Dying Sucks
Particularly when you discover there really is a hell. Aden thinks there’s no way he can avoid going down, but when an angel and demon can’t agree over his fate, Aden is given one more month to gain redemption. He doubts he can find a way to become a better man in so short a time. But it’s worth a try, right?
Living sucks
Particularly when you can’t shake free of an obsessive ex. Brody might be managing to hold down his job as a vet, but his personal life is a mess. If he doesn’t pull himself together soon, he’s going to be sliding downhill too fast to stop.
One wet night, on a dark country lane, two worlds collide and destinies change forever.
If I had to use one word to describe this book it would be “incredible”. This book is what I would describe as a book about heaven and hell, right and wrong, good and bad, the unlovable and lovable, and last but not least love or obsession.
What would you do if suddenly you are surrounded by a mist and told you are dead and about to be judged by two men. One from heaven and one from hell. And furthermore what would you do if both men said you belong where they are from and that until you proved one way or another they could not decide what to do and you have one month to help them make their decision? Well that is where Aden has found himself. He has one month to find love and return it for the first time in his life and he has to prove he is a good man to boot.
Aden in my opinion is lost. He lives his life for himself and does not think about anyone else. He lies, cheats, steals, and takes what he wants and never questions it or feels bad about it. When judgement day comes I honestly believe that it is definitely a blessing in disguise. I believe that because of the choices he has to make he finally finds that he can care about others and he finally open his heart to someone for the first time in his life. Aden by all means has not had an easy life and had went through so much but that does not mean he has to let that define him or his future and I think that is the point of everything he is about to endure.
Brody has been manipulated by the one person he should have been able to trust at th early age of 14, his chemistry teacher. Matt abuses and molds Matt from the age of 14 when he starts sleeping with and abusing his student. But that is not where it stops. Matt is obsessed with Brody and the real question is how far is Matt willing to go or has he gone in order to keep Brody under his thumb? What will happen when Brody starts to open up and fall for Aden and then Matt walks back into his life? Will Matt ever let Brody go or will he be the reason for everything ending between Brody and Aden permanently?
This book was such an incredible read that I did not want to put it down. It holds so many emotions throughout the whole book and you are able to feel everyone of those emotions. Barbara Elsborg has a definite winner in this book. I loved every moment of it.
