Title: Purpose
Author Name & Publisher: Andrew Q. Gordon (DSP Publications)
Publication Date & Length: June 21, 2013 — 270 pages

Forty years ago the Spirit of Vengeance—a Purpose—took William Morgan as its host, demanding he avenge the innocent by killing the guilty. Since then, Will has retreated behind Gar, a façade he uses to avoid dealing with what he’s become. Cold, impassive, and devoid of emotion, Gar goes about his life alone—until his tidy, orderly world is upended when he meets Ryan, a broken young man cast out by his family. Spurred to action for reasons he can’t understand, Gar saves Ryan from death and finds himself confronted by his humanity.

Spending time with Ryan helps Will claw out from under Gar’s shadow. He recognizes Ryan is the key to his reclaiming his humanity and facing his past. As Will struggles to control the Purpose, Ryan challenges him to rethink everything he knew about himself and the spirit that possesses him. In the process, he pushes Will to do something he hasn’t done in decades: care.

Wow my head is still spinning after read this book… Everything that happens with Will and Ryan then the end was so sad!
What can I say about this book other then you get action, angst some sweet between these two and a little romance but what happens at the end was just so sad.
Will has a spirit in him and it is vengeance so when anyone dies wrongfully Will takes that bad person out.  I can’t say two much without giving away a lot of the book but I will say this… Although I loved the authors pretense of the story and I was really okay with there not being a whole lot of romance in this book because everything that happened more than made up for that, I am not a huge fan of books were something happens too one of the MC’s. Now I really don’t know why I feel like that other than books like that are so hard for me to read. So yes that knocked it down for me even though for a lot of this book I could see it coming, I just felt like it was so unnecessary for it to come to that I guess. Other than that I really did like this book!
