Synopsis

Eli is an ancient vampire with an ego the size of a planet and a sex drive to match, but his tumultuous past left him broken, so he hides from humanity and cowers from love, left to endure the crushing guilt that haunts his every waking moment. Even his best friend Malachi, a ghost who is hopelessly in love with Eli, remains unaware of all that transpired in London. Malachi can never know the truth.

When the Angel Daniyyel pays an unwelcome visit, Eli must face his secrets, secrets that he has tried so long to hide. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. The title is the worst thing about this book. I mean, I get it, it’s about an effeminate gay ghost who’s “campy.” And Dead. But the book is so much more.
Brooding, broken Eli is a sarcastic but lovable homosexual vampire obsessed with sex and afraid of his own capacity for violence. His best friend is Malachi the ghost. They are both hiding from their past, quite literally in a castle in the middle of the woods.
Surrounded by Nazis.
Seriously, this book is the best. It’s a great pleasure to read. There’s a lot of sex, obviously. And a lot of gore. Eli is not a sparkly vampire, he is an ancient evil. And I’m obsessed with him.

Excerpt

Three prisoners had died in my block that night, two elderly and one young man not old enough to grow pubes. It sickened me. Never, in all my years, had I witnessed such a callous waste of human life. And then to see my fellow prisoners undressing the dead, striping their cold stiff bodies before my unbelieving eyes horrified me even more, and I clung onto Jakob’s broken body for dear life. All around me the clunk of bodies against wood and concrete. My eyes tried not to see and my ears tried not to hear.

A cold clammy hand gently caressed my arm and I nearly shot off my shelf in shock. I didn’t scream. I refused to scream.

“My friend, I’m sorry, my friend, but you must undress him. The rubbish men will be here soon and you must strip him of all clothing before they take him. Please, you must do this for him—they will be less kind than you. Do you understand?”

“Why? Why must we do this?”

“His clothes are of value, my friend. They will be re-used for the next intake.”

“And what of his body, what will become of Jakob?”

“You don’t want to know, my friend.” His whispered words made every hair on my body stand on end. A sound outside caused him to return to his unsavoury task with renewed urgency. “Quickly, they are here.”

What followed felt like a dream. I had undressed many a man under many circumstances, but that was a first. Already poor Jakob stiffened, and it pained me to hear and feel his bones crack as I gently prised his pale thin body from the clothes. I whispered my apologies into his unhearing ears and I hated my eyes for glancing across his pale dead flesh.

I had to free them, all of them. That place, that death camp, it had to end.

I lifted his dead naked body into my arms. Emotion, so alien to me, invaded the shrivelled blackness that was my soul, and I knew my eyes betrayed my grief.

Emotions made you weak. Emotions made you vulnerable, emotions hurt. And I was hurting. The passing of that human, that mortal man I had known for less than a day, had brought back that affliction from which I had been running from for so very long.

I had only opened my heart to the world again but for the briefest of moments.

And already I felt pain.

Gideon hurt me. He made me feel unloved, unwanted, he made me feel ugly.

How I would crave for his touch, how desperate I was for his love, to feel the thrill of his fingers upon my bare flesh, to feel his attraction to me, to feel wanted. But all he ever did was refuse me. Every time I tried to touch him, he turned me away. He was not in the mood, he told me to come back later.

Come back later.

But later never came.

I carried that pale body into the grey wet misery of morning. The sun was trying desperately to penetrate the thick layers of brooding clouds that clung stubbornly over the camp, but the sun was losing. Rain dripped incessantly from the skies, melting the remaining snow into a muddy slush. Grey skies, grey ground, grey people. The camp drained the colour out of everything. Welwelsburg was like me, a vampire, sucking the life out of everything it encountered, sucking away hope and dignity, leaving nothing but pale grey husks clinging to the brink of existence.

Two men stood next to a large flatbed trolley. Dead, naked bodies lay crumpled in a pile on top of the trolley, legs and arms sticking out at all angles like some grotesque starfish. I saw children amongst the corpses.

Pale white flickering figures surrounded the trolley. Insubstantial wisps of lives spent before their time. The rubbish men looked at me expectantly but I could not move for the sight of those spectral beings and I clutched Jakob’s dead body tightly to my chest, unwilling to relinquish my charge. If I put him on that trolley then he would be dead, another lump of cold meat on the pile. He deserved more than that.

The ghostly figures turned to look at me, each one knowing me, seeing me, seeing me see them. And they smiled at me. Cold shivering prickles erupted across my skin as their eyes took me in and they were such kind eyes, such trusting eyes. A figure pushed its way between them, its shadowy form brushing gently against the others as it came to stand before me.

Oh wow!! This book was so good.
Raze who is a Seminus demon who feeds off sex can not feed of a male, but he is gay so he is very lonely and not able to be with who he wants. He is also a medic for underworld general.
Then you get Slake who just wow when you find out his secret I just was stunned.. I would never had thought of it. What a twist I mean I am still sitting her stunned and I already finished the book lol.
Originally Slake is only at thirst to do a job but once he lays eyes on Raze everything changes and the sparks fly between these two.
There is a lot of action and a whole lot of steamy scenes..
These two together were just awesome!

I loved this book!

I would definitely recommend this book!

Ooooh.. I really enjoyed this story. It was such a great read!!!
I loved the author was able to world build without making it heavy and distracting, but just part of a well written story.
I haven’t read any story like this one before, but I really loved the chemistry of the men and the story. The whole succubus/need for sex part was great along with the other twists that are thrown in along the way.
It’s hard to write a review for this book without giving away much of what goes on so I just have to say what a great book it was with a very good plot.

This book was such a awesome addition to this series!

You get a lot more of Tristen, Mac and Alastor together in this book. The author grabbed me from the start of this book and I could not put it down. So much happens in this book for all three of these men it was just amazing that they were able to hold everything together so well and I honestly felt after everything they went through they seemed so much stronger as a ménage then they did in previous books.
Tristen is in hell as the Demon King in this book were Mac can not get to him only Alastor can visit him there. He is miserable because he does not want to be there at all. Then someone tries to kill Tristen when Alastor steps in just wow!! Everything that happens after that was so hard for this three at first but the way everything works out eventually for all of them was just so beautiful. The ending of this book was just so sweet and I was honestly so happy for them!
You get your angst and action plus lets not forgot the steam which like the previous books in this series was just so hot!

All together I really loved this book and this series!

I would definitely recommend this series!

4 Stars for Between Good & Evil (Heavenly Sins #2) by L.M. Brown #MM #Paranormal @PridePublishing

1.5

Title: Between Good & Evil (Heavenly Sins #2)
Author Name & Publisher: L.M. Brown (Pride Publishing)
Publication Date & Length: November 27, 2014 – 220 pgs

Synopsis

Is it possible for a demon to be a good man, or are all who have fallen for temptation evil at the core?

Tristan, Machidiel, and Alastor are bound together by love, but their lives are running far from smoothly. Thanks to Tristan’s demonic bargain with an incubus they have no choice other than to accept that their lives are never going to be the same again.

To fulfil his obligations to the demon Tristan has two choices, remain with the incubus as his trainee or find a mortal to take his place. Neither option is appealing.

The three lovers struggle to release Tristan from his bargain, only to find bigger problems on the horizon when a human caught up in the mess is taken prisoner by the Demon King himself.

With no help forthcoming from either the angels or the demons, the three lovers are on their own with a seemingly impossible mission before them— rescue the mortal before he is lost in the Underworld forever.

Mac meanwhile has problems of his own. The archangels are voting on whether to ban relationships between angels and demons, and if the new law is passed he must choose between his wings and his lovers.

The three of them believe their love is strong enough to see them through the hard times ahead, but if they aren’t careful the repercussions of Tristan’s bargain could tear their ménage apart forever.

Reader Advisory: This book contains multiple male ménage.

While I did really like this book I had a hard time getting into this one until about half way through. I am not really sure why it just did not grab me at first. But once I reached that point I could not put it down.
You still get a lot of Tristen, Mac and Alastor which I loved! But there was also a part of this book with something Alastor had down to Tristen in a past life, that I am not sure I really understood why he did it and why Tristen forgave him so easily. So that left me scratching my head confused.
You get a lot of action and angst in this book, also the steam was of the charts hot in this book too between these three.
Something happens with a human Tristen had picked up while he was training with Lawrence which I still am not a fan of that guy. So that causes a whole chain of events that leads to a ending that just wow! I did not see that coming at all.
So all together the beginning of this book I had a hard time getting into but once I got a little farther in the story grabbed me and I really loved the rest of this book!
I would recommend this book!

This book was so damn hot!

You get a angel named Mac and a demon named Alastor and a human named Tristen mix that all together and the steam in this book was off the charts hot!
The way they all worked together and made sure none of the tree of them felt left out at all. When Tristen goes through what happens to him at the end of this book I just loved how Mac and Alastor were there for him through it all.
You get your angst with this as well as the sweet and the steam!
You also get your bad guy which excuse my language but Lawrence was a ass! I mean seriously everything he did to Tristen was just ugh! I really do not like Lawrence at all.
I loved the authors pretense of this story. L.M. Brown had be grabbed from the beginning of this book and I could not put it down. This ménage between these three men was so good!

All together I loved this book and thought it was a awesome start to this series!

I would definitely recommend this book!

Diagnosis: Wolf by Poppy Dennison ~ Rating: 4 Stars
While I really liked this story there were some small parts to it that I was not a fan of to honest. I loved the whole feeling I got from this like I was watching a horror movie.  I love horror movies and some parts of this book were so gory.  I mean damn don’t mess with Caleb or he will rib your throat out.  Now while I liked Andrew’s character he at the same time also annoyed me.  Just some of the things he did were so annoying, I can’t really explain why…  So honestly those parts I was not a huge fan of.  Otherwise I really loved this book!  Caleb’s whole your mine protectiveness right from the start I loved of course.  Then the way they were together you could really feel their connection to each other.
Landslide by Mary Calmes~ Rating 5 stars
Wow!!!! I just don’t have words for how much I loved this story.  My only complaint would be I wish it had been longer because I did not want to stop reading about these two.  Frank is a courier for the demon Cael who also happens to be his mate.  The sparks between these two from the start were awesome!  Their back and forth which each other and when you find out what Frank was really waiting for it was hilarious.  Cael was protective of his mate Frank even though he had not yet claimed him.  Cael was there when he had to talk to his parents for his sister which honestly I did not like Franks family at all. They were so cruel to him.  Then when Frank gets kidnapped to see Cael go all demon to protect and save Frank was awesome!!!  I loved these two together and I really loved this story!
So all together I really loved this book beside the few times Andrew would annoying me these two stories together were really good!
I would definitely recommend this book!

I started this book liking it a lot…. Then you get to 80% and yes I know it is a paranormal and of course what is happening in this book is all made up but it goes so far I can’t even wrap my mind around it.  First as a parent there was a part that  was completely wrong and unbelievable to me.  I can’t say without giving away huge spoilers but for a parent to make that decision and think it was ok.. I just could not stretch my head around that at all.  Then you get a bunch of things put into the last part of the book that honestly I could not even figure out was happening because honestly it was so confusing and none of it even made sense to me at all.  So I want to give it 3 stars because I really did like the first 80% then everything got so confusing and the part where Terrance made a decision  I could not even.. I can’t even put into words how mad that made me, dropped this down for me.
