Seven Days ~ Rating: 4 Stars
This was a very painful but also beautiful story. There are parts in this book that may be hard to read for some. Evan lost is parents and lived on the streets earning money by picking up men. That is where Father Valentine finds him and takes him back to all boys school to help him and give him another chance. He ends up rooming with a boy named Clay and starts falling in love with him. There story progresses over the years. While I did love the way these two MC’s were together and the love they had for each other and their children. I have to be honest and say that the person responsible for hurting Evan when he was in school never got punished or arrested so that really bugged me a lot because things like that should not just be shrugged away and treated like nothing had happened. So I am giving this 4 Stars because I really did like their story even though that part really did bug me and honestly I was left feeling like that was not dealt with right at all.
A Taste Of Love ~Rating: 3 Stars
This story was about Daryl who owns a restaurant and Billy who is trying to raise his twin 5 year old brothers by himself after both his parents died. While I did like this story up to the plot twist even though I really had a hard time feeling a connection between Daryl and Billy. I have to say the plot twist really ruined this story for me sadly. It was just so out of left field and just one of those “really” moments that I honestly even had a hard time finishing this story after that. So I am sad to say this book was just not for me….
Love Comes Silently~ Rating: 5 Stars
This story was about Ken who has adopted his daughter who is very sick and has just broken up with his boyfriend who just could not deal anymore. Then there was Nick who lost his voice due to a tragic injury and has not been able to talk since then. He also sang for a band before that happened but now he does wood working and is next door neighbors with Ken. I loved these two characters and I felt like they were so good for one another. They do go through a lot of ups and downs while Ken’s daughter Hannah fights cancer but Nick is there for both of them every step of the way. This book was sad after everything this little girl has to go through to get better and sweet because Ken needed someone by his side who would be there for him and Nick was their for him the whole time. Than Nick needed someone care for him just for him and not see what he has lost by losing his voice but who he is inside. All together I really loved this story!
Spot Me~ Rating: 3 Stars
So this story was about Dan and Gene. They both work out at the gym, that is where they meet. So with this book you get to see them slowly falling for each other and some EX’s. Then you get to see a lot of working out and when I say a lot I mean a lot! It got to be so repetitive after awhile and sadly I lost interest with this one after awhile. There really was not enough character development for me so I am not sure how I feel about either of these characters. So I am sad to say this one was just not for me..
Redemption by Fire~ Rating: 5 Stars
Dirk is not liked at his fire house due to his bad attitude and the way he treats others. Lee is new at the fire house and is the only one that will go visit him in the hospital. I have to say I loved the way Lee called him out on his attitude and would not let him get away with it. Also what is hotter then two men 200+ pound all muscle together. Whew the sex scenes in this book were beyond hot and I loved they way these two men were together. All together I really loved this Novella!
Legal Artistry~ Rating: 5 Stars
This story was about Dieter who’s grandmother recently passed away and he has just found out about lost family paintings he wants to get back. Gerald is the lawyer who takes his case and feels a instant attraction to Dieter. I loved both of these characters with the way they loved one another and were so caring about each other. This book grabbed me from the start and I could not put it down. There was so much sweet in this book but not too much! Plus the steam between these two which was hot but also beautiful in the way that Gerald took such care with Dieter. All together I really loved this story!
So all together I really liked most of these stories!
