Synopsis

Young, handsome, sometimes cruel. Noah Kress is a hardened broker, skilled enough to bring success to his company and determined to face the ever-growing challenges of the venture capital market. In his private life he is Master Noah, a very popular dominator at the Circle, one of the most exclusive private clubs in Boston. For him, at work as well as in the dungeon, people and events are just variables to be interpreted, numbers to be broken down, combinations to consider and evaluate.
But when the latest, most difficult deal threatens to make his company sink without trace, his only chance seems to be the large investment fund managed by the mysterious Martin Scheer. And in order to provide credit, Martin demands a very special guarantee.
For both of them it’s just business. Yet, what was supposed to be a mere contract might just shatter the perfect surface of their lives.
And will talented player Noah be willing to gamble following brand new rules?

FourStars

This was a strange book for me.  I liked the premise and concept, but the actual story was a little strange for me.  I gave the book 4 stars, because despite my not enjoying it a ton, it was well written and I am hoping to see these characters in a more fluid relationship in consecutive books.
Noah and Scheer make a strange couple – they both have dominant personalities, but both are looking for the same things – a relationship.
While their arrangement is unconventional, they also create this amazing bond.  And, despite there not being overwhelming gestures of love or devotion, the story sets it up in a manner where you can see their bond becoming stronger and stronger.
I do really hope that Parker gets his own book as well, as I really enjoyed his character and was very sad when he came up against trouble.
The secret group is another area where I think it could make for a great mystery/thriller story, tying in all of the characters.

So as much as I like BDSM books there was sadly too much about this book that I was honestly not a fan of…
First the degrading Noah did of Martin with the way he would call him ugly in his head. That in no way feels romantic to me.
Then the game playing that they did, yes that really annoyed me..
There was so much about this book I just could not wrap my head around. There was no real caring between these two MC’s that I could see and really no steam that was on page.
I don’t want to give any spoilers away so I will leave this review this book I am sad to say, was just not for me..
