Beckett Henry doesn’t believe in giving or receiving Christmas presents. Growing up in a poor family, he’s had to see the guilt on his parents faces every year when they couldn’t provide him and his brother the fancy toys the other kids received. Not to mention the teasing from the other kids every January. The only bright spot of the holidays was when Asher Holden visited them and they all played together without any toys.

Asher is his brother’s best friend and they’d all grown up in the same neighborhood. He’s had a crush on the other man since puberty, but he’s never had the guts to say or do anything about it. Now, Asher is the owner and CEO of Holden Marketing, the company Beckett works for, and a relationship between them will never happen. Not only have they been friends for too many years, but there is a strict company policy against inter-office dating. He couldn’t imagine what they’d say if their CEO dated the creative manager’s P.A.  With the Christmas season fast approaching, Beckett is getting ready to get the following weeks over and done with when he gets a surprise—a Secret Santa present arrives on his doorstep! As more presents start to arrive, Beckett struggles to figure out who could be sending them, or what to do with them.

Will Beckett be ready when his Secret Santa is unveiled?

This was such a sweet story!
This was a short story about Beck who has had a crush on his older brothers friend Asher for a long time. He goes to work for the company Asher is CEO of and when he sees Asher again after not seeing him for awhile let’s just say the sparks fly between these two right away. Soon after he starts receiving very nice gifts from a secret Santa who he has no idea who they are from.

There was honestly so much sweet and steam in this story I loved these two men together. The way the author wrote these characters had me loving them from the start and the steam in this book was off the charts hot!!!!

I do not want to go to much into this story because it is short and I do not want to give any of this away. This novella you really need to read for yourself, so I will leave this review with I loved this novella! I would definitely recommend this novella! It was such a sweet Christmas story.

FiveStarsI loved this book. It reminds me of Cinderella, except it’s not a poor girl meeting and marrying a prince, but a used to be poor boy reuniting with a childhood friend who is now a billionaire.

The main character of Beckett is great. I loved his passion for his beliefs and his pride gets him into funny situations. I even love the sub character of his brother Zac who is very outspoken and just tells Beckett like it is whether he likes it or not. Asher, the love interest, is this big, powerful, and demanding rich guy who has a wonderful sensitive heart.

The main setting of the story is Beckett’s job. This gave me a deja vu feeling of working in an office again. The setup was spot on with the typical hard ass boss.

The only thing I wish would have been included in this story is the time frame of when Beckett and Asher declared their love for each other and Christmas Day. During that seven day period I would have loved to have seen what happened at Becketts work. How Beckett and Asher handled their relationship and the gossiping that would have been going on and how Becketts boss would have reacted.

I do highly recommend this book. This is a wonderful story and the characters are really well developed. I look forward to more books from this author.

Beck and Asher are a very sweet couple.  I like that they knew each other before this story began; it helps with the story and the flow to know that their background was shared.
Despite the fact that Beck came from a poor family, Asher is Beck’s brother’s best friend and life long crush.  Beck wanted to work for Asher’s company, simply because he wanted to be closer to Asher.  Even though his big brother offered to help Beck gain employment, it was something that Beck wanted to do on his own.
Even though you don’t get to see too much about the family dynamic in both Asher and Beck’s lives, you do get a sense that it might not be a great support to them.  I did really like Beck’s brother though – mainly because he wants both his brother and best friend to be happy.
Asher is slightly older and wants to make something of himself, but after becoming so successful, finds himself so lonely.  When he realizes that his best buddy’s brother is working for him, he set out to Beck just how much he remembers of when they were younger.
I really enjoyed the romance in this story.  Even though it was very predictable, I don’t feel that it really took away from the sweetness of the story.  Overall, this was a great, short holiday story.

Asher stood at over six feet tall and had broad shoulders. His Armani suit strained across his wide chest and his white dress shirt stretched over bulging muscles. His legs seemed to go on forever, his feet large, like the rest of him, were encased in expensive black dress shoes. A short, neat beard covered his sharp jaw, his dark hair long enough to curl over his collar. But like the rest of his appearance, it was tidy. His eyes gave me butterflies though. They were green and deep, and right at this moment, they were searching my own eyes.

Shock coursed through me and, moving on instinct, I slouched back down, feeling my cheeks heat at being caught checking him out.

“No, you can’t help me,” Asher said to Louise, his tone suggesting amusement.

I heard footsteps and then felt a breath on the top of my head. Willing away my blush, I tilted my head backward and stared into those profound jade eyes.

“Hi, Beck.” Asher smiled at me, and I’m pretty sure I began melting.

I swallowed, trying to find words. “Hi, Ash.”
