So many things to like in this book. The sex scenes were hot. H. O. T. The kink was good, integrated within the story, integral to the plot, but not overwhelming. The emotions of all three characters made the relationship between them all. No, they don’t expect everything to be roses all the time. They expect problems and issues, but they all have a desire to work through them. A realistic viewpoint. The serial killer case upped the tension and anticipation, knowing that something was going to happen. I would say, though, that it was difficult swinging between the two extremes of the plot. The romance/erotica/relationship story had such a different feel from the police procedural/murder mystery/cop thriller, and sometimes the transition between the two was difficult to traverse. Both storylines were good, both kept my attention, but they evoked very different reactions, and I’m not sure those went together as well. Also, there was a lot of foreshadowing, enough that I felt confident in who the perp was, and how things would come to a head. That didn’t lessen my enjoyment at all. I liked the emphasis on the feelings of Julia, Garrison, and Keaton, and how they all worked through honest communication to get to a place where everybody was happy with the relationship. All in all, this was a very enjoyable read.

What did I just read? Brilliance is what that was! Plus look at that cover…oh freaking my, sexy, sexy. This story had a little bit of everything that crosses of the must have list. It had the suspense, it had the D/s, it had the love and emotions. It didn’t have that insta-love and fairytales, which for me is all the better. Garrison and Julia have amazing marriage and understand, trust, respect each other to help the other with what they need in life. The characters had to work for the relationship, yet the relationship felt real not forced or fake. I liked that Julia and Garrison knew Keaton in their own unique ways. It helps to show that the deep connection that was there and why the emotions bloomed so well. They felt real with real issues and fears, like they were your neighbors. Garrison and Julia may have been a strong couple, but with the addition of Keaton, the three are a powerhouse throuple and so dang sexy too, mmhmm.
The flow was smooth; the storyline was coherent. I enjoyed having the 3 POVs, so I could get to know each one and I did. Garrison was my favorite, he cracked me up, yet his love for his wife to let her do what she needs is amazing. Once I started reading, I could not set this book down.

I love Orman books.  This one did not disappoint.  The characters are well developed and the story flows easily.
Julia, Garrison and Keaton are all living their lives – doing what they love and trying to figure out how to be happy.
I love that Julia is both Domme and sub.  I think that it gives her a unique experience and with her skills, she is able to fulfill many desires.  I also really like that she keeps her client’s secret, even from Garrison.  I think that it makes her situation throughout the story much more real.  When she is faced with a situation, she handles herself with grace and strength.
Then you have Garrison, who is working hard to figure out who is hurting Domme’s in his town.  Not only does he not really have a clue who is doing this, but he has to figure out his feelings for DA Keaton.  While he loves his wife, he also knows that he enjoys being with men too.  Julia knows and accepts this about him, so he just needs to figure out if Keaton should be with them as a couple, him alone or not at all.
Finally, you have Keaton.  I loved his character.  He was strong, brave and unafraid of what he desires.  He knows that his lifestyle could put him in the hot seat, so he’s thankful that he found someone who will keep his secret.  When he figures out how everything is connected, he has to make the decision to leap and hope that nothing bad will happen.
The three of them have OK chemistry, but I do wish that we would have seen them more on a one and one basis.  I felt like we heard all about their relationship, but didn’t really get to see it develop.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story.  It had great chemistry and the mystery was intriguing.

Rachael Orman you completely and totally blew me away. I have not read any of Rachael Orman’s previous books but I can guarantee you that I will be doing so now. This is a book that is full of lust, respect, dommes, submissives, dominates, love, cravings, mystery, murder, BDSM, and so much more. What more can a girl ask for? Oh yeah I know, male/male/female relations. But guess what, it has that too.

This is one of those books that when you start reading it sucks you in immediately and does not let go till the very end and even then you are left wishing you had not finished the book yet because you want more. It is one of those books that even when it ismidnight you do not want to put the book down because you have to know what is going to happen next.

Garrison and Julia are happily married and if push came to shove, they are not missing anything in their relationship. They are truly a couple that most would love to base their own relationship off of but Julia is submissive to Garrison but is a Domme to others in her part time line of work. Garrison is also bisexual but they have never let those two things come between them. I honestly do not think that they ever would have either. But both of them being attracted to Keaton was a plus in their marriage because both was able to get to explore parts of themselves that they normally would not have.

In my opinion, it was inevitable for the three of these people to end up together. They each complimented one another in ways that made them all better people and happier in their lives. It is as if in my opinion, that they are made for one another. The three of them together is better all together then they ever could be apart.

With the murders happening around them, it throws an extra spin into the book that made it even more captivating. I really enjoyed reading this book so much and I cannot wait to read more books by Rachael Orman. She is a spectacular author and this book is proof of that. Amazing job!!!!

Wow talk about betrayal by those who are supposed to love you the most. This book has way more then it’s fair share of betrayal and pain. But this book also has hope, long lost love, friendship, family, and it has new beginnings.

Randall has tried to pull away from his families money and live his life the way that he wanted and keep certain aspects under wraps about what he does in his free time but all the secrets that he has blows up in his face and is outed for his extracurricular activities that he does. In turn it turns his family against him. In my opinion that is when the story really and truly begins.

Noah and Randall both have been in love with each other since they were teenagers but they lost touch and then reconnected right before all of Randall’s troubles started. The way that Noah was willing to stand by Randall through all of the bad so close to them reconnecting is the true story of how strongly they both love each other. The things that would tear a normal couple apart brought these two men closer and made them stronger in their relationship and individually.

The things that Randall faced nearly broke him but because of the love Noah had for him, it made him stronger and into the man he always pictured himself to be. Randall hit his rock bottom and picked himself up and started over again to only decide living was better then giving in.

I really enjoyed the twist and turns in this book and I enjoyed taking the journey with Randall and Noah through their love story. This was a very good read and I look forward to reading more by Brandon Witt in the future.

Oh My Gawd – the drama!  The machinations of Randall’s family would make Shakespeare proud – or at least provide a great storyline for a daytime soap opera.  This is a tumultuous rollercoaster of a romance.

I loved the fact that Randall isn’t an entirely good leading man.  I liked his unapologetic sexual freedom and his independent spirit.  For me, Noah was a little bit too noble, but I enjoyed watching his character gain strength and confidence as the story progressed.

I really enjoyed The Imperfection of Swans by the same author, but this is a very different book.  Where the former was a warm, realistic and charming romance, this is high angst drama among the rich and famous.  This is a much steamier, sexier read.  Once again, there are positive references to polyamory and more unconventional sex, while still ensuring a heteronormative, monogamous HEA.

Randall’s scandalous outing and his subsequent downfall makes for quite distressing reading.  I’m not sure this story is always believable, but the melodrama is a lovely guilty pleasure.  I really enjoyed the romance and the intrigue.  I was surprised and excited by characters and plot twists and I loved the chemistry between Noah and Randall.

Sarah

FiveStars

I have enjoyed reading anything by Brandon Witt, and he did not disappoint me in this story either. His writing is fluent and strong. It is easy to follow even with all the drama and angst involved. I loved the twists throughout the story, as it kept me on my toes. There were a few different story lines in this book, but it was well created and played out.
I liked that Randall and Noah have known each other since they were kids and shared that first kiss. Everyone remembers that first kiss. I think if they hadn’t had a past together, even on the friendship side, I don’t know if I would have liked this story. For Noah to push so fast is understandable. He lost Randall once and doesn’t want to lose him again. So even though he wants to move forward fast, he is also still being patient.
Randall’s family…ugh. Why can’t all families just love and respect each other? My heart kept breaking for Randall throughout. I wanted to comfort him yet smack him to say “you are strong, don’t give up like they want you to.” His family was a real piece of work. No wonder he wants to make it on his own without their money. Randall has pride.
The interaction between Noah and Randall was genuine, sweet, compassion, and sexy. What these two went through together made a strong and unbreakable couple. Their hearts made a perfect whole.
I would recommend this book and all of Brandon Witt’s books. They are all so well written, and hits on subjects from real life.

When life tears apart your dream, build a new one.

As construction gets underway, the red-hot attraction between the two men flares, and soon they develop a fledgling relationship. This was such a sweet romance with a few hot smexy scenes thrown in. Since Pate can’t professionally dance anymore, he moves to teaching dance. With that in mind, he needs to build his studio and what is second best than a hot-as-sin contractor to build it. These two definitely had the insta-physical attraction and were trying hard to not indulge in their wanting, but yet try to get to know each other. Of course, the intense chemistry between wins over and they indulge. It isn’t until Pate is away from Ace and is offered a second chance at dancing that he realizes he doesn’t want it but does want Ace and his studio. Ace is so sexy, and such a romantic at heart (just try not to aww at what he does for Pate with his hobby) that there cannot be a better combination in one person. So yes, there was insta-attraction, but not necessarily insta-love and I enjoyed that in this story.
The flow of this story is smooth. Realistic time goes by and events are believable. You get swept up in everything that is happening and the romance between these two, that you don’t realize this only a novella. I truly enjoyed these two men and wished I had more time with them.
Keri

This is a book in my opinion about losing your first love only to find your true love and that is exactly what happened with Pate.

Pate’s first live has always been dancing but he knew that would not last forever and he was right. A knee injury took him out of the dancing game so now he is opening his own studio to teach. During the process of finding a contractor to do the renovations he meets Ace. And his world is turned upside down.

I think that Ace has always had a thing for Pate. He remembers him from school even though Pate does not remeber him. I also think that he was just waiting for the right time to let Pate know that he was interested in him.

I believe that Pate knew from the first encounter these two men had that Ace was someone special and that he could fall for him. I think that is what it took him so long to make a move and let Ace know that he was attracted to him. I think his attraction to Ace scared him but it was inevitable to end up together.

This was a good book. It is a sweet Romance of two men coming together and finding love. As I said in the beginning of the review, I believe this is a book about losing your first love to end up finding true love. I do not think that if Pate would not have gotten hurt that these two men would have crossed paths and ended up together. So sometimes things only happen because they are blessing in disguise.

This short story packed a wild punch and yet entailed a full story. What happens when you combine a vampire, a succubus and a landscaper? One fantastic and holy hotness story! I was captured from the first paragraph with my heart racing, not knowing what was happening.  This is definitely not a normal romance. You may feel as though the romance is forced through what Alfonso does, but knowing that Reese stands up when he knows he was used, makes it all worth it. Alonso was mysterious who lived in the dark. It did break my heart to know his backstory in which we learn through Talia. It was a good twist with the succubus, Talia. Reese was the gorgeous landscaper that Alonso cannot stop thinking about. Reese had the kindest heart. Being openly honest and nonjudgmental wins out and love can be obtained.

This is a book about coming home again. A book about finding your way into the light after being in the dark for too long. It’s a book about letting go of the past and looking to the future. It is a book about letting go of fear and learning to love again.
It is an amazing book and has so much depth too it.

Jake has been to H€LL and back. He lost his husband and son at the same time to a drunk driver. When he lost them he quit living. He just remained in the time and space but he did not really participate in life any longer. Jake decides to go back home to his grandfathers cabin and try to get on with his life. He never expects to meet Chris. He never expects that the past will follow him and that in order to move in with his life he has to walk out of the darkness and I to the light again.

Chris sees that Jake is struggling and that he is not over the grief of losing his husband and son and he also sees that Jake is drowning in it. Chris tries to be there for Jake but Jake pushed him away each time he lets him get close. It is a constant tug of rope where Jake is concerned.

This was a very emotional read. I enjoyed it so much. Watching these two characters come together even though it was not easy was truly amazing.

This is my first book by this author and it was very different them what I’m used to. I really didn’t understand the wolf thing but overall it was a really a great story. This book starts a year and a half after Chris lost his husband and his son in a tragic car accident. This was a story about hope and strength and finding new love. As I read I found myself feeling the loss that Chris was feeling. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see what Chris was going through. I really love an author that can put show much feeling into written word. It really makes for a really good book. This was also a story about hope and finding new love. I had an immediate connection with Chris and immediately fell in love with Jake. I highly recommend this story.

Lynn

FourStars

This was an emotional and healing read about Chris, who lost his husband and son in one accident. It has been 18 months and Chris cannot live anymore in the penthouse they built as a home. He has decided to move back to Wolf Thorn Lake, Maine, and start fresh in his Grandfather’s cabin that was left to him.
Jake, is a laid-back, easy-going, sexy man who lives for the now. He went through his own personal demons and has moved on with the help of his extended family at Wolf Thorn Lake.
When these two meet, it is electric right from the start. But Chris has a hard time letting go of the pain from the loss. Jake is there to help him almost every step of the way, although Chris needs to ultimately do it on his own.
Once Chris accepts the white wolf side of him and learns that his prior love will always be with him but his heart has so much more love to give, he finds Jake and never lets go.
This is about second chances at love, learning how to grieve, find and accept your inner-self, and live in the now for the future rather than the past. My heart shattered and mended back together with the love of the community.
Keri
FourStars

This is a story of grief and new hope. Chris’ grief is wrenching and overwhelming at the start of the story and there are times where honesty of his grief makes this a difficult book to read.

The grief in this book is tempered by a hope of new beginnings and the beauty of the New England setting.

I really loved the lyrical quality of the writing in this story. Some passages are really beautiful to read and some of the descriptions are incredibly moving. But while the prose was moving, there were times I found that I lost the story to the description.

I remain ambivalent about the Native American mysticism in this story but I did love the quirky characters in Chris’ new rural community and I enjoyed the contrast of New England with his New York life.

The central romance didn’t always work for me. Jake felt saint-like at times, putting up with Chris’ self-pity and inner turmoil, but again, grief is ugly and the author works hard to make Chris’ journey honest, even if that doesn’t quite make the leading man heroic or even likeable.

This is a difficult book. Honest grief is difficult to read and I’m sure it is difficult to write. However, there are some beautiful moments that make this story worth reading.

Sarah

ThreeStar

The blurb for this book made me want to read the book right off the bat. The first few chapters were good, I really got into the book and then it took a strange turn. The whole wolf legend threw me off and the way the author tried to write as if they were writing poetry or something. I can’t put my finger on it but it just took a nose dive for me. I wanted more Chris and Jake and less of all the other stuff. I found myself skimming the book at times because some of it was just going on and on about mother nature, the wolf lore, etc.

Angie

 ThreeStar

I’m really not sure What to think of This book. The writing style kind of thew me off. It wasn’t bad, just unexpected. The story is about A Man who lot two of the most important ppl in his life. Almost 2 years later, he moves Back Into his grandfather’s cabin, hoping for A new beginning. Chris meets Jake and realizes That he Isn’t over his past and Is drowning. He needs To Surface from the pain to fully love again.

Jake was sweet and supportive. I liked him. The white wolf added the supernatural feel to the story. This isn’t a terrible book, But i just didn’t click with Chris and felt detached to The Chemistry between him and Jake. We’re told That they’re sooo attracted to Each other but i wasn’t feeling it. The ending Was ok but don’t expect this book to have constant naughty Scenes. It doesn’t and that Was fine with This Type of Story.

TWO 4.5 Star and ONE 4 Star Review for Misinformation by Keelan Ellis #MM #homophobia @KeelanEllisAuth @Dreamspinners

30044991

Title: Misinformation
Author Name & Publisher: Kellan Ellis (Dreamspinner Press)
Publication Date & Length: June 15, 2016 – 200 Pages

Synopsis

Ethan Daniels, host of a popular conservative cable news program, has never thought of his bisexuality as a problem, though he has never acted on his attraction to men. Since his divorce, that desire has become more acute. When he meets Charlie Woods, his daughter’s first grade teacher, they have an instant spark, but Ethan hesitates to act. His contract is up for renewal, there are already rumors swirling about him because of a brief encounter from his past, and the last thing his employers want is for one of their stars to come out publicly.

Charlie avoids romantic entanglements because he prefers living on his own terms. He keeps love and sex completely separate, never seeing anyone more than a few times. Hooking up with a closeted celebrity like Ethan seems safe from emotional involvement, even if they have to keep their fledgling relationship secret.

The last thing they expect is to fall in love, but their strong mutual attraction moves them both to make changes neither of them thought they wanted or needed.

This was a fresh type of read. I truly enjoyed the different angle this one played. It felt real, almost like it could be happening right next door.
Ethan is a man who is bi-sexual and always knew he was attracted to men but never truly acted on it. He did fall in love with Dierde and had a daughter, Fiona. Ethan is a true man and does everything to put his daughter before his own needs. He moves and takes a job that is so far opposite of his true self and what he believes in.
Ethan meet’s Fiona’s 1st-grade teacher, Charlie, and has an attraction to him that he cannot resist. Due to Ethan’s job at a news station that is so far right-winged that at times, it was hard to swallow what I was reading, that he and Charlie have to keep their relationship a secret. Ethan doesn’t want to hold Charlie back and doesn’t think it is fair that he keeps Charlie a secret (see? Such a true man), but Charlie is having unnamed emotions towards Ethan therefore he wants to stay with Ethan.  These two are completely honest with each other which is refreshing. I liked how Charlie was having relationship visions and told Ethan, who then in turn has tried his best to make them become real. It was sweet and love.
Believe it or not, it is Dierdre, Ethan’s ex-wife, that steps up and encourages Ethan to follow his heart. At first, I wasn’t a fan of Dierdre, but she quickly becomes a favorite. Fiona is such a doll and I love her views on all relationships. All children need to be taught to believe that.
My only issue was that most of the book took place over 5 months and the last chapter covered almost one and half years. It felt rushed at the end, even though the last scene was the best ending wrap up which is what caused the loss of half a star. But even with that, I would recommend this book and I look forward to reading more from Keelan Ellis.

his is my first book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters development was spot on in my opinion and the sex was just SIZZLING. This book is perceptive and I felt very accurate, this was due the author dealing with two men, one who doesn’t do relationships and the other who isn’t “out” at work and working for a very conservative news station. The author was able to make everything seem very authentic and I loved the whole story. I also loved how there was no judgment between the characters and the supportive friends and family was also spot on. The author was great at keeping everything upfront and very real.

Lynn

FourStars

This was a good read. I enjoyed it. There was some turmoil about coming out and there was some turmoil about work finding out since the company was against gay people but for the most part it was pretty easy going.

Ethan in my opinion was his own worst enemy when it came to excepting that he is bisexual. He worked himself up into unnecessary worth about what others would think and feel about it when in reality it was him that needed to accept himself not others. Once he did the others were easy compared to what he did to himself. I think that Ethan put too much stock into what others thought of him so ultimately he was miserable because of it and he almost lost the best person to come into his life because of it.

Charlie is comfortable in his own skin and who is. He is out and proud but he is scared of relationships but once he mets Ethan all bets are off because he cannot help but to fall into a relationship with him. Now Charlie just needs to accept that they work and even though there is work to make the relationship work, it is ok because they are happier together then they ever would be apart. Now he just needs to accept it before he loses Ethan.

A good read with not a lot of turmoil, more like a lot of acceptance of how good things can be. Enjoyed this read.

As a huge fan of the series, this was even better than I’d hoped for. With the main series story arc over, there is time in this book for Calvin and Hobbs to properly develop as characters and finally finish the evolution from friends to lover.

As a selective mute, Ethan is only previously explored through his actions and the perceptions of other characters. it was wonderful to finally read his voice and hear his thoughts. His backstory is finally fully explored in book six and it would be impossible not to love all three Hobbs men after reading this.

The relationship between Calvin and Ethan is longer and more complicated than suggested in other stories. I loved their whole story and I loved them even more as a couple after learning their history.

There is much less action and angst in this book than in earlier books. For me, this was great. The training scenes, the routine call-outs, the social – I loved the slightly slower pace and the ability to see the characters I’ve come to love as couples and friends outside of battle situations.

What will she think of next and when will the next book in the series be released….

This book was not as action packed as the rest of the books but that does not mean that it was not as good as the rest in the series.

This book is primarily based around Ethan and Calvin. Their relationship has been based off of being best friends but along the way they have both fallen in love with one another. Ethan has disorders that has always affected him but when it comes to Calvin he finds a way to not that hinder their relationship.

Ethan is truly an exceptionally strong person because he fights to overcome all of the obstacles in his life such as his mutism. He could let that dictate how he lives and not strive to achieve what he wants out of his life but he does the opposite and fights for love and his family instead. He is someone that everyone should look up too.

Calvin has always had Ethan’s back and he know that Ethan is a strong person because most people would give up and not do what they have to in order to overcome disabilities. He is the voice for Ethan when he cannot have one for himself. Calvin is truely a hero in my eyes

Much like the rest in the series, this book ends in a cliff hanger and I personally can not wait till the next book comes out.

This book is honestly inspirational in my opinion and if u do not read it then u are missing out on something wonderful.

I thought this book was such a awesome addition to this series!

Okay so I have been waiting for Calvin and Hobbs book for awhile because there was just something about these two characters that I just wanted to know more about and this book did not disappoint at all.

Calvin and Hobbs as a couple are just so sweet and can I say the steam between these two men was so very hot! There was action in this book along with angst and on the edge of your seat moments too! But lets not forget the humor though because so many times while I was reading this book I laughed so hard at something one of these characters would do there were tears in my eyes. Which brings me to the fact you will get to see so much of the previous characters in this series in this book which I loved so much! Getting to see where everyone was at now was awesome!

I thought this author did such a amazing job with this story and these characters! I do not want to give away any spoilers so I will leave this review with… I 100% loved this book and would recommend this series!

As happy as I was to see Ash and Cael together finally I am even happier about Calvin and Ethan. Your heart just breaks for Evan and all he has been through and when we find out someone mistook him for his brother and was put through even more you just can help but want to hug him. This book is action packed and once again this team is put through the ringer but as always they seem to come out on top. I thought I wasn’t going to like the addition of TIN but I am actually ok with it and curious where it will go to. This book ended on a doozy and I need the next book ASAP!!! This is my new favorite series and I am sure I will be re-reading all of these books time and again.

I liked this addition to this series. This is one of my absolute favorite series. Every book adds a new element to the series as a whole and I love that we still get to see the characters from previous books.
This relationship grows from a childhood friendship that we’ve seen through out all the previous books in the series, but we finally get to see inside the heads of these two men.
Both are extremely strong in their own ways as they deal with everything that life has thrown at them. I particularly like that one of the main characters has a disability and isn’t perfect. It made him more realistic and relateable.
I can’t wait to see where the next book takes us. Every book sweeps me away and I can’t put it down until I’ve finished it.

Cobbs. *sigh* What can I say about Calvin and Hobbs? Only that they are so sweet, true friends, have each other backs through thick and thin and are most definitely the kinkiest of all the couples which gives Dex and Sloane a run for their money, not only in the steam department but also in the humor department. This story just might be one of my favorites.
I truly enjoyed getting to know Hobbs through his own voice. He just may be one of my favorite men of this series. I find his strength pushing through his disability amazing. He was real; his emotions, his feelings, his protectiveness, his loyalty, his fierceness, his love. Calvin was amazing in everything. He was patient, caring, and most definitely protective. These two were best friends from such a young age and have developed such a close bond, that they know each other inside and out. This story just happens to extend the inside of each other and it was hot!
We get more of Team Destructive Delta and all their shenanigans and funny banter. But we also get an inside of the Hobbs family. It will break your heart and you just might fall in love with Rafe of all people. Also cannot forget Seb. I so hope we get a story and a HEA for Seb and Hudson. The love of the Hobbs family is real. The love, compassion, and respect between Calvin and Hobbs is felt deep.
My only uh-oh factor to this story which actually makes it much more intense is the ending. What in the ever-loving world? My heart is devastated. Smoke and Mirrors cannot come soon enough, for all of us THIRDS Nerds, we are just sitting on the edge of our seats, biting our nails and pulling out our hair trying to keep our hearts calm. Bring on the action!
