Title: Wounded Vol. 1 (Little Goddess #2 Vol.1)
Author Name & Publisher: Amy Lane (DSP Publications)
Publication Date & Length: June 23rd 2015- 200 pages
Cory fled the foothills to deal with the pain of losing Adrian, and Green watched her go. Separately, they could easily grieve themselves to death, but when an old enemy of Green’s brings them back together, they can no longer hide from their grief—or their love for each other.
But Cory’s grieving has cut her off from the emotional stability that’s the source of her power, and Green’s worry for her has left them both weak. Cory’s strength comes from love, and she finds that when she’s in the presence of Adrian’s best friend, Bracken, she feels stronger still.
But defeating their enemy is by no means a sure thing. As the attacks against Cory and her lovers keep coming, it becomes clear that their love might not be enough if they can’t heal each other—and themselves—from the wounds that almost killed them all.
The farther I get into this story, the more I love Cory and the men
around her.. and the women too. In this part we get to see as Cory is
forced to grow up a bit and learn how to deal with the loss of her
love.
I absolutely love that every single person we meet in these books had
an important role and no one is just a fluff character. There is so
much that goes on in each book that it’s a constant on the edge of
your seat read.
I have such a hard time with this being the beginning of Amy Lane’s
work since I’ve loved so many of her more recent books, but this one
is SO good I feel like people will miss it because it isn’t a newer
book. Their loss completely. The characters are so complex and the
story is so intricately woven it’s simply amazing.
This is where I really started to fall in love with Bracken and all
that he is willing to do for Cory even though she didn’t see him
‘that’ way in the first book.
