Author Name & Publisher: L.B. Gregg (Riptide Publishing)

Synopsis

Caesar Romano’s catering career is doing better than he’d ever dreamed. And so is his love life—even if his boyfriend’s house in Staten Island is way too far from civilization for his liking. But then in short order, Caesar is duped into helping his cousin propose, is tricked by his best friend and business partner into appearing on live television, and is harassed by a thug-like personal trainer and his far too beautiful wife. In fact, Caesar is almost too busy to notice that something is troubling his PI boyfriend, Dan Albright.

Almost.

Laid-back, open, charming—that’s the impression hunky former NYPD Detective Dan Albright gives everyone. Caesar can add sexually adventurous and a bit of an exhibitionist. But he also knows that Dan is hiding something—something dark and a little dangerous—and when Dan’s silence over his mysterious past threatens to harm them both, it’s Caesar’s turn to save the day.

But then again, a break-in, a gallery party, an heirloom ring, a new suit, and a stalker with bad BO are all just a typical week for Caesar Romano.

FiveStars

So first off do not read this book as a stand alone like I did because I was a little confused through some of this book and I did miss out on seeing Caesars and Dan’s relationship grow..

Caesar catering career is going great so is his relationship with Dan but a lot of things happen in this book to Caesar that makes it another typical week for him.

To start of this review I loved these two men together and I really loved Caesars character. He was funny and strong with everything he faces in this book.

You get a lot of action and some steam between these two men mixed in with some funny moments and some on the edge of your seat moments too.

Loved the way this author wrote this story and these characters! So I will leave this review with..

All together I really loved this story even though I was a little confused and I would recommend this book!

ThreeandHalfStars

I have not read the previous stories in this book.
Cesar and Dan have a budding relationship.  Despite living with Dan, Cesar misses living in the city.  He misses the noise and the closeness to work.  I found that the development of the main characters and even the secondary characters was minimal.  You know that Dan and Cesar are in a relationship, but other than a few somewhat stilted encounters, there was no real chemistry.
Overall this was a good mystery – who can really be trusted?  Dan is doing his best to keep Cesar and his life private, but when work barges in unannounced, Dan has no recourse – he must see it through.  Cesar, despite not knowing exactly what’s going on realized that he has to help Dan and in doing so, his entire family becomes involved.
Then you have Poppy and her fiasco going on.  It was all very juvenile.  The hilarity of the situation was lost on me, but that might have been because I was only just meeting these characters.
I did really enjoy the mystery aspect of this story, but everything else took away from that storyline.
