Title: Moment of Impact (Moments in Time #1)
Author Name: Karen Stivali
Publication Date & Length: January 7, 2015 – 110pgs
Outside Collin Fitzpatrick’s dorm room is a dangerous place. Beyond his door the students of his small, conservative college think he’s straight, as does his Catholic family who’d disown him if they learned the truth. Inside, he’s safe with his incredibly sexy roommate Tanner D’Amico. Their room makes a perfect place to hide away and fall in love. The moment they cross the line from roommates to lovers, Collin becomes caught between their heavenly passionate encounters and the hellish reality that someone might find out and destroy everything. Tanner’s not used to being so confined, and wants to show the world how much he loves Collin. But Collin’s not sure he’s ready for the impact stepping outside will make.
With this book you get Collin who was raised by a extremely religious family. He is gay but has not come out or acted on it. Well his Tanner and one night they decide to act on their attraction to each other.
So I thought this book was really sweet and I really liked these two men together but I did not like Wendy and what is up with Tanner bringing her back to the room every Monday and sleeping with her in front of Collin?
Then one Monday she does not come back to the room with Tanner and that is when he decides to act on his attraction to Collin. Um okay lol that was really strange to me.. I know if I like someone I probably would never sleep with someone else in front of them but that’s just me.
Other then that very weird part I really liked this book and really liked how this author wrote these two characters. I thought they were very sweet together.
Due to this being a novella the character development was slightly lacking but it was a great story. I loved how the author brought Tanner and Collin together and can’t wait to read the next book. I really liked Karen Stivali’s writing style and this made this book just fly by. For a novella there was a lot of sex in the book, I mean hot sex. This book has a HFN ending and can’t wait to read the next because I really want to see them have a HEA.
