On a romantic getaway in Alaska, Asher & Emmett will risk it all to save others when an earthquake hits and turns their paradise into a disaster zone.
Celebrating their fifth anniversary, Asher and Emmett are on a romantic getaway in a cabin in Alaska. They have plans to adopt when they return home. But their paradise is destroyed when a huge earthquakes hits. Being a firefighter and a paramedic, both men put themselves at risk to save others when the tragedy strikes. Will they be able to make it home to start a family?
I really loved this one. It’s always fun to read about an established couple facing something together, and this was a sweet story.
Although I didn’t think the style was as polished another stories in the series, it was still good. Some of it felt a bit over-the-top, like the obnoxious anti-gay character or how heroic Asher and Emmett were. But what the story lacked in dramatic tension it made up for in heart. The intimate scene between Asher and Emmett was beautiful, hot and intensely loving. I enjoyed seeing how they made new friends through the shared survival of the earthquake.
The best part about this story was that it made me want to read more about Asher and Emmett. This was just too short! It left me wanting more in the best possible way.
