In this book you get Jeff who has HIV. His first love dies in Afghanistan and he has not gotten over losing him.
Then there is Collin who was a wild child who constantly pushed limits after he father died right in front of him. He meets Jeff at the clinic and Jeff helps him by talking through things with him.
I really did like these two together.. You get the one who fights his feelings while the other pushes for him to admit them.
You get your angst with this book and the sweet also. Jeff has a lot of feelings he needs to work out in this book before he is ready for anything with Collin. When he realizes how much he cares for Collin let me just say the sparks between these two.. You also see a lot of the characters from the previous books in this series!
Now is were I will explain why I rated this 4 stars..
From some reason this book took awhile to grab me and I can not really explain why. I did like their story after everything between them got going.
So all together I really liked this book it just took me awhile to get into it.
I would recommend this book!

So while I really liked this authors writing there were a few things that did not make sense to me in this book.
So I know it is a bunch of horror stories in one book all in this one town but the part I don’t get is all these murders are happening and I mean a lot but no one finds anything weird about it at all? No cops nothing.. There were also a few stories that left me feeling confused and few that were just to gory for even me. I guess from my stand point I wanted to know why all these people in this town were either serial killers or other monsters that go bump in the night. But because this book really did freak me out and I know I will not be going through any small towns at night now for awhile or feel comfortable shutting my lights of tonight lol I want to give this book 4 stars. I just needed a little bit more to understand why all these people in this small town were evil and crazy.

So all together I really did like most of these horror stories! This book is perfect for Halloween!

Excerpt

Janine Richards had been the first to see the body, arriving an hour early to train for that Friday’s track meet. Through the indigo rays of morning, she had expected peace and quiet but instead had been gifted with the body of the football team’s quarterback hanging from the centre bar of the goal post. The police had arrived after her frantic call and all the yellow tape in the world couldn’t stop the student body from stopping to share in the horror, the grief that had blanketed DJ High.

Riley fought his way through the crowd and stopped only when Logan’s body, still hanging one hour after its discovery, swung lazily on a gentle autumn breeze. His stomach lurched and his eyes prickled, yet he couldn’t peel them away.

What, only one day previously, had been a generally happy, albeit momentarily pissed, Logan Greenway was now reduced to a bloating blue-black sac of meat swaying from the goal that Riley himself had scored over several times at practice the night before. The soccer net around his neck had bitten bloodily into his neck, which was pitched at an awkward angle and coated with what looked like thick black paint under the gentle rays of morning sun. Riley fought the urge to run, closed his throat against the violent clench in his stomach that had only occurred before when he was sick, and turned from the body that was once his teammate.

Logan had not been suicidal, that much was the truth. He had been distracted, pissed at Coach for his harsh behavior, but Logan Greenway had been the boy who had it all. Nothing about his life had held a suggestion that things weren’t going exactly the way he wanted.

Riley thought to his own home life, to the secret of his father’s sudden departure that lingered on the tip of his tongue ready to be spilled. Everyone has a secret, he thought, playing nervously with the straps of his rucksack. But what was Logan’s?

It didn’t matter anymore. Logan Greenway was dead. And school was out for the day.

Okay so this was perfect if you are looking for a quick steamy read because it was very steamy..
For me it was way to rushed and I really did not get these three together at all.  I felt like Jae was such a jerk and I really did not understand why Ian wanted him. Then there was Alistair the demon who Ian summoned for some reason who found himself in-between these two men as a prop for them to be together.
So there was a lot of this that just did not make sense to me.  But there were also parts I really liked too so I am going to leave this review with unfortunately it was just to rushed and there were other factors that made me feel like this Novella was just not for me..

This one did take me a little more to get into it but I ended up really like this book one I got farther into it.
Now Coke I really liked his character from the first book in this series. You see so much more of him in this book which I loved! Coke saves bull riders when they need him and who is also at the same time so sweet and caring about the Bull riders and his other co workers. Whenever anyone gets hurt he really feels it.
Now Dillon is a clown for the rodeo who really loves his job and also is very caring.
The two of them together fit, I really loved them as a couple.
You get some angst but also sweet and steam which i loved how well everything worked together in this book.

So all together I really liked this book!

I would recommend this book!

In this book we are getting Dillon and Coke’s story.  I found Dillon to be extremely hyper and Coke was the one everyone turned to.  I thought he was more mature and acted older.

The story was good and you got to read more about the cowboys from Book 1, which I liked.

At times I was a little confused with trying to figure out who was doing the talking in some of the conversations. It seemed a little hard to follow.

All in all I liked the book a lot and look forward to reading more in this series.

Sherry

ThreeStar

First off, let me start by stating that I did not read the other stories in this series.
I found this story extremely difficult to follow.  The POV was constantly changing and I had a difficult time with the cowboy “talk”.
While I did enjoy the heat between the characters, it didn’t really feel like a relationship to me.  It was two men, knowing what they wanted and going for it.  But, then you had the bull riding thrown in and the injured rider, it was all very swirly – lots of things going on with no real focus.
Usually I really like Tortuga books, but this one, I just couldn’t get in to.  It might have been different if I had read the previous stories.
I would say this was a decent book, but I just didn’t really like where it went.

Title: Between Good & Evil (Heavenly Sins #2)
Author Name & Publisher: L.M. Brown (Pride Publishing)
Publication Date & Length: November 27, 2014 – 220 pgs

Synopsis

Is it possible for a demon to be a good man, or are all who have fallen for temptation evil at the core?

Tristan, Machidiel, and Alastor are bound together by love, but their lives are running far from smoothly. Thanks to Tristan’s demonic bargain with an incubus they have no choice other than to accept that their lives are never going to be the same again.

To fulfil his obligations to the demon Tristan has two choices, remain with the incubus as his trainee or find a mortal to take his place. Neither option is appealing.

The three lovers struggle to release Tristan from his bargain, only to find bigger problems on the horizon when a human caught up in the mess is taken prisoner by the Demon King himself.

With no help forthcoming from either the angels or the demons, the three lovers are on their own with a seemingly impossible mission before them— rescue the mortal before he is lost in the Underworld forever.

Mac meanwhile has problems of his own. The archangels are voting on whether to ban relationships between angels and demons, and if the new law is passed he must choose between his wings and his lovers.

The three of them believe their love is strong enough to see them through the hard times ahead, but if they aren’t careful the repercussions of Tristan’s bargain could tear their ménage apart forever.

Reader Advisory: This book contains multiple male ménage.

While I did really like this book I had a hard time getting into this one until about half way through. I am not really sure why it just did not grab me at first. But once I reached that point I could not put it down.
You still get a lot of Tristen, Mac and Alastor which I loved! But there was also a part of this book with something Alastor had down to Tristen in a past life, that I am not sure I really understood why he did it and why Tristen forgave him so easily. So that left me scratching my head confused.
You get a lot of action and angst in this book, also the steam was of the charts hot in this book too between these three.
Something happens with a human Tristen had picked up while he was training with Lawrence which I still am not a fan of that guy. So that causes a whole chain of events that leads to a ending that just wow! I did not see that coming at all.
So all together the beginning of this book I had a hard time getting into but once I got a little farther in the story grabbed me and I really loved the rest of this book!
I would recommend this book!

Excerpt

That silence hid a lot from their friends, but Liam knew Chris was plagued with memories far worse than his. That’s why they decided not to celebrate alone this year. Billy and Owen were expected any minute and it was the first time they invited anyone to join them. The anniversary was bittersweet for them and they chose to celebrate it because becoming brothers meant that much to them. “Do you think they’ll find it stupid?”

Chris just shrugged as if it was no skin off his back what they thought and Liam knew that was just bravado. Fact was, they both very much cared what the two men thought. “Liar.”

His brother sighed and dropped his head back. As if shit wasn’t fucked up enough, they fell for two bastards just as fucked up as they were. “I know you’re worried about Owen. The business with Colin is growing out of their control and I’m not sure why he thinks it’s a good thing. Is he trying to prove something? And the middle of the night phone calls from the FTR? He’s looking more and more fragile every day.”

Liam knew he wasn’t stating anything new. What he didn’t know was what Chris intended to do about it. Lately, when it came to Owen, Chris conveyed zero intent and seemed to be waiting for Owen to read him as effortlessly as Liam did. Their brother bond had been forged through blood and he was afraid Chris’s expectations of Owen were unreasonable. “Do you see his face every time he thinks he’s failed to understand you? The weight of it is crushing.”

Instead of regret, all Liam saw was anger in Chris. It wasn’t a common emotion for Chris and Liam could name every time he saw it. The fact that Chris knew what he was capable of if provoked had made him extremely conscious of that emotion and he often went to great lengths to contain it.

Owen was the very definition of insecure. Just the type to inspire Chris’s protective instincts, which Liam knew for a fact Owen did. Hell, he inspired Liam’s protective instincts. Owen was stubborn though and he often distanced himself, keeping things bottled up until they manifested elsewhere. Like in panic attacks that felt like heart attacks, which he also tried to hide. Liam nearly lost it when they found out that Billy was keeping Owen’s secret.

Chris nodded slowly, as if he completely followed Liam’s train of thought and waited for him to connect the dots.

And just like that, Liam understood. “You’re pissed because he doesn’t come to you when the panic sets in. That he hides it from you and they hide it from us.”

It made total sense, but he had to wonder if they were expecting too much. After all, they couldn’t call what was going on with either man a relationship. No, they were four fucked up bastards trying to come together in some romantic—what? Not a foursome, eww…he loved Chris, but yeah, that just wasn’t happening. And Owen wasn’t his type any more than Billy was Chris’s type. But—always with the fucking buts, right?—what was happening was very definitely happening to the four of them, and Liam now had to wonder if that was the problem, because trying to come together was definitely not the same as being together.

Chris shook his head and shifted in his seat. No, he was right. It wasn’t just their brother bond that made it impossible to move forward as two separate couples. Billy and Owen had formed their own unique friendship in prison and were no more likely to move forward without the other one either. “Just once, couldn’t we have done something the easy way?”

The fire door banged open and Liam turned to see Billy and Owen, arms full of brightly wrapped packages, struggling to pull a huge cluster of balloons through the door. It was a shocking contrast to their dark thoughts and so uncharacteristically sweet of both men. Billy caught their surprised stare and yelled, “Is this where the party’s at?”

“It is now.” It might seem silly, but it was exactly what they needed and exactly who they needed it from. Maybe they hadn’t been expecting too much at all. Liam rose to give them a hand and glanced down to see the look of longing in Chris’s eyes and thought maybe it was time they all expected more.

As I walked, I rolled odd change around inside my coat pockets. The streets were busy as last minute shoppers ran to get their candy and costumes for the big night tomorrow. Head down and mind running a mile a minute, I never saw the brick wall disguised as a man I ran into. Face into the wind, I never smelled him either. The amber eyes and brindle hair were all that stopped me from either screaming or shifting. Mikel pulled me into a small bookstore. I went along because I really had no choice, but once inside the quaint bookery, I jerked my arm from his grasp. Several patrons glanced at us. Mikel muscled me into a row holding non-fiction and historical. He grabbed a book and opened it, his sharp gaze flitting between me and a fascinating how-to grow-your-own-beets book.

“Is there a reason you abducted me from the street?” I asked, moving back slightly when his big body pressed closer to allow a woman to pass behind him. His proximity was beyond distressing. It was arousing. Now that he had me cornered, there was no getting away from the heady scent that he exuded: Part sin, part warm fur, part earthy pine, wholly distracting.

“I`ve been trying to contact you for days. Why didn`t you return my calls?” he whispered, keeping his big chest plastered to my left arm. My spine was firmly against a bookshelf.

“There are several reasons,” I replied trying to sound snooty but sounding meagerly twitterpated. “One is that our classes don`t mix. . .”

“That`s a paltry reason, Templeton,” Mikel said gruffly, snapping his beet book closed.

“Well, it may be for you, but when one`s boss tells one to keep his distance and – hey!” I grabbed for my glasses when he plucked them off the bridge of my nose. Folding my arms over my pea coat, I glowered at the oaf. There would be no leaping up and down. Those days ended when I left high school. The touch of his fingers on my chin brought out an age-old response. I jerked back hard. The bookcase behind me wobbled dangerously. Mikel dropped his book to steady the shelving unit. My heart was trying to explode through my chest like an alien baby. The lycan inhaled several times then gave me a dark look.

“Calm yourself, Templeton, your odor is growing stronger.”

“Sorry, it`s just this is all too – too much,” I gasped, working to calm myself before the tingling at the base of my spine began. The bells over the front door tinkled melodiously. Soft conversation bounced off the spines of books. Mikel tipped my head back and kissed me. Right there in the middle of the non-fiction. His lips were soft. Sinfully soft. It took my lashes a moment after his mouth left mine to flutter upward. Squinting skyward, I tried to read his face but it was a blur. My glasses were placed back onto my face, albeit crookedly, and then I could see the glow of golden eyes. Oh my . .

The spirits are back with their story this time. Stefan was mentally challenged in his real life and he was hurt by someone that caused his death.  He meets Jordan and Gideon In the spirit world. It’s entertaining how they figure out how to be a spirit and learn to live as spirits.

It’s a very entertaining and fun story of Spirits. Bailey Bradford does a great job writing this cute story.

OMG this book was so good!
Okay Patrick and Will meet each other one night while both of them are drunk in Vegas. Well one thing leads to another and they wake up in the morning married and sore due to the massive amounts of sex they had. Can I just say I loved Patrick’s character so much. He was just so snarky, so many times the things he would say in this book had me laughing to the point I had tears in my eyes.
So due to reasons that are beyond Will’s control they have to stay married until they can figure a way out of their marriage. So many things happen in this book that I was either laughing or feeling sad for Will because of what Ryan does to him. I loved the way the authors wrote these characters and the whole pretense of this story. So I don’t want to give away any spoilers because this book you have got to read for yourself, it was just so good! I can not wait to read the next one to see what these two characters Patrick and Will are up to next.

So all together I loved this book!
I would definitely recommend this book!

Well what could be more entertaining then two drunk guys getting married in Vegas, nothing!!  This book is great, it starts out and the writing is so good it just captured my interest immediately.

Will and Patrick couldn’t be more different but as as couple they are fantastic. Patrick is a jerk, a very smart one and knows it. But that is what makes him a lovable character.  Will, I kind of felt sorry for, he’s hung up on his ex boyfriend.

I loved how Patrick knew how to push Wills buttons and really irritate him.  I’m looking forward to the next book just to find out what h happens in this crazy story.

Excerpt

Patrick sits down beside Will and rubs his hands together in anticipation. “So, what did Granny say? Can she free me from the shackles of our loveless union?”

Will puts his head in his hands. “It’s not going to be as easy as I hoped initially. It might take some time.”

“We knew that. How much time? A week? Two?”

“Maybe a month?”

“What?” Patrick’s voice is loud.

“Maybe more than a month? Possibly up to a year?”

Patrick’s eyes grow dark with anger. “Don’t tell me the all-powerful Eleanora Molinaro you were going on about so enthusiastically when you were convincing me of this half-baked scheme can’t make a little inadvertent marriage disappear.”

“Could you hold it down?” Will whispers. “Or do you want someone to hear?”

“Oooh, right, the Molinaro spies. Might have the place bugged. Guess I shouldn’t yell then? I’m not your toy, Will. I want a divorce and I want one now,” Patrick hollers.

Will glares at him. He raises his own voice, saying, “Don’t be so dramatic, baby!”

He stares Patrick down, daring him to say something else. “You know I love you more than life!”

Patrick looks daggers at him. “Who do you think you’re fooling, Will? The bellhops? The maids?” He wipes a hand across his face and rises. “You know, no. I can’t believe I’ve let your paranoia and insanity drag me across the country into this hornet’s nest of absurdity and—”

Patrick rants on, but Will’s not paying attention anymore, because Patrick’s tossing his new clothes onto the bed, and getting out his suitcases.

“Wait,” Will says, putting his hands on Patrick’s arms. “Wait, don’t.”

Patrick throws a shirt into the bag and sighs. “What do you want from me? I gave your plan a chance, but there is no way in hell I’m going to hang around this town for a year. Not when I could be at the Mayo Clinic or Cedars-Sinai or Vandy. Not when I can be honing my skills and expanding my practice. I am not small-town material, Will. I’m the big-time. I have absolutely no desire to play your loving spouse indefinitely and if your grandmother can’t get us out of this mess? Well, I sure as hell can.”

“Look,” Will says. “I know you can. I just need you…no, no, stop that. You’re not going anywhere.” Will pushes Patrick, trying to move him away from the bags.

Patrick lurches toward him, gripping his forearms and shoving him back with surprising strength. “I’ve been pushed around enough in my life, Will. Now, if you’ll excuse me. I’m going to take care of this my way.”

Will breathes in hard. Terror and attraction jolts through him at once. He swallows and backs away from Patrick, his hands shaking, and his throat dry. Blood rushes in his ears.

Patrick picks up his bag and heads for the door. Will tries to block Patrick from getting it open.

“Really? It’s come to this? Holding me against my will?”

Will pushes the barely open door shut with a hard slam. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, Patrick. This is just our first lover’s spat. That’s all. The first of many to come in our long, wonderfully happy marriage.”

Patrick stares at him like he’s kind of impressed by this level of insanity. “Good God, you’re drinking your own Kool-Aid.”

“Yeah, well, it’s a very, very expensive drink.”

“You think you’re so clever don’t you?”

Will shrugs. “I think I don’t know what else to do.”

Author Name & Publisher: B.A. Tortuga (Pride Publishing)
Publication Date & Length: July 7, 2015 – 208 pgs

Synopsis

Jason Scott is at the top of the bull riding game, on his way to a winning season. Along with his traveling partner, Andy Baxter, he’s riding hard on the circuit, working around the country with all of the other bull riders and bull fighters, living the good life. The only thing he wishes he had is Bax, but he’s afraid to take the step that would make them more than friends, worried that it will ruin everything. When a terrible accident leaves Jason unable to see, his whole life goes south. Jason decides to chuck it all, determined to go home and hide at his momma’s ranch. Bax has other ideas. He wants to make sure his best friend doesn’t give up, and he hatches a plan that stuns Jason and makes their friends and family think he’s crazy. With the help of the other bull riders and a very persistent bull fighter named Coke, Bax convinces Jason to give life one more try. With Jason cautiously learning to hope, and his relationship with Bax going to the next level, life gets pretty complicated. Everyone gets in on the project, from Jason’s strong-willed mother to an entire ranch full of children, all of them working to help Jason do what he loves. Will Bax be able to convince Jason that he can still ride, even if he’s blind to everything the world has to offer?

Review

FourStars

So after reading this book I find myself more and more loving cowboy m/m romances. There is just something so hot about two cowboys together.
This book was sweet but also so hard for what Jason goes through.
Andy and Jason start out as friends who are professional bull riders, but that quickly becomes so much more after Jason’s accident.
This is were I am going to tell you I really loved the two of them together. It was equal parts hot as well as sweet with how much they cared for each other.
You meet some different characters in this book also.
I really don’t want to give to much away because this is not a long read so I want to leave this review with I really liked this book!

I would recommend this book!

FourStarsWhat’s better than cowboys and romance, this book had both and it was a great story.
I loved how Andy and Jason were friends on the rodeo circuit and after some bad accidents they came together as lovers.  It was built up very nicely.

I really liked the two of them together.  I can’t wait to read book 2 to find out how Come and Andy get Jason riding again.

Only thing I didn’t like was the constant flipping back and forth between their name and their nickname, I found it confusing at first.  Otherwise I recommend this book it was a very enjoyable story.
