Synopsis

What does it cost to sell yourself? Your body? Your heart? Your soul?

At eighteen, with no job, no money, and a young sister to care for, becoming an escort seemed the perfect answer, but by the age of twenty four, Dominque is left wondering how he can break free of his ‘short term’ solution.

Jacob is at the top of his profession, leaving him with no time or desire for a relationship. Caring for another person full time isn’t on his agenda, but that soon changes when fate steps in and offers him the chance of something more.

Unable to forget the intriguing brunette after their first date, Jacob is enticed to spend more time with Dominque, seeking to put the pain of the past behind them, and bring peace to the wounded bird who captivated him so easily. Only through gaining his trust can Jacob hope to set him free.

This book was easily one of the hottest books I have read in awhile..
Dominque who works as a escort to support his sister meets Jacob who originally did not want him due to certain reasons. The moment they meet Jacob realizes Dominique is his one he was meant to be with, the perfect sub for him. The road to them being together is not easy due to something horrible that had happened to Dominque before.
Okay this book had so much steam it was so damn hot! When they finally give in to their desire for each other just wow! The way the author wrote these characters was awesome. With these two characters you could feel the connection from the beginning. I thought Jacob was the perfect Dom for Dominque.
Dominique came across to me as a sweet and caring man who would do anything for those he loved. Jacob at first I was unsure of how I felt about his character but after reading further in the book I got his attitude and ended up really liking his character.
So with this book you get your angst, steam and when I say steam I mean so much steam! You also meet a lot of different characters in this book. I honestly can not wait for the next book I am really interested in seeing what will happen with those two characters.

All together I really loved this book!
I would definitely recommend this book!

I loved this book! Dominque works as an escort to help raise his sister, he has been doing it for six years but wants more out of life. Jacob knows what he wants in life, he has the perfect person in his mind but he just can’t find him in real life. Needing a date he logs onto a website. When Dominque is suggested to be his date he instantly says NO, he is too perfect. Well, when the escort he want backs out at the last minute Dominque goes, knowing Jacob will be disappointed but nothing can be done about it. The sparks are instant with these two. I mean INSTANT. I don’t’ want to ruin anything but this was one hot book with lots of heart too. Highly recommend.

Jacob is a wonderful Dom who wants nothing more than to find that one person who will fit his life.  He is successful, cold, controlled and above else, wanting to live his life.  I really enjoyed Jacob’s outlook on life.  He had to be caring in his job, despite his less than stellar bed side manner.  He also had to be caring in order to put up with his family – whew, that’s a huge crew!

Then you have Dominque.  I couldn’t help but love him.  He was strong, fearless, caring, a great family and above else, lonely.  I truly felt for him.  Colville wrote his character in a way that you knew his emotions, feelings and could really feel them through the page.

I absolutely HATED his sister.  I thought she had absolutely no redeeming qualities.  Even towards the end, when there was more understanding on her part, there was nothing that I liked about her.

Jacob’s family was awesome! I LOVED his mom.  I think that in this story, his family was the redeeming quality that allowed me to truly love this story.  While I enjoyed the sexual chemistry, hot sex and Dom/sub relationship that developed between Jacob and Dominque, it was really Jacob’s family that pushed, pulled and created the true story.

First off, hats off to the cover for this book. That’s what first caught my attention, because there is seriously something haunting, beautiful, strong and vulnerable about the model’s pose. I love the cover. Okay, on to the story.

I think this is my first story from this author. It’s a simple book with a “Pretty Woman” sort of theme to it. Dominique’s mother gets sick when he was 15 and his sister 8, his father leaves, then she dies when he’s 18, leaving him to take care of his sister. Oh his sister…I really, really disliked her. Such an ungrateful cow. She knew that her older brother is an escort, selling his body just to put a roof over her head, clothes on her body and food in her stomach yet she was such a BRAT. Nothing she does will ever redeem her in my eyes.
Dominique…he was interesting and confusing. He played so much characters to please his customers that he’d lost his real “self”. Even I couldn’t see which was a role and which was real sometimes. Jacob saw him though.
Jacob, the Doctor and Dom. He’s what saved this from being a 3 to a 4 Star review for me. He was just so freakin sweet and in love with Dominique. Really, all the things he said to Dominique just made my poor, romantic heart flutter. I’d have probably ripped my clothes off and jumped Jacob…*cough*
All in all, I’m willing to read another book from this author. ^_^
