Title: Burned (Ash and Flames #2)
Author Name: Ana J. Phoenix
Publication Date & Length: October 20, 2015 – 300 pgs
Three weeks after the events in Altasia, nightmares come to plague Asher. His only defense against them seems to be José, but Asher is struggling with José’s determination to shoehorn them into a relationship. If he’s being honest, he isn’t quite sure what José hopes to get out of a relationship with him besides sex.
His problems don’t end there, though. Strange things begin to happen in Riverside. Suddenly the bond is back, José’s sister falls into a coma, and to top it all off, someone sets fire to Asher’s house–and it isn’t Asher.
Somehow, this world and the other one are related, and if Asher wants to keep shit from hitting the fan, he needs to figure out how. There’s no time to worry about love, but ignoring it might be his worst mistake ever.
This book was a really good addition to this series!
This time Asher and Jose are back in their world they just have to work their way back together.
You see more of Asher’s family in this book which I felt so bad for him to have to grow up with a mother like that. I think this book helped me understand him a little more and were his attitude came from.
Jose sister ends up in the other world so he is trying to find a way to get her out while at the same time he is trying to make Asher see that he is deserving of love.
Their was some action in this book along with some angst and steam. There was really so much going on with these two MC’s that at some points my head was spinning trying to keep up with it all. You see a lot of different characters in this book too like in the first book in this series and some really evil ones too.
I honestly loved this two together, they have their ups and downs with this book but once they figure out they fit together and their love for one another it was really awesome to see especially when Asher finally admits to his feelings. Well I am trying not to give away too many spoilers so I will leave this review with I loved this world and characters this author created and I really liked this book!
I would recommend this book!
Ana writes m/m romance and erotica. Her interest in hot guy-on-guy action was first sparked by reading scandalous Japanese mangas. A dirty secret she couldn’t resist. In a long bout of insanity – also known as her life — she decided to learn the language and escape to the land of sushi, sumo, and yaoi.
She’s since moved back to Europe to be with the love of her life – delicious European chocolate.
Now she resides in the sunny part of Germany where she fills her days chasing her dreams and writing about men in complicated relationships. Her family believes she’s writing “erotic manga stories.” She’s pleased they got the erotic part right, at least.
