Keeping Promise Rock – 5 Stars (and more if I could)
The military aspect is what drew me to this book even though they are both out for the majority of the book. There is some dark things that happen in the book, but they totally make me hoot for joy when they happened because if I’d been in their places I would’ve done the same things.
However, as much as I loved the story…. Sonny was a bit much for me. He was a bit creepy at times, although I understand that his past made him the way he was it was hard for me. Plus the fact that Ace never once stopped in the beginning to think if the plans he was making were for him, all that mattered is that they were for Sonny.
This book invoked some serious emotions that’s for sure. There was some hot scenes, sure. They are porn stars after all… but the other feelings that came out were hard to handle at times.
This just might be my favorite book of Amy Lane’s I’ve read so far, which is sort of strange to say as it’s not an easy read. Then again, maybe that’s why I liked it so much. It’s different and shows just how cruel and trying the world can be.
