Title: You Can Leave Your Boots On
Author Name: Irene Preston
Publication Date & Length: November 10, 2015 – 92 pgs
In the heart of Texas…
Liberal Austinite Travis Boyd recycles, shops local, and is partner in a successful green-building company. After his last disastrous relationship, he’ll never again date a man who’s not out. A little discretion while working for ultra-conservative clients in west Texas is hardly the same as being in the closet. Anyway, the only person he’s interested in being indiscreet with is the client’s macho son. Not happening, Trav.
Bo Vargas is a cowboy-boot-wearing, meat-eating, truck-driving ode to masculinity. He’s not gay. The men he picks up on business trips are just anonymous diversions. Travis isn’t anonymous. And there’s something about him that makes Bo want to expand his relationship options. Maybe.
When a popular dating app sends Bo and Travis on the same blind date, the night explodes in passion. One night isn’t a problem. But what will each man be willing to risk the morning after?
This novella was so steamy and sweet, it mixed together perfectly in this book!
So you get Bo who owns the company that Travis’s company is trying to merge with. Well he has been attracted to Travis for awhile but has not acted on it yet. He also has not told his family that he is attracted to men.
Well Bo’s sister sets up a dating app for Travis because they are good friends and she wants to see him happy. Well when he gets to the restaurant to meet his blind date… I am going to leave it at that because this is such a short read I do not want to give any spoilers away. This book is defiantly one you should read for yourself. So I want to say before finishing this review is the way the author wrote these characters was awesome I ended up loving both of these characters and also I will just say the steam factor is of the charts hot in this book also.
So all together I really loved this Novella!
I would recommend this book!
Triggers: Closeted relationship
I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.
This was a sweet story. Bo and Travis are working together when Bo’s insane and pushy sister gets her new friend Travis to try a new dating app. Without knowing what he was really getting in to, Travis decides, what the heck? Little did he know that his date would be his very sexy coworker… his very sexy, closeted coworker.
Bo is not above bulldozing his way through things. However, he realizes fairly quickly that he doesn’t really want to bulldoze his way in to Travis’ life. He wants Travis to let him in.
They have some amazing sex, a great connection and then… things get so sweet! Not only does Bo want to make his new relationship work with Travis, he wants to quit hiding who he is. But, in order to do so, he must face his not so lovely family.
I do wish there was more to that aspect of the story. I feel that it was quickly dispatched, when in reality, it was a major turning point.
It’s hard to write a thorough review without giving away too many details, but overall, this was sweet and honest.
