I’ve read quite a few Lily Harlem books… Loved everyone of them…. however, this is my first paranormal book of hers that I read so I was a bit on edge at how it would go over.
However, she blew me away again. I absolutely loved the way we are introduced to Aimery and Ryle. Sexy, Scary Vamps…The progression of their relationship was enticing and believable. I was glad to find out what happened to Denny, but I can’t help feeling a bit angry at him for doing what he did to Bea even after he gave his explanation.
I actually really enjoyed most of the book except I felt like some things were rushed and unexplained… Like do they eat, sleep, drink to survive or simply pleasure? And at the end of the book I felt like we went from a nice steady pace to BOOM so much had happened and I was left a bit in shock and trying to catch up with where they were and what had gotten them there.
On to the second book because I need to know what the evil witch is up to!

Daniel, Grant and Kate…. I love these characters.  They have such a strong relationship and even though there are rocky times, they stand together.I wanted to hit all of them at some point in this story.  Kate, who is usually so strong, I wanted her so much to yell and scream.  But, she stayed so timid.  Daniel and Grant each had their own insecurities throughout this story and it was good to see that they each wondered how this relationship was going to work – not really whether it was, but how.

This book had great chemistry for me – they all three fit each others desires and needs.  They were willing to work with each other rather than demand.

I love Willa’s books and this one was no different.

While this book did OKAY as a standalone, I really wish I had read the book prior to it because for me I felt like I was missing bits of the story.
Everyone is running on hot and tense because of the upcoming wedding between Daniel and Kate and the arrival of her very judgmental family.
I connected the most with Daniel. While i thought the scenes between Kate and Grant were hot, I also felt like Daniel was left out and no consideration was given toward him. All the scenes were BDSM and he didn’t like that type stuff, but no one stopped to care about that, even Kate. The menage has a lot to work through and I think they were trying but even at the end I felt like it was still based mostly on Kate and Grant and Daniel just sort of got to play along too.
The whole situation with her mother and what ends up happening between them I didn’t feel was sincere, not after all the nasty things the woman had said before.
I will say that the naughty scenes were hot as hell and that alone makes me want to pick up more of this author’s work, and I think the whole disconnect for me might have came from missing what had happened in the first book.

Dylan, Hazel and Ward are a trio that I have come to love.  I love the power dynamic that each of them holds over the other.  They blend so well and love each other so fiercely.

I wanted to kill Malcolm, wanted to praise Hazel and wanted to throttle Sadie.  There were so many emotions for me in this book, but in the end, I still felt like I could read more of them – despite the heartache, the tumultuous relationships, the backstabbing, the romance, the dominance and submission, all of these things were able to give such a cohesive feeling – if Maeve had left one any one of these things, the book would not have been as wonderful.

I am looking forward to seeing what is next!

I absolutely loved this story. For the most part I rooted for Ward to come out of his shell and share his secret because all along he’s been my favorite character and we finally got to see more of that side of him in this story… and got a bit of a true menage experience, which I loved.

The beginning of this story starts out where the last one left off, thinking things have finally found a stable spot for the threesome, but we quickly find that there are still insecurities to be found and exploited. We get to see all the characters from the previous books including the horrible Malcolm and jealous Penelope.

I have to say there were a few twists mostly revolving around Sadie that I didn’t see coming and some of them straight up floored me, but I love the way Hazel handled it. She showed she has a backbone and I adored that she got it from being with Ward and Dylan.

I will say my favorite scene was in the car between Ward and Hazel. H-O-T and such a bonding time for both of them because of the situation at that time.

At the end of the book all I can say is that I wish we had more of Dylan and Ward together and got to know more of what was going on between them (like the time they were ‘caught’ by Hazel and smelled of each other, but we never found out exactly what had been going on). I do like a lot of the resolution between all the other characters that we got though.

I would most definitely pick up another book by Helena Maeve.

I truly enjoyed this story.  It had good intrigue, mystery and the romance love story was amazing!

I think the character whom I truly loved with Flint.  He showed an amazing character even behind his Hollywood persona.

Mollie and Lysander were amazing characters too.  But the relationship that developed between Mollie and Flint was one of pure love – one that only would have developed with exactly the circumstances that they met, where they were in their life and who they wanted to become.

Lysander’s character, for me, took a bit of warming up.  He seemed almost too grouchy.  But, once you learn him beyond his outward exterior, he grew on me.  He was amazingly patient and loving towards both Mollie and Flint.

This book had some very hot scenes and the romance between the three was outstanding.

I loved this story and would definitely read more from Elsbord.

I completely loved this story. The beginning sort of dragged for me as we were learning about three seperate lives, but once they started to twist together the book became so hard for me to put down. It was a bit on the longer side, but I really don’t know how there could’ve been anything taken from it.
There is a lot going on with each character and in the end there is great closure for all I believe.
The scenes between all three were super hot and you could feel the love that had been lost and refound between the men along with the need and passionate that came with Mollie being added to the mix.
I would totally pick up another book by this author as I couldn’t wait to find out how everything went for all of them all the way until the very end, where we were blessed with another little surprise.

Loved this book just as much as the last one.  I really enjoy Beth’s writing style.

Charlie, Lily and Givon are all amazing characters in their own way, however, together they have explosive chemistry and create an amazing unit.

I also loved that you caught glimpses of the other characters from previous stories.  While they do not play major roles, it was nice to see them interwoven together.

I can’t write much more without wanting to give things away, so I’ll just say that this is a series that just keeps on giving and I can’t wait for more!

AvidReader

FiveStarsI was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.
I love Beth Carter’s writing and this one was as good as the rest.  This is a great series about a Motorcycle club. The back story has  continued through all previous books. The story flows flawlessly through each book.

The back story has been captivating but incredibly sad.  What those ladies went through was awful. I love the play on the town that there all couples of three.  Someone else might find that odd, but that’s what keeps these books interesting to me. You know it’s going to happen, but its who will be part of the threesome that always keep me reading.

I loved the couple that Lily, Branch and Charlie made together.  Lily was a very strong woman and I think that’s what drew both Branch and Charlie to her.

I’m glad to see there is another book that is coming as a follow up, I would have been sad if it all ended with this book.  Excellent read and I highly recommend this series.

FiveStarsI love this series, of course I love anything to do with bikers. Each story gets better and better.  I enjoyed how this book really got into depth regarding the kidnapping of all the women. The tension between Cade and Draven was great it added so much to the story instead of being all great between the two men.  I thought Dove was a very strong woman to have survived what she went through and still come out strong. The relationship that developed between the three I thought was amazing. They went through many struggles and still came out stronger and more closer.  But I have to say I was surprised at the twist of who was responsible for the kidnapping.  I am looking forward to reading the next book!!

FourStars

At first, this book seemed much like the previous two. The girl in trouble who is rescued and falls immediately in love with her saviors, but after about a quarter of the book, things really started to change and the plot got thicker and more interesting.
I really liked watching the way thing evolved between the men who started out hating each other, but caring for the same woman. Once again there were lots of secrets and things unexpected.
The naughty scenes in this book were the best so far in my opinion. They really added in sensuality with emotions and feelings. I could do without the ‘in and out, in and out’ parts as I think ‘thrusting’ or ‘pumping’ gives enough of that.
Renee
FourStars

Dove is such a strong character right from the start.  She escapes this horrible shed, wants to live.  She never gives up.  I love that about her character.
Then you have Cade and Draven.  While their relationship is far more complicated, they start to work together to solve the mystery that is, who is trafficking the women?
The sex between the three of them is scorching and while they are still trying to solve the mystery, both men are so protective.
While I guessed who the “bad guy” was early on, it did not stop me from enjoying the book.  Because I read the previous story, this one just added to the mystery and awesomeness of the series.
I would love to continue to read Carter books!

Oh, North and Givon! I really enjoyed this story. It was quite predictable, but none the less entertaining to read. I did find the similarities between book one and book two to be a bit annoying.. you know, girl running from someone, needing protection, the older men who have absolutely no problem sharing this woman they instantly fell in love with.

Other than that, the characters were great. I really liked their development and bantering through out the book as they added a third to their friendship and turned it into a relationship. The hot biker, good cop combo was interesting.

The naughty scenes were better in this book compared to the last book. I think I figured out what about them particularily bothered me… It’s the language. The rest of the book is pretty clean language wise, but then in the bedroom there is some naughty terms tossed in with the sweet, not too sexy terms (like slit and juice, not sexy to me). However towards the end things seemed to come together and because a bit racier in terms of flow and it was much better to me.

I do hope the next relationship has some MM action or at least a variety on the damsel in distress and falling instantly for her heros plot.

ThreeandHalfStars

This was a really interesting story about a three way relationship (MFM). While I really enjoyed the play between the three main characters, I felt like Hazel’s past was played up a bit and then not fully explained. I understood it was a video and it was naughty, but I didn’t get why she was so afraid of Malcolm or what exactly it was on the video that she was embarrassed about (besides the fact that it was a sex tape)
I would’ve loved to have had a few more BDSM scenes between the trio as we got to know their dynamic more since the only one that was really kinky was the first scene in the book.
However, all that said, I really enjoyed the way the men interacted with her and tried to take care of her when she’d let them along with the personal crisis she was trying to be strong and handle on her own.
The writing was superb, but I would’ve like a bit more expansion on her history with Malcolm and Penelope… and what had gone on with her and Ward…. and what was possibly (or not) between Ward and Dylan. However, if this was a series (I’m not sure if it is or isn’t) I would most definitely pick up the next one because there was a lot of mystery left open in their relationship that I’d like to get some answers to.
Renee
FourStars

Hazel is still running from her past mistake. In this installment, I was glad that Blenke shared more of Hazel’s past. I felt that it helped me to understand Hazel that much more.
Ward and Dylan were still their usual selves – this story was more about Hazel and her path to discovering her true self.
I was less than impressed with the support (or lack of support) that Hazel’s family had – her dad – what a spineless worm.  And her mom… holy crap did I want to hit her over the head with a fry-pan to knock some sense in to her!
I was glad that Hazel had Ward and Dylan to help her through her family issues and despite not trusting Dylan with the full story until she absolutely had to – Dylan did not disappoint.  He loves her for her and Ward loves her for her too.
This was a great continuation in their story and I can’t wait for the next book, as more mystery is involved and I love Sadie’s character!

This story was a strange one for me. I felt that I was missing parts throughout the story.
Take the background of Hazel – she hints at having a family that is not very supportive, but we never really figure out why that is. Rather, it seems that it was kind of slipped in there to create more problems or instances for self-flagellation by Hazel.
Then, you have Ward and Dylan’s relationship. It seems to be more of a mystery. We know that they had a relationship, but was it just a D/S relationship for training or was it more?
I was definitely intrigued by the mystery bad guy in the story and hope in the next installment that we learn more about that aspect of the story.

FourandHalfStars

I loved this sweet story. The relationship between Givon and North was one that all people should wish for. Unconditional friendship is such a gift.

Allison, while somewhat of a meek character, was a character that I grew to love. She was trying to figure out why she had ended up in between these two wonderful men.

The relationship that develops between the three characters is, in my mind, a very realistic one. I loved how each pair had their own relationship. It was not about the three of them figuring out how to work together because North and Givon already had a loving friendship.

As far as the mystery within the story – it was a good mystery, if not somewhat predictable. Even though I was able to guess some of the turns that this story, I am looking forward to the next story.

ThreeandHalfStars

A hot cop and a hot biker? Hot damn. This story manages to combine a well-constructed murder mystery with every woman’s fantasy threesome.

North and Givon grew up together, traumatised by their equally abusive fathers. As adults, even though North runs a Motorcycle Club and Givon is the town sheriff, the two remain the closest of friends. On a camping trip, they interrupt the murder of a young woman named Allison.

Can the two men keep Allison alive and will the three of them be able to make a life together?

From hitmen to drug running, this story offers all sorts of intrigue. The awkward alliance between the Red Wolves bikers and the Sherrif’s department adds humour.

I’m not keen on instant, fated HEA stories, and I’m not entirely sure I like the two straight men and a girl storyline. I think this book would be much more believable (and hotter) with a true polyamorous threesome but this remains a simplistic straight girl’s fantasy. I’m also not entirely sold on the older men and young girl aspect of the relationship.

But maybe I’m thinking too hard. The sex is hot, the story is exciting and the author leaves room for more books to follow.

I like writing about the very ordinary girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances, so my heroines will probably never be lawyers, doctors or corporate high rollers. I try to write characters who aren’t cookie cutters and push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box. I love writing characters who are real, complex and full of flaws, heroes and heroines who find redemption through love.

I’ve been pretty fortunate in life to experience some amazing things. I’ve lived in France, traveled throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand. I am a mom to an amazing little boy. I’m surrounded by friends and family. And although I love holding a book in my hand, I absolutely adore my ereader, which I’ve named Ruby. I love to hear from readers so I’ve made it really easy to find me on the web.
