but not fully, not until Beau tells him everything and once he does, he may lose William for good. This story handles a very delicate situation very well, kudos to the author. The book also shows the strength of friendship and love and how you can make it through anything with love, friendship and family. Great story and even better love story. I can’t wait to see who the next story is about.

FiveStars

This is the first book I’ve read from the All Cocks series. Although I was a bit lost in some areas, I was still able to understand most of the back stories. I received a free copy of this book from Inked Rainbow Reviews in exchange for an honest review.

The fact the author took the time to do all the research to make this story come to life is amazing. Beau and William’s story is wonderful. Everyone deserves a chance at true love, no matter what his or her medical situation may be.

Beau’s life with HIV begins when his lover Isaiah is infected. “Izzie” became a drug abuser while Beau was getting his law degree. By the time they realized Izzie was sick with AIDS, it was too late for Beau. Beau spends 2 years watching while Izzie slowly dies. Taking a little bit of Beau with him when he goes.

After months of William chasing Beau, William has finally been able to break through the barrier Beau has kept up around him all this time. William could never figure out why there was sadness in Beau’s eyes. Determined to have Beau all to himself, William is relentless in his pursuit. Finally, Beau realizes he has fallen in love with William and reveals why he never let William get too close. When William knows the truth he becomes the most supportive partner Beau could ask for.

Kris

ThreeStar

Grrr.  I was never a fan of Mr. Rochester and I’ve disliked brusque, broody (read miserable) leading men ever since.  In this story, Beau remains miserable right up to the moment the story becomes a safe sex infomercial instead of a romance.

I was never quite sure why William, a young, famous porn star, continued to chase after Beau.  William’s appeal was clear but aside from Beau’s philanthropic projects, I really didn’t get the attraction.  I’m also getting tired of books starring porn stars where the porn star is expected to choose between his job and his relationship for a HEA.  It is a tired, heteronormative and fairly judgemental trope that I just don’t want to see ever again.

And then the sex.  HIV is an important topic, especially in m/m romance, but I’ve seen it handled much better.  Once these two finally hook up, readers are treated to a series of sex ed lessons worthy of a moralising Victorian narrator.  It kinda ruined the chemistry for me.

I enjoyed catching up with characters from earlier stories in the series, but this story just didn’t work for me.  In a book that is part of a series called “All Cocks” that focuses on the relationships of porn stars, I may not expect brilliant characterisation or plot development, but I do expect the sex to be hot.  And for me, this just didn’t work.

Sarah

FiveStars

This is a book I would describe as love getting a second chance.

Beau in my opinion has written himself off as being alone for the rest of his life. He is HIV positive and he knows first hand what it does to someone to lose the love of ur life to someone to this disease and so he does not want to do that someone in turn, but life has a crazy way of taking what you plan and throwing a big kink into it. That happened to Beau in the form of William.

I think these two men are perfect for one another. William is scared of the disease that Beau has but he is not about to walk away from him because of it. Instead he embrace it and learns what to do to prevent getting the same disease and loves Beau whole heartedly regardless of what the future may hold.

These two men are a shining example in my opinion of what love should be about. Yes it is scared when one of you may become ill and die because of a sickness but it should not define you as a couple and it should not prevent you from loving someone because of it.

I commend TM smith for writing a book about this subject because most would not. Most would want it to be fairytale sand happily ever after and not a book about reality but I think that TM Smith did a phenomenal job on this book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and also being taught more about this subject. I can’t wait till the next book in the series. Great work.!!!!

Tosha

This book was excellent and it was clear that the author did their homework and it felt very real. It was very refreshing to read a book with a HIV positive MC that didn’t have a lot of angst in it. This book was clearly done with care and understanding. I was honored to meet Beau and to see the relationship that developed him and William.

The author writing style was very good and made it an easy read. As I began to read I was able to really get to know Beau and William and I don’t mean just figuratively. This was an author that was able to bring his characters to life. We got to see the struggle that Beau was going through in trying to tell William of his status. But most of all we got to see the love that William was able to shower Beau with. This was an excellent book that just held me captive from beginning to end and was extremely satisfied to see the Beau and William was able to overcome all of the hurdles of building a relationship and get their HEA.

Description:

What do you do when nobody wants you…..?

Harry was tired of being used, abused and taken for granted by men. Surely he deserved better than to be cast out like last night’s leftovers?
All his life he’d been treated like that. When he’d come out to his parents about being gay, they’d reacted by throwing him out, not wanting to acknowledge a homosexual son. They even went so far as to pay him a monthly allowance to keep him out of their lives.
What was wrong with him? Why didn’t anyone want him?
One night at the club after being dumped by his boyfriend, he thought he might find the answer in the bottom of his wine glass, or at the very least, drown his sorrows in it.

They say when one door closes another opens or something like that…….

Enter Louis; tall, handsome, confident and sexy. Louis makes Harry feel like he’s never felt before. He also makes him want to break all his own rules, deciding a one night stand with this stunning man is a good way to get over a broken heart or distract him from it at least.
The attraction between them is instant, their passion intense and Harry realises every sexual encounter he’s ever had is insignificant in comparison to how Louis makes him feel.
Louis is older, wiser, so much more experienced than Harry. He also has a wild past, a past Harry can only imagine.
The emotions he feels around Louis both give him strength and bring out his insecurities. He can’t think around him, so powerful is the hold this man has over him.
Maybe he should listen to the advice of his best friend Nora and stop over thinking things. Advice that sounds great in theory, but….

That might have worked until Harry discovers Louis is keeping secrets from him; secrets that will drive them apart if Louis can’t open up to him.
When the truth finally comes out, Harry is left reeling. He’s also left with an important decision. Cut Louis from his life and have his heart broken or stay with him and help him face all that troubles him, knowing that in the end, everything that matters to him may be lost.

WARNING:::::::::: do not read if you do not like a book that will have you emtionally invested in it. This definitely one of those books.

I found myself in such an emotional state reading this book. And it was not just one emotion either it was several different ones. I found myself laughing at Nora and Harry and their bickering back and forth. I wanted to strangle Louis for being so dang hard headed. I cried for both Louis and Harry for the medical and emotional turmoil they was going through. And I found that feared that Harry was going to lose Louis on a few different occasions.

This book completely engrossed me and wrapped itself around me until I felt like I was part of this book.

Louis and Harry both made fall in love with them. Their characters was just spit in for this book and they made each other while on so many different levels.

This is definitely a book that I recommend others to read and dare them to say that it did not affect them. J.A. Melville did a superb job and should definitely be proud of this book.

Tosha

FourStars

This was quite the story.  Not only was it emotional, I became engrossed in the mystery that was Louis.  While I will admit that I thought the story began quite slowly, I stuck with it and am so glad that I did.

At first, I was very wary of Louis.  He seemed so flighty – almost like he was looking to just hook up with Harry rather than pursue something real.  Because he was so mysterious about his health, job and where he was jetting off to at random times, I began to really dislike Louis.

Harry was just an all around sweet guy.  I really enjoyed his life and reading about his friend, Nora.  She was a great secondary character and I loved her business!  Harry was almost too forgiving, in my opinion.  He was understanding but also was able to learn to stand up for himself.

This book was a great read that was emotionally charged.  I had a few issues with little things in the story, but not so much that it detracted from my enjoyment.

This is a short story about the impossible becoming impossible. Calliph and Mateo are soul mates but the impossible has not aloud them to have no more then passing moments in time.

Calliph is a slave and because of this he is unable to have the three things he wants the most…. Freedom to live his life, freedom to shift into his wolf form, and freedom to be with Mateo. Even though he truly wants to be with the love of his life each time something happens that allows him the opportunity to find his love, something else interferes and stops him from doing just that. Calliph is such a strong individual because even with his heart wanting one thing he sacrificed his own wants, needs, and heart desire to help another. It takes a strong person to do that.

Mateo also sacrificed his hearts desire for what calliph needed to do because he loves him so much. In the length of time they was apart Mateo showed just how strong and how strong his love for Calliph truely was by making it through the to rude he indured at the Pirates hands and he fought his way back to his soul mate.

This is a book that shows that yes we may be fated to someone but when fate is in the picture, it also has to be the right time for it to work. These two men was dated to one another but when they first met it was not their time, but when it was, it was what they both needed.

Imprisoned and tortured, undercover cop Tate Williams will find redemption in the arms of his boyhood friend, now lover, former SAS soldier Clay Mortimer.
TWO MEN.
TORN. TORTURED. LOVED.
Though they went their separate ways, Tate Williams and Clay Mortimer have been crazy about each other since their school days. Clay went into the SAS. Tate became a cop. Neither mentioned their attraction to the other. Both sought out danger. Both found it.
Imprisoned and shot in an undercover assignment gone wrong, Tate somehow survived…and found his way back into Clay’s arms. His old friend is now the owner of an elite investigation agency and everything any man could want: patient, handsome, commanding. And Clay knows what it takes to survive. But Tate can’t bring himself to share all his secrets, nightmares that force him to rebel against everything. He finds solace from his past as a graffiti artist, a childhood passion, but his demons drive away all who might care for him. Only when he faces that past—and learns that everyone has tasted despair—can the two men truly be brothers-in-arms…and more.

FiveStars

This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I love this series and I loved this book. Clay owns his own PI business, Tate was an undercover cop until his last assignment almost killed him. These two men were friends and then after Tates ordeal they became more. Tate was tortured and left for dead on the side of the road, he still has flashbacks and nightmares. Clay wants nothing more than to have a life with Tate. Their love story is hot and fierce, the sex is amazingly hot and you can feel the love and passion. These two have their ups and downs and I found myself crying because I felt their emotions and pain. When Clay finds out that Tate didn’t tell him everything the crap hits the fan. These two have so much to work on and so much to get through at times you don’t think their going to make it. This was a great story and I enjoyed it when we got to briefly see the characters from previous books in the series.

ThreeandHalfStars

There have been a number of military/paramilitary m/m series released recently.  The attraction is obvious.  Two highly trained alpha men in great shape with dark pasts?  Perfect.  But while this story contains most of the elements I love in an action-packed m/m, it just didn’t grip me as similar stories have.

I did love Tate.  Rebuilding his life after being tortured in the line of duty, he is a beautiful, troubled character.  His relationship with Jax and the Castaways children is very sweet.  I wanted to love Clay, but I don’t feel I ever get to really know him.  His paramilitary group is never really explained to readers.  I wanted to know about his team and his cases but MacNichol only ever gives us snippets of Clay’s life.

Both Clay and Tate lacked the personality quirks that made me fall in love with Abigail Roux’s Ty and Zane, AE Via’s God and Day or Xavier Mayne’s Brandt and Donnelly.  Their interactions as a couple are sexy, but lack the warmth, personality and humour I need to really believe in a relationship.

Deeply earnest couples’ therapy isn’t terribly sexy and neither are Tate’s tantrums.  Clay’s role as the old man in the relationship was slightly odd.  He’s a 36 year-old field agent in his prime.  And for someone who had a career as an undercover detective, Tate reads as much younger than he could possibly be.

This book pushes the boundary between erotica and romance because most of the relationship building happens in the bedroom.  The sex is pretty vanilla, but it’s hot and frequent.

The action sequences didn’t work for me at all.  At one point Tate and Clay are involved in a car chase because of one of Clay’s cases.  Readers don’t know much about the case, don’t know who is chasing them or why.  In the UK, where even cops on active duty don’t carry guns routinely, the men engage in a deadly shootout on a motorway and are allowed to go home without much questioning.  Really?

Once again, Susan MacNichol sets her book in London but litters her writing with Americanisms.  Little things began to irk me.  A small British child would eat strawberry laces, not a string of liquorice!

Excerpt

Tate needed no further urging. He lifted himself up, trying to ignore the pain in his battered body, and stared down at the man who half sat, half lay beneath him. Clay’s face was twisted in lust and want, and his cock jutted proudly from the thatch of dark curls at his groin. Tate bit his lip and then lowered himself down onto the hot, slick and eager dick waiting for him.

Clay’s deep gasp of satisfaction made his hole throb, as did the burn of Clay in his arse. Tate spread his legs to take Clay deeper then began to slowly move above him, his hips undulating and his inner muscles tightening around Clay’s cock.

The feeling of power he got from watching his lover slowly lose it was like nothing else. That Tate could take such control of this man he loved, that he could watch his self-control unravel like a skein of wool—that was something for a man to be proud of.

As Tate rose and fell, his hands resting behind him on Clay’s strong thighs, Clay’s cock sliding in and out of him, he revelled in the primal urge to be impaled and fucked to destruction. He was flying so high, the bruised ribs and plastered-up shoulder were of no consequence.

Huh. Sexual endorphins make for great painkillers.
