Title: Friends With Benefits (Shifter Hardball #1)
Author Name & Publisher: Cheyenne Meadows (Dreamspinner Press)
Publication Date & Length: January 28, 2015 – 124 pgs
Playboy wolf shifter Wiley can’t duck out of his pack’s biggest annual event, despite knowing his grandmother has possible suitors lined up and waiting. Wiley has no intention of settling down, and the situation dangles just above disaster. Thankfully, Wiley’s best friend, lion shifter Ram, agrees to pose as Wiley’s boyfriend for the weekend.
They find out fate has other plans when they kiss on a dare, and the passion erupts, so hot and intense they fear the couch may spontaneously combust beneath them. Neither man is able to push the small act of affection from his mind, but both struggle with uncertainty and the ramifications of following where their libidos lead.
If they can’t outrun their feelings, they’ll have to muster the courage to face their fears before they lose everything, including their friendship.
This book was actually a very sweet book with a lot of hot mating. Ram and Wiley may be two different shifters from two different categories of shifter families but the lion shifter and the wolf shifter are best friends and hopefully soon to be mates.
Wiley is definitely a playboy out yo not find a mate but when your mate is your best friend, there may not be any use in trying to resist because fate will take care of it.
This was a book full of mischief, laughs, two men fighting their attraction of each other, hot sex, and love.
To be honest I loved Wiley and Ram but I have to say it is Pip and Grandma who make this book. Pip is a young mixed shifter and little brother to Wiley. He is full of spunk and does not think any question is off limits, no matter how embarrassing it may be. And grandma, can you say ” sowing her wild oats”. She is a trip. She has no shame what so ever and has no qualms about saying what she wants or in some cases showing off what she did.
Overall this was a brilliant read and loved it. I cannot wait to read another book in this series. Great job Cheyenne on making an all around wonderfully enjoyable read.
