Title: Reasonable Doubt (Boys in Blue #2)
Author Name: Mia Watts
Publication Date & Length: June 21, 2010 – 63pgs

Synopsis

Book two in the Boys in Blue Series Geo and Mack have faced a lot of problems, but when the problem is within their relationship, will Mack come clean and claim his man, or lose him to an old flame? Geo Wilson’s feelings for his partner Mack Sullivan run deep. But formerly straight Mack grows distant when Geo’s old flame, a former female detective gone FBI, comes to town to take over the lead on their case. Geo makes no effort to discourage the woman, and Mack wonders if he missed the break up memo. Geo’s apparent rejection hurts and Mack begins to have reasonable doubts about where they stand. For Mack, taking the next step is a huge risk and one Geo has never taken before. Geo’s friendliness with the former girlfriend could be a sign of changing affection. It wouldn’t be the first time Geo has left a broken heart in his wake and Mack’s beginning to wonder if he’s just become another notch in Geo’s belt. All that’s left now is the case and as it comes to a close, will Mack and Geo catch the killer only to lose each other? Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of M/M intimacy, and is best read in sequence after Bad Boys, Bad Boys.

FiveStars

This was a continuation of Mack and Geo’s relationship from Book 1 in the series.
We get to see what happens when Geo’s ex fiancee comes back into town and takes over the big case they’ve been working on. Can Mack handle the amount of jealousy he encounters? Does their relationship stand up against an old flame?
Once again Mia Watts just amazes me. It was really great seeing how their relationship grew and the men themselves learned new things not only about their partner, but themselves.
The sex was hotter, the frustration was palpable and the conclusion was exciting. I can’t wait to see where the next couple leads to!

4.5 Stars for Here Comes Trouble by A.E. Via – #MM #Cops #Romance @AuthorAEVia

Title: Here Comes Trouble (Nothing Special #3)
Author Name: A.E. Via
Publication Date & Length: November 28, 2014 – 298pgs

Synopsis

Detectives Mark Ruxsberg and Chris Green are very good at their jobs. Being the enforcers for God and Day’s notorious Atlanta PD Narcotics Task Force causes the crazy duo to get into more trouble than they can often get out of. The pair never misses out on an opportunity to drive their Lieutenants crazy with their dangerous, reckless, and costly stunts, landing them in the hot seat in front God… often.

Ruxs and Green love their jobs and they don’t mind the very demanding schedule that leaves them little time for socializing or dating. It was fine with them, they enjoyed hanging out with each other anyway.

However, most of the men in their close circle of friends and colleagues are pairing off and settling down. God has Day, Ro has Johnson, and their Sergeant Syn has Furious.

For the past several years, Ruxs has only sought out the advice and company of one person, his partner and best friend Green, and vice versa. Both of these alpha males are presumed straight, but neither can deny the heat that’s building in their once ‘just friends’ relationship.

FourandHalfStars

I enjoy reading A.E.Via’s books.  They are sexy, thrilling and entertaining.  She captures lots of action to keep you interested.  This one didn’t disappoint, it had hot alpha men throughout the whole book with an exciting storyline.  There was humor and a good sense of family.  The secondary characters played a large part in this book, even though they have their own books.
Ruxs was a hard working man, very dedicated to his mother. Green was a very caring good friend to Ruxs, who stood by him through a very hard time with his mom.  Green took responsibility for a young boy, Curtis, like he was his own, when he was just a kid in trouble.  Green and Ruxs spent all their free
time together even after being partners all day at work. It was great reading as Ruxs became aware of his feelings.   It was exciting how they faced life threatening situations and then could be so loving towards each other.  There was so many times I was either laughing or crying, because the story got you so involved.  Definitely a must read book.

AuthorBio

A.E. Via is still a fairly new author in the beautiful gay erotic genre. Her writing embodies everything from spicy to scandalous. Her stories often include intriguing edges and twists that take readers to new, thought-provoking depths.

When she’s not clicking away at her laptop, she devotes herself to her family–a husband and four children, her two pets, a Maltese dog and her white Siamese cat, ELynn, named after the late, great gay romance author E. Lynn Harris.

While she has just released her fifth novel, she has plenty more to come. So stalk her – she loves that – because the male on male action is just heating up!
