Title: Bridge & Doug
Author Name: Jenn Dease
Publication Date & Length: April 10, 2015, 97 Pages
Fourth generation lawman, Bridge Bridgerton, has never seen Copper Creek, Texas, flood before. Doug Jones is a lifeguard stopping in Copper Creek to look after his grandfather’s house. Together, they help rescue some of the residents trapped in the rising water. And together, they feel an attraction for each other that gets stronger day by day. But, will they be able to stay together once the water goes down?

Bridge and Doug’s story is one of the more emotional in the collection. Working together, they rescue vulnerable residents in Copper Creek. We see glimpses of Bridge’s family in other stories, but here we become fully attached to the huge Bridgerton clan and their big hearts. I loved both of these men, but I also loved the way this book linked to the people and events in several of the other stories.
