Go All The Way was a sweet Valentine’s story.  Peter and Kenley were planning their wedding but Peter’s ex boyfriend decided he wanted Peter back.

Peter and Kenley were very different from each, Peter was a famous model and Kenley worked on computers.  They actually worked quite well together for me.  I liked that Peter was romantic and Kenley was in his own way.

Kenley came up with the perfect plan to fool Peter’s ex but will it work, you’ll need to read this quick sweet story to find out.

Ceaseless Conviction is Part 5 of the Broken Series.  And once again Sibley Jackson has brought Brice and Talen back.  This time there is two fires and Talen gets hurt.  Loved how Brice uses his wealth too fight for Talen.  But Talen really gets a shocker at the end of this book.

These books always end with a good cliffhanger, that’s what makes then so much fun to read you just don’t know where Sibley Jackson is going to take these stories.

The book may be short but is written so well that it keeps you coming back for more.

Title: Tall Order
Author Name: Irene Preston
Publication Date & Length: February 16, 2016 – 74 pgs

Synopsis

Chef Dylan Trevino screwed up bad, and he knows it. When he left Austin, his job, and his boyfriend behind, Dylan was confident Aston would follow him to New York. Now he’s back home and working for the worst caterer in town just to pay the rent. Being head chef at a party thrown by a famous rocker doesn’t make up for serving bland tacos while dressed like a dime-store cowboy. Thank god his ex can’t see him now.

Aston Winkler’s steampunk guitar mods are all the rage with musicians and he’s got invites to every hot party in town. Too bad he’d rather be listening to garage bands than networking in a penthouse. From his 6’7” vantage point, Aston has no problem spotting Dylan at the crowded SXSW party. Getting his boyfriend back?

That’s a tall order.

Tall Order was a very quick sweet read of second chance at love.
Because it was so short it skimmed on many topics that were important to the story.
Win was very self conscious of being so tall but had a wonderful heart which was hurt by Dylan.  Dylan left Win but never considered them broken up, which I thought was odd, I mean he left and never called him. After Dylan came back I thought it took Dylan awhile to realize he needed to let Win help him.

I wished it had explained why Dylan left New York and came back to Texas. The story kind of left that hanging. Even with those issues it was very sweet and lovely story.

Sherry

Excerpt

“Hello, Dylan.”

Dylan closed his eyes at the unfairness of the whole fucked up night. Damn, damn, damn. The sound of his name on Win’s lips still made him weak at the knees. It made him want to punch the asshole in the other room and anyone else who’d touched Win while he was gone. It made him want to take Win home, and take him to bed, and remind him they belonged to each other. Dylan and no one else took care of Win. Unfortunately, none of that was possible, and it was all his fault.

He turned.

“Win.” It was all he could manage. Up close Win was even more devastating. Dylan locked his knees so he wouldn’t take a step closer. If he started moving toward the man standing in the doorway, he wasn’t sure he could stop.

“Most people just call me Aston now.”

I’m not most people. Dylan stopped himself from saying it out loud.

Win watched him for a minute. “I didn’t know you were back in town.”

Was there a shadow of hurt in his eyes? Dylan couldn’t tell. The realization sliced him, because he had always been able to tell exactly what Win was thinking.

“Just got back.” What else was there to say? Yes, he was back in Austin. No, he wasn’t in New York. Yes, his Big Chance had been a Big Mistake. No, he never should have left. He should have stayed here, a medium-sized fish in a medium-sized pond instead of trying to swim in the ocean. He should never have forced Win to choose.

Win took a few steps closer and all the thoughts running around in Dylan’s head stopped cold so his brain could focus on one fact. Win. Right in front of him. I could touch him.

Win was so close Dylan had to tilt his head to keep looking at him. The angle brought back the memory of every time he’d angled his head just so when Win leaned in to kiss him.

Dylan held his breath, held as still as he could, and tried not to give the thought away.

Win gazed at him for a minute, then lifted one hand and trailed a finger down the front of Dylan’s shirt, lighting up nerve endings as he went.

“Cute.”

This was another good book, going to be a great series, by Mortica Knight. This story was about a young man escaping his father’s brutality and finding his true love. I loved how Sam and Aaron met. I also loved the journey that they took together to find themselves.

I felt Aaron was a very caring man but yet not sure where he fit in his sexual life.  Sam on the other was very sweet, very trusting of Aaron while he was teaching Sam how to behave. My favorite part was when Aaron and Saul took on Sam’s father.

This was a good start to the series can’t wait to read more.

In Book 1 of the series, the setting is in 1920’s. It’s the story of a man, a wealthy painter by the name of Aaron Rubenstein and how he found his sub/forever love in Sam, a naive 18 year old boy. From the start you feel really bad for Aaron. He’s gay, knows it, loves certain games, yet he hates himself. Probably because most of the guys he “plays” with don’t understand him.
Then he meets Sam in a bathing house. Sam ran away from home cause his rich father wants him to marry, but Sam is gay. He’s so sheltered though, that he doesn’t know a thing about gay sex. Thankfully he meets Aaron, who adores him. These two are made to be together and they’re so sweet. Too sweet…lol. Aaron and Sam both cried way too much. I liked them enough though to give this book a 4 instead of my first choice of 3 stars. It was interesting reading about a romance set in the 1920’s.
If you wanna read something extra sweet, a healing story, this book is for you.
Oh and don’t be fooled by the “Road Club”. Lol This isn’t an MC story folks. Haha

This book was hard for me to get through at times. I found myself skimming at times but at other times so into the story I didn’t want to put it down. I had to keep reminding myself that it was set in the 1920’s for one thing. LOL. I loved how sweet and innocent Sam was but at times I also got frustrated with his nativity.  I wanted to think Aaron was a dirty old bird, but I couldn’t help but like him, I loved his patience with Sam. This ended up being a beautiful story of love and friendship and I really hope we get to see these two again in the rest of the series.
Angie
FiveStars
This book starts of with Sam who is naïve and young in a new city after escaping his brutal father.
He meets Aaron and there is a instant attraction between these two men.I loved how protective and caring Aaron was of Sam. Then there was Sam who was just so sweet!

They both fit so well together and you could feel the love these two men have for one another.

I thought the author did such a awesome job with the time period in this book! She pulled you in from the start of this story and I could not put this book down once I started it.

There was steam in this book and two men who grow closer together in their Dom/Sub relationship. The way that Aaron was so patient with Sam while teaching him everything was just so sweet!
So I will leave this review with….. I loved this book and would recommend it!

TWO 4 and ONE 3 Stars for Rattrap (The Wyverns #3) by L.M. Somerton #M/M @LMSomerton

Title: Rattrap (The Wyverns #3)
Author Name & Publisher: L.M. Somerton (Pride Publishing)
Publication Date & Length: February 9th 2016- 65 pages

Synopsis

Teddy Austin has had more than his share of run-ins with local law enforcement. The Wyverns have a reputation to maintain, and Teddy feels it’s his duty to cause havoc whenever possible. Of course, getting arrested means time in the company of Sheriff Adrian Hayder—always a bonus—though Teddy would far prefer to have the sheriff wearing the cuffs.

When The Knights of War MC arrives in Phoenix, Trap orders The Wyverns to get inside information. In order to infiltrate the gang, Teddy must appear to betray his friends and switch his allegiance. Working undercover, however, he confirms what they have all suspected—The Knights of War are a cover for something much more sinister than a hell-raising bunch of bikers, and they fully intend to turn Phoenix into a battleground.

With Sheriff Hayder getting far too close to the truth, Teddy is left with a few problems—how to stop a war, keep his balls intact and ensure the man he loves keeps breathing.

This was a short steamy read. Teddy was a biker who was always getting in trouble mostly to see the hot sheriff Adrian. Teddy goes undercover to find out what’s going on but he’s more worried about Adrian getting involved.  It was good story full of action, but Teddy and Adrian just didn’t seem to click for me.  There was plenty of hot sex but I didn’t feel the connection between the two. Maybe if their relationship was developed they would have made a great couple it just was to rushed.

Sherry

FourStars

Hmm, where to start with this story?  I didn’t read the previous books, but never really felt lost.  It was slightly confusing when it came to the rival gang, but that might have been because I didn’t know what the dynamic was, other than in this story.

Let’s just say that Adrian and Teddy make an explosive couple.  They are hot and cold, hot oil and chilly water colliding.  I love how Teddy takes charge of the in control Adrian.  Then, Adrian decides that despite his reservations, he needs to do his own sleuthing – putting him in some danger of the rival gang.  Both characters are caught between playing the part of their life that everyone knows and allowing someone in that might be outside their comfort zone.

Then you have Kit – whom I really like and hope he gets his own story.

What it all boils down to is getting the good guys to win.  This story wasn’t terribly in depth in terms of character development, but it had some action, steamy scenes and a connection between the two main characters that was believable.

AvidReader

ThreeStar

This is a novella, so it didn’t take long to read even though it’s part of a series. I’m giving it a 3 though because there really wasn’t much to the story. We have Teddy, who is a MC bad boy, but also an undercover cop…? His love interest is the Sheriff, Adrian. These two are hot together, but they really didn’t spend enough time together to make them believable as a couple. Did they even end up as a couple? The ending was more HFN. maybe we’ll get another book of them.
The plot idea was interesting, with the Knights Of War being a racist group bent on mass murdering people, but it kinda fell flat for me. It’s a short book, but it should have been longer to make it more interesting. I liked Teddy, I liked Adrian…I just wish there was more of them together than apart.

Title: The Rules Of Love ( The Hampton Road Club #2)
Author Name & Publisher: Morticia Knight (Pride Publishing)
Publication Date & Length: February 6th 2015- 143 pages

Synopsis

Master Saul is captivated by the beautifully submissive Kenneth and the boy’s love of pain. Unfortunately, Kenneth belongs to Master Preston.

It’s 1926 and as one of the founding members of the Hampton Road Club, Master Saul Liebowitz has enjoyed the charms of many willing submissives over the years. One of the newer submissives to the club has captured his attention more than anyone has in a long time. Kenneth is tall, muscular and also seems to have a greater love of pain than most. If only Kenneth didn’t already belong to another Master.

After Kenneth’s Master died years before, he allowed himself to be taken in by the promises of Master Preston. As time has gone by, Preston has become increasingly crueler to the point where Kenneth fears for his life. They’ve recently joined a sadomasochism club and Kenneth can’t help but yearn for the handsome Master the other boys speak so highly of—Master Saul.

Preston takes things too far one night, and when Saul and his good friend, Master Aaron, do some investigating, they realize that Kenneth might be in real danger. Amidst turmoil at the club over whether there should be rules to keep the boys safe and Preston’s play for power, Saul searches for a way to save Kenneth from what he’s sure is a deadly situation.

Both men fight for what they believe to be the right thing. When they find their way to one another, a wonderful new world opens up to them. But there’s one man out there who refuses to let go of the old ways. Kenneth is his property and Master Preston won’t give him up.

Kenneth has been abused badly by his master. Saul has seen Kenneth at the club and has been attracted to him for awhile. Saul tries to find away to save Kenneth from his master.

I felt so bad for Kenneth with how he was treated and hurt by that evil man. I was also so happy Saul was there for him and saved him from that horrible situation.

These two men together Saul and Kenneth were so sweet together and there was steam too which was hot between these two men. You also see a lot of the characters from the previous book in this series too which I really loved!

All together I loved how these author wrote these characters and this story and would definitely recommend this book!

Book two of the Hampton Road Club series focuses on Saul, the close friend of Aaron from the first book. His love interest is Kenneth, a middle aged sub who doesn’t look like your typical effeminate looking sub. He’s tall, muscular, but shy. I really liked that about this book. I like reading about a Dom/sub relationship that doesn’t follow the normal formula.
Kenneth likes pain, but he’s not into the type of abuse his current Dom is giving him. He’s too sweet for that. I wanted to kick Preston’s butt. Saul went to the rescue though and took Kenneth for himself. They balance each other out pretty well. Kenneth’s situation made Saul realize that he needed to make changes in his club, changes that made sure to protect the subs. Saul made Kenneth feel safer and more confident with himself and his body. His needs. Win/win for everyone.

ThreeandHalfStars

I can’t say I enjoyed this book as much as book 1.  For over the first half of the book it was non consensual sex and harm to Kenneth and Linus.  It was pretty disturbing.
I found Preston to be utterly disgusting and almost didn’t continue reading.
But it did move along to Saul and Kenneth and then there was the amount of caring between master and sub towards the end of the book.  There was a bit of a surprise as to who owned the club, it was a nice turn. I definitely will give book 3 a chance and hope that it’s a little lighter.

~Sherry

ThreeandHalfStars

You can read this as a standalone but if you read the series in order it gives you backstory and gives you the full picture. I liked this book, the phrase “old sport” was used a lot and it drove me crazy at times. As with the first book the story at times was too wordy for me but this book did move at a faster pace. I loved Kenneth, I just wanted to hug him and tell him everything was going to be ok. I loved the connection between Kenneth and Saul, it felt real and made the story more believable. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Title: Mastering Love ( The Hampton Road Club #4)
Author Name & Publisher: Morticia Knight (Pride Publishing)
Publication Date & Length:  May 8th 2015- 197 pages

Synopsis

Evan sees a Master who could be his whole world and Ned sees a beautiful boy in need. But shattered trust and broken hearts could keep them apart forever.

Evan landed on his ex-Master’s doorstep after Master Gabriel dumped him for a virgin. He’d hoped Thomas would take him back, but he’s moved on with his new submissive, Linus. Evan has nowhere to go and barely a penny to his name. Fortunately, Master Aaron and his boy, Sam, invite him to stay at their guesthouse. Alone and abandoned, Evan aches for a Master who can give him more—if only he knew what ‘more’ meant.

Master Ned has finally decided to settle down in one place after traveling on the road for years. He’s always loved the Hampton Road Club—it’s a private sanctuary for men such as himself. The roaring twenties might be freer than ever, but the decadence of the sadomasochistic club could put its members in danger if they’re not discreet.

Ned’s on the lookout for an untried boy who’s ready to fully submit to him on a daily basis. In return, he plans to train and care for his submissive. If he can also find love, then his life will be perfect.
After Evan is introduced to Ned at the club, they have an intense encounter that catches them both by surprise. What should lead to a possible future for them as Master and submissive is destroyed when Ned mysteriously casts Evan aside. Evan wonders if he’ll ever be good enough to keep a Master, and Ned fears he may have lost the best thing that ever happened to him.

Shattered trust and broken hearts have to be repaired before Evan and Ned can find their way to each other—if it’s not already too late.

I have to say I loved this story, not that Evan and Ned were my favorite couple, it’s just I liked their journey of finding each other the best.  This whole series shows how far their club has come, I love how they are trying to improve conditions for the subs.

I felt horribly for Evan, he was hurt emotionally by a previous Master and again when he thought Ned didn’t want him. But through it all Thomas was his friend, which was a nice touch. Evan and Ned worked for me as a couple.  They seemed perfect for each other.

My favorite part of the book was when Thomas had volunteered Aaron for having a lawn party.  I laughed at that it was written so well.

Definitely a very good series to read.

This book was such a good addition to this series!

Evan landed on his EX Masters doorstep after Master Gabriel dumped him for a virgin. I honestly felt so bad for Evan and there were some points in this book where I was not happy with Master Ned and his need to have a untried boy. But finally Ned gives into his feelings for Evan and it was just so beautiful.

Evan and Ned were my favorite couple in this series! They were so sweet together and the steam between these two men was so hot!

I loved the way Morticia Knight wrote these characters in this story and the book was just so beautiful and sweet! Even though there were some hard moments in this book for Evan he comes out of everything that has happened and being kicked when he was down so much stronger.

So I will leave this review with…. I 100% loved this book and would recommend this series!

ThreeandHalfStars

You can read this as a standalone but if you read the series in order it gives you backstory and gives you the full picture. When I found out who was in this story I was so excited, I wanted to see Evan get his HEA. I know I always state this but at times this series can be too wordy and move a little slow. This book drove me nuts. Evan and Ned had an instant connection, they both wanted each other but Ned was being stupid and wouldn’t listen to his heart. I would have preferred to see more action between Evan and Ned instead of them both “confused” about their feelings and if the other person wanted them. The book was good but I think it could have been five stars if there would have been more action or a longer story to see more results.

Angie

ThreeStar

Ok, and here we have book 4 of the Hampton Road Club series, and I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first 3.  Evan was way too whiny for me. He was also too bratty to the point that I didn’t like him much. He left Thomas, the Dom from the last book, for another Dom who told him lies about Thomas. That same Dom sent him packing when he found himself an untouched sub. I suppose I was supposed to feel bad for Evan, but I think he dug his own hole and needed to lay in it.
I didn’t connect well with the Dom, Ned either. He was so stuck in wanting an untouched sub and basically led Evan on. I didn’t like them for each other. Truthfully, I just wasn’t invested enough with their relationship to care if they ended up with each other or not, which they did of course.

Book 3 started with a small repeat of the ending with book 2.  Linus who was abused in book 2 is actually quite shy.  I just loved how Linus was so sweet and eager to get to know Thomas.  Thomas was very caring. I liked how Linus matured while being with Thomas. Their story was actually very sweet.  So far I liked Aaron and Sam the best but Thomas and Linus are a very close second.

Book 3 of the Hampton Road Club series is about Linus. He’s the sub abused by Preston in book 2. Kenneth and Saul saved him. He’s scared to become a sub again cause he doesn’t want to get hurt. How can he trusts Doms, when one hurt him?
Thomas, a Dom at the club has had an eye on Linus for a long while and he blames himself for not acting sooner and making Linus his. This is the usual formula of the delicate sub and the Dommy, but sweet Dom. They were cute, sweet and great together. Thomas didn’t give up and showed Linus that all Dom’s are not like Preston, that jerk. Linus really needed a break and I’m glad Thomas was there for him.
This serious is too cute and too sickly sweet, lol, but sometimes you just wanna read about stories like this.

This book was a good addition to this series!

Linus was hurt by Kenneth’s former Master and is now understandable afraid to go to the club. Thomas sees Linus as a man aching for surrender and wants to help him.

So to start of this review I will admit this book did take me awhile to get into at first and I am not really sure why. I did really like these two men together and I did like their characters too. I also loved how you got to see more of previous characters too. So I can not really explain why but this one just did not grab me like the previous books in this series did.

So I will leave this review with… I did like this book, there were just parts of this that did drag for me. I would recommend this series!

Will the love and support of handsome English teacher Reilly O’Keefe be enough to sustain Wynn and Connor, or are they in too deep to scrabble their way out of danger?

This was such a good story about drugs in schools, how the kids handle it and the consequences that come from drugs.

Wynn was the main character and was a cop along with his son Connor who was in high school.  Wynn meets Reilly a teacher and it was instant attraction. I thought Wynn and Reilly’s relationship moved pretty fast, but it seemed to work very well with the story content.  Wynn’s ex wife’s husband was a jerk. Though it did add some conflict to the story it did make the ex wife and Wynn understand each other better.  Other than the major plot of the drugs it was a good story about how family sticks together.

Even though it was a short story I felt that it was complete. I really enjoyed this book and always look forward to reading more by Jenna Byrnes.

This is totally a standalone in this series even though at the beginning it is a bit overwhelming with all the characters being thrown at the reader, once you get past that, I don’t think we see much of any of the other characters from previous books.
I liked that this was a cop book, but it wasn’t so much so that you lose track of the characters… And I can’t help but love that it’s a teacher book, because who didn’t have a crush on a teacher at one point in their life or another so this was fun for me.
There was a lot of insta chemistry, but I liked the way the two men came together even with the evil ex and tween around to be dealt with.
I will say that I felt like the designer drug was sort of not a finished sideline of the book when it had taken up so much of a part of the book so that was a bit of a disappointment for me.

This is the ninth book in Jenna Byrnes Kansas City Heat series and I loved it. Jenna Byrnes just draws you into the story and makes you believe. This story deals with primarily drug use in high school thru college and how the main characters deal with it. Wynn and Reilly were absolutely great together and I immediately connected with both MC’s and was amazed with how they dealt with a new cheaper drug that was hitting the schools. Ms. Byrnes also shows how they dealt with becoming involved with each other and again made this insta-love believable. This was a very easy read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Synopsis

Noah has suppressed his urges for other men for years, but when a sexy bartender comes crashing into his life, all bets are off.

Due to his career as a lawyer and his father’s strict ways, Noah has always ignored the side of him that craves the touch of another man, not wanting to upset the calm waters of his life. But when he’s out one night celebrating his friend’s first win in a courtroom, Noah is taken aback by the raw lust that consumes him when he meets Shea. He wants to ignore what he feels for the man, but when Shea introduces a tantalizing side of sex that Noah has been dreaming of, he finds it impossible to keep Shea out of his life.

Shea’s been heartbroken before by a man who wouldn’t come out of the closet for him, and he doesn’t think he can go through that again. Can Noah let go of his fears of coming out to the world? Will the pleasures Shea gives him in the bedroom have Noah seeing what really matters in the long run?

Hot, hot, hot. That’s about all I can say. It was short (a little to short) and extremely steamy when Noah hooks up with Shea.  A quick read of a romance where Noah isn’t out yet because of his job and family and he meets Shea, a hot bartender.

They fit well together in the story, Noah and Shea.  But your expectations can’t be to high for this book cause before you blink its over with.  Would have loved to read more about these guys.

But still a nice diversion from your normal lengthy novels.

This was a surprise for me. I really liked the authors writing style and her ability to draw me in. This was the first book of her’s I’ve read but I can’t wait for more!
The characters were opposites and that made it a fun book for me to read. I do love angst! Someone not out of the closet and afraid of losing his job while another has already had his heart broken by someone not willing to be out for him.
My biggest problem with the book is that it wasn’t longer and that I felt there wasn’t a great ending to the story and that there were times/things that felt a bit unnecessary especially considering how short the story was.

Wow, I mean WOW. This book was great and a new author for me too. Ms. Wrights writing style was excellent and the characters absolutely amazing. It was clear that Noah and Shea had an immediate connection and I felt it. I love when an author can write and make you feel. I seem to get so much more out of the book when I can feel the characters emotions. So there I am reading the book and low and behold it was ending. This story was too short am I would love to hear more about Noah and Shea.

This was a really short story. Noah basically a closet gay and Shae a man who will never be in the closet again, meet and have an instant attraction. There were so many things that I thought were random or just not needed or were filler for a really short story as it was. Just when things got good it was over and I wasn’t happy with the ending it seemed really abrupt and unfinished. This had the potential to be a really good.
