5 Star, 4 Star, and 3 Star Reviews for Raw Lust (Raw Trilogy #1) by Sibley Jackson #MM #Romance @caddyorpims

CoverTitle: Raw Lust: The Raw Trilogy 1
Author Name: Sibley Jackson
Publication Date: June 27, 2016

Synopsis

*Note: This gay romance contains graphic m/m sex scenes.

Z: dynamic, in your face sexual rock star in the making. He and his band, Wild Riot, are hoping to hit the big-time, and they’re getting close. He knows a relationship is out of the question if he hopes to make it big.
Jason: low key and handsome, he’s sworn to never care for a guy again—at least not without taking it slow and easy. He chose poorly once. By the time he walked away, his self-esteem had been in shreds.

Then Wild Riot takes the stage at the city’s most popular gay club. Jason has scored a front row table. He’s heard all about the band and their sexy lead singer. Big deal. He’s seen a ton of bands.

A single spotlight explodes from the darkness, illuminating Z. Their eyes meet—and the heat between them could incinerate the whole damn place.

Before the first set ends, both know they can’t walk away. Not until they’ve had one night of scorching, animalistic sex.

After all, neither is looking for anything more. Especially nothing as inconvenient and terrifying as love.

ATTENTION: 1/3 of this story was published on Amazon only in serialized form, under the name The Performance Series. 2/3 of this story is new, due to popular demand for Z and Jason. Even if you have read The Performance Series, you will enjoy the Raw Trilogy.

I truly enjoyedthis book and I am on pins and needles waiting for the next one to come out. By the name of this book and the warning of explicit male/male scenes at the beginning of the book I thought there would not be a lot of story line in it. But that is so far from the truth.

Yes there is a lot of explicitly hot scenes in the book but there is so much more then just that.

This is a book in my opinion about two people finding each other and having this powerful connection from the get go. The problem is it comes at a time in their lives when their careers are taking off and it makes it extremely hard for them to have a relationship.

Zeke or Z to his friends is the lead singer in his band and they are the point that they may just get the contract to become even bigger. Their following is huge is getting bigger each show.

Jason is a window designer at a big retail store and is moving up in the business with each new display.

When these two men meet is only meant to be a one night stand but they both soon realized he could be so much more and decide to give it a try even though Z is leaving for tour for six weeks.

Things progress between them and they become closer. At the same time the band gets closer to its dream. It is not easy being with a rock star but both are trying. They even have issues with their friends and co workers telling both of them are fools for waiting for the other. But regardless they remain together and committed to each other.

This book was truly an amazing read. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out because I have a feeling it will be explosive. This is the first book I have read by this author but I can guarantee I will be reading more in the future.

This book was full of hotness. Jason and Z just can’t get enough of each other and when they are together it is explosive. I hate the whole I am a rocker and I am going on the road and I will be faithful crap. Yeah I know it can happen but I wonder how often and for how long. That kinds of stuff just sets me on edge but I did enjoy the book and I will read the next one in the series because I liked the chemistry between Jason and Z.

Angie

ThreeStar

This book had its moments.  While I enjoyed the premise, I struggled with the writing style and I found myself giggling through sexual descriptions.  For a rock star story, I enjoyed Z’s realistically slow building career.  The strain on his and Jason’s relationship feels honest and accurate.

Both Z and Jason feel very young in this story and the intensity of the relationship doesn’t always fit with the new adult vibe of the book.  I did enjoy the long distance relationship, the insecurities faced by both men and the trust that develops between them.

But honestly, my favourite parts of this book are the inadvertent bloopers and bizarre sex descriptions.  I highlighted so many brilliant quotations that made me giggle.  My favourite passage was probably Z’s description of licking Jason’s ass crack.   The 21 year old struggling musician says the taste of Jade’s ass “was like a fine French wine. His taste wasn’t simple.  It consisted of several layers.”  The same man whose ass tastes of French wine also has perfect balls, “like eggs in a basket”.  By the time the pucker of Jason’s ass was personified and “signalling it was willing to allow him eventual access”, I was in tears.
Possibly for the wrong reasons, I am really looking forward to the next installment in this series as both Z’s music and the relationship between the two men continues to develop.  Honestly, I just can’t wait to see how sex is described in the next book.

Title: More Than Love
Author Name: Amelia Bishop
Publication Date & Length: March 25, 2016 – 216 pgs

Synopsis

Dan watched the people in his life settle down, get married, and have kids, while he cycled through a seemingly endless string of break-ups and disappointing relationship fails. From time to time, he thought about the one that got away: Ian. The college boyfriend he’d never quite forgotten.

So when Ian comes back to town and wants to get together, Dan jumps at the chance to see his first real boyfriend again. And despite his track record, he holds out hope that he and Ian might make it work the second time around.

While Ian is still just as sweet and sexy as he was back in college, he’s also harder, slicker, and more secretive than Dan remembers. As much as Dan wants to fall head first into their new relationship, he fears those secrets, and worries what Ian might be hiding. Left unchecked, Dan’s doubt and mistrust could threaten his second chance at happiness with Ian.

Sometimes, what destroys us are not the things we fear, but our fears themselves.

what can I say, other then More than Love was such a wonderful book.

There are two main characters in this book… Dan and Ian. They went to college together and had a short relationship before Ian moved three states away after finishing school. Dan went on to become a cop. After years apart and keeping touch through Facebook, Ian is moving back to town. Dan and Ian start to get to know one another again and both still have feelings for one another so they start a relationship.

Everything is good between them but Dan has concerns about Ian and the way Ian is making money and is not fully convinced that he is not a thief. All of the concerns come to head just after Christmas and that is when the world is shattered.

This was such a great book. I could completely relate with Dan on not trusting Ian completely because it seemed that Ian was always holding something back from Dan. But at the same time I could relate with Ian because he was trying to protect his heart in a way.

Amelia Bishop did a wonderful job at making this book realistic. The emotions both of these men felt and the worry and trying to decide whether they was willing to trust one another was so believable. You could feel the fear, love, heartache, happiness, sadness, and worry radiating off the pages of this book.

Amazing job…..

This book was amazing, but I expect nothing less from Amelia Bishop. She is an extremely talented writer that enables you to just read and you become so involved in the story that you just have to continue reading. In this book we meet Dan and Ian who in the beginning you just might think they don’t belong together. Then the story really kicks in and you realize that these two men are made for each other. Amelia Bishop just draws you in and you don’t want to stop reading until you finish but the ending just comes too soon. Most of all Ms. Bishop allows you to share the fear, love, and heartache that these characters experience.

This book was just ok for me, nothing exciting. Not much happens half way through the book and then it wasn’t even really much. While you could feel the connection between the two characters and they were both written really well, I just couldn’t get excited about the story. The jumping from past to present also wasn’t my cup of tea either.

“Yep. Unless you want to skip it and go right back to your place. I could definitely be persuaded.”

Ian raked his gaze over Dan slowly, then unlocked the car and ducked into the driver’s seat with a sexy grin.

“And how am I supposed to persuade you?” Dan buckled his seat belt as they pulled out of the lot.

“Use your imagination, it’s a half hour ride.” Ian shifted in his seat, pivoting his hips and drawing Dan’s attention to the bulge at his groin.

In the car, free from prying eyes and liberated by the cocktails he’d downed at dinner, Dan let his mouth do what it wanted. He licked Ian’s jaw, dragged his tongue down Ian’s neck, and sucked the hollow at his throat while running a hand over the front of Ian’s khakis.

“Careful, any more persuasive and I’ll run off the road.” Ian chuckled and leaned in to Dan’s mouth, a low rumble of approval vibrating in his throat.

“Mmm. I’m trained for that. We’ll be fine.”

Ian laughed and took one hand off the wheel, wrapping it around Dan’s head, holding him to his neck. “That feels great. God, I’ve missed you.”

Dan sucked up the skin under his mouth, not hard enough to leave a mark, but just until Ian moaned. He’d missed this, too. Somehow, no one had ever made him feel as sexy as Ian did, no one ever had given him the same thrill. For years after college, he’d tried to re-enact the frotting he’d enjoyed with Ian, but it never felt as fulfilling with anyone else. Most other guys expected penetration, which Dan was happy enough to partake in, yet somehow, even burying himself in someone else and pounding away wasn’t as satisfying as simply rubbing against Ian.

He was hard and Ian’s neck was damp when they finally reached his neighborhood. He managed to walk up the drive and into his house with some dignity, and even locked the door behind them. As soon as that was done, though, he went back to kissing Ian. Now he could freely take Ian’s mouth, which he did, and reached down to cup his ass for emphasis. Fuck, he felt good, all muscle and wiry strength.

Ian pulled back and pressed his forehead to Dan’s. “I want to be naked with you.”

Dan laughed at the blunt request, but he couldn’t deny he wanted the same thing. “This way.” He led Ian down the hall to his bedroom and undressed, throwing his clothes on the floor.

Ian did the same, and in moments they were both nude, standing by the bed. Dan was just drunk enough to not care about the slight padding around his middle, and Ian was sober enough to respond to Dan’s attention.

“Damn, you’re sexy.”

Dan burst out laughing. “Man, I’ve put on at least thirty pounds since college.”

“So fucking sexy.” Ian repeated, and punctuated his words with a two-handed caress down Dan’s torso.

A spike of lust shot through Dan at the words and the attention, and he urged Ian onto the mattress.

Good series and a good addition to the series. I love each couple in this series and I am glad we get to see a bit of each of them in every book. I adore David and I felt all his emotions and really connected with him. Gavin has always been a favorite of mine and he just proves to be an all-around amazing person. I love Marshall and Stone too….holy hotness. I do enjoy the elements of angst and drama with the whole mystery surrounding the kidnapping. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I have read all of the books in this series and have enjoyed them all.  This didn’t disappoint, but it was definitely not what I expected.

I really enjoyed the dynamic of this story.  It was a different side to the relationships that I was used to reading about.

David and Josh are an ideal couple.  They seem to have it all.  Josh’s business is seeming to take off – he has been investing all of this time and energy in to making his club succeed.

Then you have David.  He’s the sweet, tender sub who only wants to make Josh happy.  He’s stuck in this limbo throughout the story where the reader doesn’t know if he’s coming or going.  It is a very good dynamic – it kind of shows the other side of a 24/7 relationship.

The chemistry is amazing throughout the story – it’s not necessarily the sexual chemistry, but the relationship chemistry is intense.  You want to believe both characters – to have them succeed and make it – however, with everything that’s going on, we don’t know if Josh and David will truly make it through this impasse they’ve seemed to come to.

Knight keeps you guessing and the resolution is one that I absolutely loved.  It should the true depth of devotion and love within their relationship.

Keep them coming!

FiveStars Omg!!! This book was sooooo good. I could not put it down. I love reading shifter books and this has now climbed too one of my top favorites.

For Jared to be so adverse to shifters, he was attracted to Nathan at first sight even though he tried denying the fact. When an accidental biting takes the choice of whether Jared would want to get to know Nathan better or not out of his hands, it truly was fate.

The circumstances surrounding Jared being bitten was out of both Jared and Nathan’s control. Regardless of Jerods feelings for shifters he knows there is something different about Nathan and he gives him the chance to find out if they could have more.

With the threats all around them and the rogue shifter group trying to take over, Jerod and Nathan have a lot on their plates. But the fact that their bond keeps getting stronger and stronger has both of them realizing that is exactly what they want and they both hope they do not lose it after the full moon. But only time will tell and they still have to worry about the other dangers also.

This book was so good. It has mystery, it has intrigue, it has hot scenes, it has bonding, betrayal, and it also has love. It is an all around good book and I think many more will agree.

A mistaken identity changes things for one innocent man. When Jared is bitten by mistake by Nathan his life is changed, well, at least until the full moon. Jared hates shifters, even the hot one, Nathan that tried to hit on him at the bar earlier in the night. When Nathan realizes what he does he knows things could go bad, real bad. This book was really good, I even shed a tear at the end. I wanted the 30 days to hurry up and get done but then again I wanted the 30 days to last forever because I thought Nathan and Jared together were so cute. I liked the little twist at the end. It was a good paranormal book, not too over the top.

Angie

FiveStars

Nathan is our werewolf and Jared is our human. These two men together…totally awesome! The angst, the drama, the bickering, the laughter all came together for a completely fabulous story.

Nathan accidently bites Jared, thinking he’s the werewolf he’s been chasing from a rogue pack who’s been causing troubles around the city. It’s against the law for a shifter to bite a human without consent, and Nathan isn’t sure what Jared’s reaction will be when he recovers from the bite. Nathan takes Jared back to his place to hide him until they know what the effects of the bite will be.

Jared’s past relationship with a shifter has left him wary of ever getting involved with another one. So, when he wakes up in the apartment of the shifter who he met in a club and doesn’t remember how he got there, he’s immediately on the defensive.

As they’re waiting out the 26 days for the next full moon, things rapidly change in their relationship. With situations changing, some good and some bad, a neighboring pack becomes suspicious of the relationship between Nathan and Jared, and begin to cause trouble for the pair.

I would have liked a bit more info about the rogue pack. Their demise was just a bit too neat and tidy. I can’t wait to find out if there’s a sequel to this story featuring the good doctor and Jared’s friend Seb.

Kris

FourStars

I’ve not one to read many new paranormal books as I seem to be very picky about how they are written, but I gave it a chance. This was my first book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This author wrote a very entertaining read. It was a very fast paced book and I couldn’t read fast enough. I had an immediate connection with both of the MC’s, Nathan and Jared. That connection with the characters is very important to me especially with a new author. This book had everything in it from intimidating and antagonistic relationship to eventually love. It also had some very HOT love scenes that were very passionate. I would definitely try more of this author’s works and hope that I love them as much as this one.

And the story continues on with Damien, James and Guard. I love these threemen! Is the relationship salvageable? Do they make amends and end up a trio again? I need to know!

Fantasy one features Cameron, an ex-cowboy who is losing his sight, and Xander, the owner of a small bookstore. When Cameron was no longer able to see to work on his horse ranch with his partner and lover, he sold out to hid ex and purchased a one-way ticket to fulfill his fantasy on the island. He had no desire to ever go back to civilization. Xander is in awe at the fact that Cameron has never been informed of today’s modern conveniences available to the visually impaired. And when Xander finds out what Cameron’s plans are at the end of their 5 days together, he has no intentions of allowing him to go through them. Vowing to give Cameron the life he deserves.

Fantasy two is about Ben and Tip. Ben is an author of Thriller novels and Tip takes on odd jobs here and there and also works for the guys from the island a couple times a year to pay his bills. Ben’s fantasy is to live out some of the situations he writes about in his books. One of those situations is a real life kidnapping. Little does he know how terrifying this can be when you are actually living it. Tip isn’t sure how long he can keep up the charade. His “captive” seems genuinely terrified and if he doesn’t safeword and end this whole scene then Tip will.

In fantasy three we have Leo, a Dominant in the BDSM world. And David also a Dominant in the BDSM world. David has been in love with Leo for years. When he was asked to come to the island and be Leo’s Dom for 5 days to fulfill Leo’s fantasy, he jumped at the chance. Leo wants to have a better understanding of a submissive’s point of view. His fantasy is to be topped for 5 days so he can be a better Dom. What he isn’t expecting is to be topped by a man he knows, and who is also almost 10 years younger than he is. But what really shocks him is the relationship that begins between them in just a short time.

I loved all three of these fantasies! This book is definitely better than the first. The men in the fantasies all seemed to connect better. What I’m really hoping for is the conclusion to the relationship between our three owners.

This was another great book by Sean Michael featuring James, Guard and Damien along with new characters that came to the resort for their fantasy. There is no doubt in my mind that Sean Michael is an exceptional story teller. The character development was spot on and I immediately fell in love with Cameron and Xander. I was great to see the Guard, James and Damien were able to work through their issues and still continue on together. I love the whole idea of a fantasy resort and hope that the series will continue as this gives me my BDSM fix along with my fantasy fix.

Lynn

FourStars

I really enjoy Sean Michael.  The stories flow nicely and are always interesting.

The first scenario was sweet.  There were hard things to discuss in this one and I liked how Michael didn’t really shy away from them.  Losing a sense is a big deal and how the characters both dealt with it was great!  I loved that they were sweet and kind – it was almost like insta-love, which I usually dislike, but this just worked.

I enjoyed the second scenario in this trio the most.  This one had amazing chemistry and the scene began with an unusual scenario.  I loved how great the two were together – even when Ben and Tip were playing, they had this connection.  Tip was instantly able to read what Ben needed and despite his resistance, Ben responded beautifully.  Their relationship was the most developed, I thought.

The third one was my least favorite of the bunch – it was difficult because it wasn’t really what you would think.  2 Dom’s but one going in to is wanting to learn how to be a better Dom, while the other is in love with the first.  It was somewhat difficult to understand the subtext and underlying feelings.

Finally, the trio of the books, the owners, I want, so badly to know their story.  You are just given snippets.  They have great chemistry, love each other, but there is a wall that they can’t get over.  I hope that we learn more about them in the next installation.

I really like the concept of this series, I just wish some of the wish scenarios were longer and I that we could see what happens after they leave the island. I do love the drama with Guard, James and Damien, I wish the books had more of them in it too. This series is like a mini vacation every time I read it, hot action, amazing island and beautiful men!

THREE 5 Star and ONE 4 Star Reviews for Endings and Beginnings (Collars & Cuffs #8) by K.C. Wells & Parker Williams (AUTHOR INTERVIEW) #MM #BDSM

EndingsandBeginningsFSTitle: Endings and Beginnings (Collars & Cuffs #8)
Author Name & Publisher: K.C. Wells & Parker Williams  (Dreamspinner Press)
Publication Date & Length: July 18, 2016 – 121,429 Words

Synopsis

In all his relationships, Darren Fielding never found the level of intimacy he witnessed between Thomas Williams and his sub, Peter, the day of Peter’s “rebirth.” Not only that, he never realized such intimacy was possible. For two years, Thomas’s business card has been burning a hole in his wallet. When Darren’s lover moves on, maybe it’s finally time to see where that card takes him.

Collars & Cuffs’s new barman, JJ Taylor, is really conflicted right now. He went to the club with a very specific purpose, already convinced of what he’d find there. Except it’s not what he expected at all. He certainly didn’t anticipate finding himself drawn to the new wannabe Dom. Nor could he have guessed the direction that attraction would lead him.

Old love, new love, vows, pain, rage, moving in, moving on…. The members of Collars & Cuffs face an event that touches some of them deeply, but it will only reinforce what they already know: together they are stronger, and some bonds cannot be broken.

I really enjoyed this book. We got to see almost all of the characters from previous books, which was great, I loved seeing how they are now and what they have been up to. We got to see another great relationship form. Darren and JJ were perfect for each other, they both just wanted each other so bad and you could feel that in their story. Of course the sex was off the charts. Once again we saw how people who aren’t family can be more family than our true family. I love the closeness of everyone, it just feels right. I hate that this is the last book in the series but I am hoping that the last chapter may have been a hint that there is another series in the works.

Angie

FiveStars

This series has been an absolute favorite of mine. All of the characters of collars and cuffs are not only a part of the BDSM community but they are family.

In this book the collars and cuffs family comes together to support Peter after old pain resurfaces after finding out that his old tormentor killed himself in prison but not only that they also find out that JJ was his son.

JJ carries around the pain of what his father did to others and when he first went to work at collars and cuffs he went to prove his dad’s innocents but found instead that not only is he guilty but that he also found th family he has always been looking for.

Once he meets Darren his whole life changes and JJ realizes he wants to try his submissive tendencies out with Darren as his Dom. So these two men take a journey through BDSM together. They not only find the mutual connection where that is concerned but each other and more friends and family at collars and cuffs.

All of the members of collars and cuffs are their for one another no matter the occasion and they support each other even from afar if need be.

This book was much like the others in the aspect that it kept me held captive till the very end. KC Wells amazes me with being able to make each book better then the last and this book was no exception to that. I truly enjoyed this read and look forward to reading for from KC in the future.

I can’t believe this series is ending. It was a great privilege to travel this road with two exceptional authors. I certainly hope that these authors will consider a new collaboration as I felt their writing styles complemented each other in ways that you never knew who was doing the writing.

In this book we get to meet Darren and JJ. The authors we spot on for the character development and I immediately fell in love with both MC’s. It was also great to see the characters from the previous books make an appearance.  Darren and JJ had a really sweet connection and it was really wonderful to see and experience their joys and their tribulations in the effort to build a relationship. I just can’t say enough about the writing duo of Wells and Williams. Every book they write immediately draws me in and it does not want to let me go. In this book we had everything from a couple who leaves town to a death (not telling!!)-the endings and a wedding to opening a house for homeless young people-the beginnings. There was also the hint of a new series (YEA!!) and I certainly hope that it happens.

This book was an exceptional ending with hopes for a new beginning for a new series and I applaud the authors for a completed task that will have me re-reading these books for years to come.

Lynn

FourStars

First off, I have read the previous books in this series and for the most part, really enjoyed them.  While I did give this book 4 stars, it was more due to the style of writing.  This was, so far, my least favorite of the series.

Let’s start with the bomb drop – while I can understand why people are upset, it seemed that this book focused a lot on that.  I thought this was Darren’s story.

For me, this story seemed to almost drag on.  While I was happy that I was able to see some closure on other relationships, this story was far less about Darren and JJ’s story than it was about the culmination of what was happening at the club, which, in my opinion, weakened the story.

The jumping back and forth between couples was sometimes difficult to follow and while I know who are friends and in what capacity, it was sometimes too much all jumbled, which left the conversations underdeveloped.

When Darren and JJ were the center of attention, they had a much weaker connection than the other couples.  Their connection began with mistrust and while they worked on trust, I don’t know if they ever truly found the peace they were both looking for.

The premise is that they both wanted what everyone else had.  However, it seemed that they are still plodding along in their journey, because their story was so broken up and splattered between everyone else and their drama.

While I love the series, this just didn’t work very well for me.  There was a lack of chemistry and connection between Darren and JJ for me.

“Honey, I’m home.”

Alex laughed and came out of the kitchen to greet his husband. “We’ve talked about this, right? You do not walk into this apartment and talk to me like I’m the little wife.”

Leo kissed him soundly on the cheek. “Aw, but you’d look great in an apron, holding a glass of beer out for your weary, hard-working hubby.” He smirked. “And besides, no one in their right mind would call you little.”

Alex quirked his eyebrows. “One, you don’t drink beer, which is why there’s a glass of chilled chardonnay on the living room table, waiting for you. Two, excuse me—weary? Hard-working? You’ve been standing around in leather chaps and a harness, watching while guys do all manner of things to each other, which probably included a lot of fucking, because, hey, it’s Saturday night, right?”

Leo sighed happily. “What can I say? I love my job.”

5 Star, 4 Star and 3 Star Reviews for Love’s Changes by LaQuette #MM #Romance @laquettelikes

CoverTitle: Love’s Changes
Author Name & Publisher: LaQuette (Carnal Embrace Romance Publishing)
Publication Date & Length: June 3, 2016 – 75 pgs

Synopsis

**This is an erotic novella featuring graphic and explicit language and sexual content between consenting adult men in a loving relationship. Reader discretion is advised.**

A near-fatal shot through his chest teaches Lieutenant Bryan Smyth of the NYPD two things: He wants to live to see more days and he wants to spend them with his estranged husband, Justice.

Poor decisions made under the strain of grief split the seams of their marriage. Now it’s up to Bryan to show Justice there’s still enough of their love left to salvage from the ruins, still something worth the battle ahead.

Bryan’s shooting has opened Justice’s eyes to new lessons too. The first, tomorrow isn’t promised, the second, life’s too short to live in misery. Justice has watched Bryan shuffle back and forth attempting to balance the man he is at home and the man he has to be at the precinct for too long. Now, he’s done. The only problem is, Justice’s heart is having a hard time adhering to the exit strategy in his head.

Desperate to repair their bond, Bryan does the only thing he can to keep his marriage intact, he calls his crazy sister-in-law, True to stir up some organized chaos. She’s a wildcard, yes. As unstable and deadly as nitroglycerin, but she gets the one thing Bryan needs more than anything, results.

The only question left: Is family and fidelity enough to get them through love’s changes, or is this really the end?

**This book is a spin off from the Queens of Kings series featuring Bryan Smyth and Justice Amare. Although related to the Queens of Kings world, you do not need to read that series to understand this one.**

FiveStars

I fell in love with both Bryan and Justice. These two men are both so strong, have strong jobs( one a marine the other a cop and former marine) but they lack one thing in their relationship…. Communication.

These two men have experienced so much hurt in the past in their relationship when they lost their daughter. It affected each men differently and instead of turning to one another they handled their grief differently.

Because of their lack of communication their marriage is on the rocks and it may not be able to be fixed especially since Justice has decided it was time to file for a divorce and put an end to their pain, heartache, and hurt from one another.

This book is a perfect example of what the lack of communication and thinking what the other feels instead of actually talking about it can end up ruining a perfectly happy marriage. It is an example that no matter how long u have been together that no one is a mind reader and we can all misunderstand what the other is thinks no or feeling if we do talk to one another.

This was only a short story but it was very powerful with a lot of emotions flowing through it that me as a reader was able to feel. Hoping their will be more of these two in a longer book in the future cause they are definitely worthy of more.

Great book and look forward to reading more by Laquette in the future.

This was a sweet story, however, I felt that this was only the beginning of their story.  Most of this was about their background, how they came to where they are presently in their life, their relationship and how they see themselves.

This was a very quick read, with a lot of information in it.  The reader has to quickly understand what’s going on, because LaQuette’s story is fast paced.

I wish that there had been more – I felt that this was an unfinished story and one that LaQuette could have drawn a great conclusion with, but chose not to.  I am hoping that there will be more to follow, but at the same time, hope that it is not drawn out in to 3 or 4 more books, because that would just be very annoying.

Overall though, this was sweet and a great start to what could be a great story.

If this book would have been longer I think it would have been better. Bryan was shot in the line of duty and realized that he wants to stay with his estranged husband Justice. Justice has wanted to be with Bryan the whole time, while Bryan didn’t but has now decided enough is enough. This was basically just a book with the two of them fighting back and forth on if they should stay together or not and then Justice’s family intervenes and helps them to find out what is best for them both. If we would have gotten more of the back story BEFORE the shooting and not just bits and pieces I think it would have been much better.
