Duncan Andrews, a private detective who specializes in paranormal cases, is back, along with his usual gang. Robbie Church, his boyfriend, is a ghost. Gina, a centuries old witch, is his best friend. And Daisy, Duncan’s bulldog, just happens to be a zombie. Odd man out seems to be Nick, a history teacher. He’s a normal, living human.

Duncan’s latest case leads him to a rock band in Indianapolis called The Scarlet Tide. It doesn’t take Duncan long to realize all of the band members are vampires. He sets out to destroy them, but runs into trouble with the charismatic leader of the band, Dominic Hunt. Duncan ends up under Hunt’s psychic control, and is forced to examine his relationships with Robbie and Nick, as well as his attraction for Hunt. Can Robbie and Gina help Duncan break Hunt’s psychic grip? Is there any hope the vampire can be destroyed once and for all?

This book was another awesome addition to this series! This book can not be read as a stand alone you need to read the first two books in this series before you read this book.

So in this book you get more of Duncan who is a private investigator of the supernatural. This time he is going after a rock band full of vampires. Well one of them gets a hold of Duncan so he has to fight of this old vampire who is trying to lure him to where this vampire is staying while at the same time Robbie is sure the best thing for Duncan his him moving on. Robbie is his ghost boyfriend who died 10 years ago. Well Duncan is not ready for him to move on and the thought of not having Robbie by his side terrifies him.
This book was just so good! You get your action which is one of the reasons I love this series so much because every book I have read in this series so far has had me on the edge of my seat. You also get to see the characters from the previous books Daisy his zombie dog and Gina his best friend who is a witch. There was also Nick who still has feelings for Duncan. So you get a mixture of different characters who I loved along with a lot of action and mystery in this book.

All together I really loved this book!
I would definitely 100% recommend this book!

AuthorBio

I first fell in love at the age of 9. Her name was Alexandra Moltke, and she played Victoria Winters on the soap opera Dark Shadows. Yes, I was one of those kids who ran home from school to watch Barnabas and the other spooky people on that show. I obviously never lost my love for the macabre, and it turns up often in my writing.
I graduated from Purdue University and went on to manage a pizza restaurant. I also worked in bookstores for many years, and I joined an improvisational comedy troupe and did that for nearly a decade. I now work in a food packaging plant, testing the product before it goes onto the lines…so I basically bake brownies for a living. Someone has to do it.
Even though I write about ghosts, zombie bulldogs, and impulsive college students, some of my real life seeps into my writing every now and then. I’m not saying which bits, but there’s a scene in a bedroom in Pop Goes the Weasel which still brings back painful memories…
